A game that makes you think
Manhunt 2, where do I begin, this game makes you think, and really tells you how sick and demented you can be. This is the first time I've ever played a game that I actually felt bad for playing it, it just brutal and very violent but for some reason I'm just drawn to it. Its a very indepth game, the storyline is pretty good, so it keeps your interest, its not at all predictable, you never know whats going to happen next, or whats going to be around the next corner. The graphics are decent there ar no gliches or parts of the game that freezes up the enviroments are awesome. The AI are actually intelligent, you can't just run up to them and kill them, you have to be smart about it, you have to be sneaky. You have to hide, you have to watch your back. The game play its self is relatively easy but I guess it really depends on what game system you have, so I guess I really can't do a review on that part. All and all Manhunt2 is a good game, but be prepared its not for the faint of heart, but personally I think its one of the best games I've played, in a while. Thank you for reading my review.
NOT Nintendo's fault
OK first off you guys that are complaining about this being Nintendos fault have probably not done very good research. They have nothing to do with the development or rating of this game. And has been stated a dozen times it is not only Nintendo that won't allow it, it is also Sony, Microsoft, Walmart, Best Buy, and pretty much every where else. Stop blaming Nintendo they realised their mistake with no mature titles and now allow them. I own a Wii and 360 and have seen some gruesome stuff in M games so I can't imagine what this game had to do to get a AO rating. Besides knowing Rockstar they probably put something in there they knew would get this rating just to raise the buzz on it, the buzz has multiplied 10 fold since the story was released so if you have to blame someone it would probably make more sense to blame Rockstar.
Best game i've ever played!!!!!!!!!!!
this is seriously the best game i've ever played. The graphics are amazing, and this game really makes you think. it actually messes with your head in a way, and i loved it (: i would 110% recomend this to anyone, and i play this.. all the time it never gets old! the story line seemed a bit dry at first, but it really picks up and starts to make sence in like, the 3rd level.... and its long! so you can play it all the time :D get this, no questions asked! AMAZING game!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game will be better than the original and a more complete game. The downside is that it is ultraviolent and will putoff some people but for those that think that violence is a plus will really enjoy this. Imagine Metal Gear Solid 2, with over a thousand ways to mangle and execute your enemies and a more cinematic flair. The stealth is ramped up as well as the AI although it is a little arcadey like MGS. You will blow holes through people with the shockwave from a shotgun, stab people in the jugular and watch the blood spray like a hose with a nozzle, and seperate muscle from bone with your razor-- all with the Wii controls. The Wii version also has three additional weapons-- the razorblade, broken bottle and morningstar as well as graphics that look as good as any original xbox game (better than the PS2 version)
Great Horror Game
This should be a great title. Legitimately scary horror games with an interesting story are few and far between these days. I'll be picking this one up on release day for sure. Anybody who has a problem with the cuts just wanted the game for kills in the first place and is part of the problem. No kids...happy hunting.
Maybe, but then again...
Maybe this game does take it to far. Maybe the violence is to extream. Maybe people that buy this game, much like the first, do have mental problems adn are unstable. Then again, it is just a game. A game that pushes the limits like all good works of art do. Movies with Rape sceans, books with detail on slaughter, games where you see the harsh reality that is the world. But in this games defense, thats all it is, defense. Self defense. The games "hero" just wants his life back when the company chooses to destroy him. He is defending his own life at the expense of others. Also, parents have more control then they think. Dont boycott a game, teach your kids. I hate parents that dont keep a better watch on what they play or do. This game is targeted for adults and people over 18. NOT AT KIDS!
Nintendo makes mistakes
If Nintendo wanted to appeal to older gamers, rather than just kids, they wouldn't pull back on games like this. Before the system came out they promised us more mature games than the gamecube had. Currently it has so few mature titles that it is beginning to look like a repeat of the gamecube and N-64 as far as games go. All of the good games on the wii are sequels to games they already had, ie. Mario and Zelda. Think about it. The wii is basically the same thing as the gamecube but with an awsome controller, and thats really all the wii has. Im not against the wii, in fact i was one of those crazy people who waited in line for it the first day it came out, im just saying it needs more mature games and a game like manhunt could save the wii from being a "kiddy system"
I Seen It !!!
I saw the most recent wii videos of the game and they look unbelievable. I don't care if the kills got blurred a little or even darkened cause it still looks awesome and anyone that wouldn't buy this game, which is already over the top straight up violent, just cause the kills got blurred and darkened a little didn't want the game for the actual game itself anyway. The executions still look great and there's about 70 different ways to execute someone. Not buying this game for the sole reason that its not violent enough is beyond me cause it looks pretty gruesome so for those that feel this way should seek help cause the game is still excessively violent, raunchy, and disgusting. I have already reserved mine from gamestop and i can't wait to pick it up for halloween.
I personally think Nintendo did a great job with the Wii system. I like all the creatuve work put into the controll of the games. The graphics arn't as good and other systems yes. I know I own a 360 and a Wii. If anyone feels that they got ripped off by buying the wii then they should of done more research before buying the system. Nintendo said in a game informer that the wii is not for graphics they were bringing back fun factor for the family to enjoy. Yes i to though might find alot of there games cheesy. but they are fun. Just not for everyone. So my hats off to Nintendo and keep up the good work. I have a system that I can play with my kids neices and nephews and games I can play by myself. Good Job Nintendo!!!
People, people, stop freaking out.
Look, the AO rating is messed up. ESRB is overall messed up. M= 17+. AO= 18+. So AO is basically the same thimg as M. i don't understand why you are complaining though. Rockstar has two choices. Either put it through ESRB againg with another group of raters (that aren't whimps that give out AO's to games just because of violence) or change some of the content. I don't care which, but Rockstar has to do something to make this game M or they lose a lot of money. Even worse ESRB is pulling trailers off the internet because of what they call "inappropriate content" that have been on the internet for months. You need to see that it's not Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft that are the problem, the problem is ESRB.
