Mario Sports Mix seems to be fun because of the new sports (volleyball, basketball, hockey and dodgeball). But basketball seems like the exact same thing on Mario Hoops 3 on 3 but for Wii. This was a disappointment because they could have made it a different sport besides copying something from another game. I also wished that there would be more new people or additions to the Mario series. For example, I think that Rosalina should for now on be in some Mario games besides 2 or 3. They could also add Trixie Kong, Dixie Kong and some others from Diddy Kong Racing. Sorry if I'm boring you but its just something I had on my mind.

I am a huge fan of all things Mario. Wether it's sports or platforming. Mario is usually solid. However that is not the case in Mario Sports Mix. I'll start with the good, because there was'nt much. The graphics were solid, which is typical for all mario games. Also the controls were smooth and easy to learn. Now the bad. The gameplay is awful. Every sport is too easy to learn. I did'nt even watch the tutorial once, and still was able to dominate my opponents within seconds. Next if you can play this game for more than 30 minutes straight, your a stronger man than I am. After you do the same monotonous thing over and over again to your opponent. It starts to get old. Before this game came out i thought it would be the second best Wii only game released this year, besides Zelda:Skyward Sword. obviously i was mistaken.
Rated 7 out of 10 by MarioIsAwsome Good overall, but flawed in many ways.
Above I put that I WOULD recomend it to a friend, but I almost said no. Characters: I wish there were a lot more of them. There ARE some final fantasy characters. I recomend Bowser Jr. for basketball :) Play with one character a lot to get versions of that character and play a sport a lot for more characters. ex. play Yoshi a lot for dif. colors. Tournaments: mushroom, flower, and star. Tournaments can get repeatative and boring, although I do like how there are different routes after you beat a tournament for the first time. needs faster play. Controlls: too simple and easy to use. There are a couple of differences between the different sports(basketball (my favorite), dodgeball (2nd favorite), hockey (easiest), and volleyball (boring).
Rated 9 out of 10 by MARIOFAN25 GREAT GAME BUT HAS FLAWS
Mario has had some great sports games. and mario sports mix is no diffrent. it has 4 great sports hockey, basketball, dodgeball and volleyball. Each character has thier own special move they can charge up by getting coins, scoring points or charge strikes. thier is also a tornament mode where you pick a sport, 2on2 or 3on3 you teammates and the cup you want to try and win. while selecting your cup you can also change the difficulty. getting all 3 trophies for both easy and hard can be very repetitive but the diffrent paths can unlock characters. speaking of characters I would have liked more characters. but bottom line mario sports mix has great sports, a decent tornament mode, great mini games and a great character lineup.
Rated 8 out of 10 by nintendega Good Mario Sports Game.
This collection is good...but not as good as it could have been. But over all great. they tried to kindof mix all of the sports together (hince Mario Sports "Mix") But, my opinion ( I Hate to say it) Failed. I love this game and when you playing the game seperate from eachother its actualy very fun, actualy equal to or greater than other mario sports games but when your on the mix mode it gets a little confusing. its kind of hard to explain. but this is good for begginers on nonmix mode. Great game but hesitate and see if its your thing before you buy i would suggst you rent it first. Great game in my opinion.

Your the man mario. This probably is the BEST game ever. The characters in here are awesome, the stadiums are awesome, and the sports are awesome! All the characters are mario, luigi, yoshi, peach, daisy, waluigi, wario, donkey kong, bowser, diddy kong, bowser jr,and toad.I can't remember a lot of the stadiums. Then there are four sports of course and they are basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and hockey. My favorite team is mario, luigi, and waluigi. My favorite sport is hockey or dodgeball.I hope you like the game as much as I do then if you have a wii and some money then get this.

This game does look pretty awesome. Brings some nice sports into the mix all with mario twists. Plus the wi-fi compatability seems great. Play sports with strangers! Also don't listen to what anybody says about the characters there is a pretty nice selection. I'd check the website for the full list but off the top of my head I believe there's Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, Yoshi, and Miis. And each character has there onw awesome looking stadium. Can't wait for this game to come out!
Rated 6 out of 10 by Bigrichtut Overall just an average game more suited for kids
I recently purchased Mario Sports Mix with hopes that it would compare to the past Mario sports titles and I found out quickly that it does not. Gameplay is shallow with most games requiring the same simple controls. The compuer AI is non existant and can easily be beaten even on the hardest level. I would give it less than a 6 if not for the graphics which are, as usual for a Mario game great. I would highly recommend a rental first if you really are interested in buying this game, especially with the $50 price tag.
