Kidz Sports: Crazy Golf
This game isn't HORRIBLE. I mean this game is ok. I can at least customize my character unlike other lowsy games. If you like golf games, check my recommendation list.
NEVER BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
first dont get discoarged about my nick name. i have a soft spot for gaming to. OK this game wasnt worth it at all. BUYER BEWARE of this game. It was fun at first but then it just got worss and worss i played it.It wasnt worth the $5 i got it for orignaly.
Don't even THINK about wasting money on this useless game. Horrible controls, graphics are cheap and ugly, and I only played this once with my siblings and we quit after 5 holes. Like most of my Wii games, a waste. If you're looking for fun gaming WITHOUT all of these flaws, buy Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort. They are well worth the money.
One game we will NEVER trade
Our whole family loves this game. The graphics are great and the game play is very realistic. It's the only mini-golf game that plays like real mini-golf. In Arcade mode you don't even have to get out of your favorite recliner. In Sim mode, you have to be a bit more active, but that's the point. Although the holes do take a bit long to load, the realism of the game play is worth the wait. Bank the ball off the rail to get around an obstacle or tap it lightly to nudge it in the hole. I have played a lot of mini-golf courses (real ones) and this game comes as close to that as anything I have ever seen. The sounds, while they can be a bit distracting are realistic. All in all, the programmers are very cleaver folks and I would buy every mini-golf game they produce!
Handling is very very sensitive and frustrating. You would go to putt and it would hit the ball even before you swung. You would "tap" the ball and it would go flying. This is suppose to be for kids and I did not like the fact that when the character does not meet par he hits himself in the head with the putter. I wouldn't want my kids to play this game and be influenced by that. I think that it is awful for them to put such a thing is a Kids game. It might make a child feel that it's ok to hit themselves if they don't do well in the sport or in anything they are doing. Also in order for you to move on to the next world on this game you have to get a birdie on each hole and there are 18 difficult holes. It's kind of hard to even hit par on any of them because of the sensitivity level.
Not the right mini golf game!
Looking for a family mini golf game? Well keep on looking. The programmers came up short on this one. Long load screens after every hole. 60 plus seconds is the shortest time. Makes playing the game very slow. The programmers programmed great details like birds flying in the hole overview starting screens, but could not add an arrow for ball direction making shots very frustrating when it seems all lined up. The camera is set over your right shoulder. So there is no real ability to line up shots. A tap in on power level will occasionally register as a max power shot. Buggy game play leaves me wondering why the long load times when game play and holes are very basic. Occasional out of bounds occurs on jumps shots and they programmed your ball to interact with out of bound objects. So some holes allow your ball to move in and out of play almost as a strategy, bouncing your ball of the rock to avoid a water trap. Other times the game will mark out of bounds when you see your ball resting on the green. No clear consistency on when and were rules do and don’t apply. The long wait times, I know this is a repeat but I should at least repeat it as much as it happened, does not allow young children the opportunity to play as attention span doesn't make it past 4 holes. Skip this one and look for another. Maybe the credits was the wrong area to spend so much time on. Or the separate programming of a mii inside the game instead of just importing the one already made on your wii. As a budget game wait for the dollar bin and even then negotiate a lower price.
