Gamestop Exclusive Inteview with premiere NFL quarterback for the Tennesee Titans and Madden 2008 cover boy Vince Young

1. So, the natural question, what are your thoughts/concerns on the supposed Madden Curse'?
No, no concerns whatsoever. I've always been a man of God and I put my faith in him to keep me healthy and if something happens it happens. But hopefully I'll be able to stay healthy and help my team make it to the Super Bowl.

2. What superstitions, if any, play into your own pre-game rituals? What's the most bizarre one you've ever witnessed?
The only thing I do is put on my iPod and get jamming, maybe some dancing too. Can't say that I've seen anything bizarre...Kevin Mawae walks around the locker room in a Hawaiian skirt but nobody is going to say anything to him about it. Whatever it takes to get ready for a game

3. Of all your teammates, who would be the toughest to beat in a game of Madden?
I've played against a lot of guys who take it serious. Probably the best I've played against on a regular basis is Roy Williams. He wins sometimes, I win sometimes. We have a lot of fun playing though.

4. After one year in the league, who's the hardest hitter in all of football?
I would say either Sean Taylor from Washington or Robert Griffith from Arizona. I've watched lots of film on both of them and you always have to know where they are every single play. They can bring it big time. But after going to the Pro Bowl I have much respect for defensive players. They can be out there trying to make the big hit but and take you down but they're not out there trying to hurt you. Ray Lewis - tough guy and he comes to play but he treats you with respect.

5. Who had the best touchdown celebration of all time?
No question, Ernest Givens doing the electric slide for the Oilers back in the day. I remember playing Pop Warner football back in Houston and everyone was doing it.

6. Of all the great players, both past and present, who would make up your "dream" backfield and receiver corps? Oh, I would have to say LT (LaDainian Tomlinson) in the backfield, Chad Johnson and Andre Johnson at receiver, Reggie Bush in the slot with Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates at tight end. Throw Deion Sanders in with my defense now and nobody's going stop us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as PS2 The thing that is mostly not enjoyed about this game is the creative features. I mean no creating a player (you can only edit one) no creating a team, and no creating a fan. Franchise in this game is easily enjoyable except for the fact, that you can not relocate your team, for ex. say you wanted to move the KC Chiefs to Dallas or Topeka you can't. One other thing that is bad is the gameplay if you set a 12 min. game, the score will end up being 128 - 7 and that is booorrrring I mean it will be fun at first but you'll end up selling it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It got me hooked to Madden I started playing this game one day, since I have always been a football fan. And it was amazing. It never gets too easy, it's fun for everybody, from hardcore to party gamers (out of all four categories I put casual). The graphics are okay, pretty good for a Wii game anyway, and I thought it was kind of funny to see players walking through each other every once in a while during uncontrolled play. I got every other Madden game after this, up to 2013 since that's the last one they made for Wii. Buy this if you're collecting all of the games in the series, are looking for a different stlye of Madden (only 09, 07, and this one have the style, since they changed it for 10), or simply don't want to or can't pay for the expensive new ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for its time This game is spectacular for its time. Great gameplay. I wish they would have put the same modes in the other newer ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most Frustrating Game EVER!!!!!! The rating of "1" is being generous. I wish I were still within the 7-day return window for this game!! This is by far the most frustrating game I have ever played due to the terrible controls and poor timing. I do not recommend this to anyone who has ever played Madden on any other console. If you have, you probably are used to precise timing between controls and players. The lack of precision in this game will raise your blood pressure every time you try to throw a late pass and get sacked for a huge loss (which will happen almost every time drop back to pass). I've played several Madden games before on Playstation and Xbox, and the experience is night and day compared the Wii version. The advanced motion control is somewhat entertaining only as QB since you do make throwing motions to get the ball down field; however, the lack of precision timing will ultimately lead to a lot of sacks and interceptions. Defense is frankly a waste of time. Just hope the computer throws an incomplete pass or runs into your defender. Once in a while you can get an interception, but mostly you'll have a group of DB's standing around with the ball landing between them. It seems to me like EA made this game for Wii simply to keep with their tradition of putting games out each season for all consoles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good. This was my favorite wii game by far last year. Its a little old now, as i perfer madden 11 and soon madden 12... but i think it was the best game from 2008 to early 2010 for wii as far as sports.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Madden Game on Wii This is by far the best Madden game, and probably the best sports game on the Wii yet. When people think of sports on the Wii, they think stupid controls and childish graphics. These graphics are stunning compared to the newer childish graphics of Madden 10 and 11 on the Wii and stand up to the Madden games on Xbox 360 and PS3. The controls are awesome and realistic, especially when running the ball, and it is fun to play defense in this game. In most other Madden games on all consoles, defense is boring, but this is exciting. The ratings and season mode are cool and addicting and multiplayer is great. Also, they have mini-games such as 2 vs 2, which is very fun. I have this game and Madden 11 on Xbox and have played Madden 11 on Wii and this game stands out. This is a great game, especially for groups. I would suggest getting this game.
