Rated 1 out of 10 by Hokie's QB fan GET RID OF ALL PLAY EA SPORTS :~( :~( :~(
This is the worst game I have ever played that was made by EA sports. The controls are the worst and hardest to use. The camera angles and the sound are the only two good things about it. The game is easy to win in. The game has the worst graphics I have ever played. Every all play game I have played has been bad. The statistics are bad too. The NFL superstar is the worst one they have ever made. The variety of teams is okay but the made-up teams are the worst I have ever played with. The sound though is the best of the Madden games. So this game is bad. If you had to choose between getting this and having to marry a guy. Marry the guy. This game is worse than that by a mile. So with a recap, horrible graphics, okay camera angles, easy to win, horrible controls, bad inference, good sound, bad statistics, and bad team/player variety. Don't get this game. EA Sports, make all play still but also make normal version for Wii.

This game is one of the greatest sport games I've played in a while. It is a fun game to play with friends, relatives, or even yourself. The Franchise mode is very fun! Superstar mode is excellent! It feels like your an actual player! Also, the party mode is really fun. And the game has alot of games that you can practice with to get yourself better. Now the game doesn't have as great of graphics as the PS3 or Xbox 360 but they aren't too bad, though they're are some glitches. They may not be holding the ball correctly or they may not call all the penalties. The Team/Player variety isn't bad at all. It has all the players of the 2007 season on. And the challenge is very good! You can go against good teams or bad teams! And also, the controls are not bad. They're lifelike and fun. Overall, a fun, hard-hitting game that we've been witing for from Wii!

Rated 8 out of 10 by athletes21 Best Madden Game on Wii
This is by far the best Madden game, and probably the best sports game on the Wii yet. When people think of sports on the Wii, they think stupid controls and childish graphics. These graphics are stunning compared to the newer childish graphics of Madden 10 and 11 on the Wii and stand up to the Madden games on Xbox 360 and PS3. The controls are awesome and realistic, especially when running the ball, and it is fun to play defense in this game. In most other Madden games on all consoles, defense is boring, but this is exciting. The ratings and season mode are cool and addicting and multiplayer is great. Also, they have mini-games such as 2 vs 2, which is very fun. I have this game and Madden 11 on Xbox and have played Madden 11 on Wii and this game stands out. This is a great game, especially for groups. I would suggest getting this game.

I knew the madden franchise would have a tough transition to the Wii. I mean the didnt really do a bad job but they made it a lot like the PS2 version of madden. If you are a big football fan you will enjoy this because it still has all the basics and all the beloved game modes like franchise and NFL superstar. The controls also take some getting used too. Its not as had to get used to like some games on the Wii such as MLB 2K9 but its a big change when your used to playing the PS2 verson of madden. This game has its ups and downs but still recommened for all football fans out there that dont have a PS3 or 360. I am aslo eager to try Madden 2010 for the Wii because I have heard a ton of different views about that game. The cartoony style fits the Wii better but i dont know if it is a fun FOOTBALL game

Rated 9 out of 10 by Skippy123 It got me hooked to Madden
I started playing this game one day, since I have always been a football fan. And it was amazing. It never gets too easy, it's fun for everybody, from hardcore to party gamers (out of all four categories I put casual). The graphics are okay, pretty good for a Wii game anyway, and I thought it was kind of funny to see players walking through each other every once in a while during uncontrolled play. I got every other Madden game after this, up to 2013 since that's the last one they made for Wii. Buy this if you're collecting all of the games in the series, are looking for a different stlye of Madden (only 09, 07, and this one have the style, since they changed it for 10), or simply don't want to or can't pay for the expensive new ones.

This is the worst game ever! One thing that gets under my skin is the wii's "innovative controls". Now don't get me wrong I am a big wii fan but ea makes the controls way to complicated than they need to be. For instance, when I throw the ball I have to hold the button on the d-pad and flick the remote. Sounds easy right. But the response is terrible. It might not even know you flicked the remote. And when you're in the pocket time is everything. Also, running is a pain, the graphics were about average and the menu wasn't very easy to navigate. Madden 07 was way better. Madden 09 looks really good. The controls look way better. I definitely do not recommend this game to anyone. And by now madden 09 is the thing for wii football fans. So do not buy!

Rated 1 out of 10 by LVGAMER Most Frustrating Game EVER!!!!!!
The rating of "1" is being generous. I wish I were still within the 7-day return window for this game!! This is by far the most frustrating game I have ever played due to the terrible controls and poor timing. I do not recommend this to anyone who has ever played Madden on any other console. If you have, you probably are used to precise timing between controls and players. The lack of precision in this game will raise your blood pressure every time you try to throw a late pass and get sacked for a huge loss (which will happen almost every time drop back to pass). I've played several Madden games before on Playstation and Xbox, and the experience is night and day compared the Wii version. The advanced motion control is somewhat entertaining only as QB since you do make throwing motions to get the ball down field; however, the lack of precision timing will ultimately lead to a lot of sacks and interceptions. Defense is frankly a waste of time. Just hope the computer throws an incomplete pass or runs into your defender. Once in a while you can get an interception, but mostly you'll have a group of DB's standing around with the ball landing between them. It seems to me like EA made this game for Wii simply to keep with their tradition of putting games out each season for all consoles.

Rated 0 out of 10 by nitemare This is Madden!!
07 Madden on Wii was THE Madden to play!! now '08 is taking it further!! improving upon the current motion controlls, and LOTS of WII EXCLUSIVES including a party mode featuring 22 minigames, nine new minicamp drills that can only be done on Wii, a footbal trivia option that affects your overall player rating, 2-D versions of your Miis to represent you with your ratings... plus... best of all: forget about all the talks of only Nintendo games going online this year.. MADDEN WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ONLINE PLAY FOR WII!! ticker updates, leaderboards, exhibition matchups, downloadable rosters, and the instant messageing system, the whole nine!! plus, of course, improved graphics!!

Rated 6 out of 10 by GameBigCritic Not as good as PS2
The thing that is mostly not enjoyed about this game is the creative features. I mean no creating a player (you can only edit one) no creating a team, and no creating a fan. Franchise in this game is easily enjoyable except for the fact, that you can not relocate your team, for ex. say you wanted to move the KC Chiefs to Dallas or Topeka you can't. One other thing that is bad is the gameplay if you set a 12 min. game, the score will end up being 128 - 7 and that is booorrrring I mean it will be fun at first but you'll end up selling it.

Rated 0 out of 10 by Indianapolis Colts Fanboy Preordered!
I preordered this Madden 08 the other day, and I can't wait. 07 was so intuitive with the Wii remote that after I beat Twilight Princess it's the only game I play anymore! And to think this one is going to be better. You'd think it'd be hard to top it off again! My only wish is online play! Please, I need to play someone besides my next door neighbor (who's a Dolphins fan, no less!) and I can whip him so easily. I also hope that Superstar mode becomes multiplayer meaning, you can take your player and the team he's on and go head-to-head against someone else's Superstar Character via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It's definitely gonna be a keeper!
