Fun Flying
What a fun flying game! After discovering every secret on Wii Sports Resorts' Island I was ready for another fun flying game that involved exploration and tests of flying skill. Kid Adventures: Sky Captain has 3 islands to explore, a normal island, a lava filled island, and another floating in the sky, you have to work your way up to each one, and there are plenty of tight canyons, bridges to fly under, arches to zoom through, and lots of other little bonus surprises! You'll enjoy the quick pace after you crash, you are back up in the air in no time. There are tons of challenges, missions, and accomplishments that all add in to your experience points "XP", which give you access to new planes and skins, they can be earned in lots of fun and surprising ways (abduct cows with a UFO?! Fun!). Planes include: regular prop plane, bi-plane, tri-plane, sea-plane, helicopter, jet plane (fast!), and UFO! The controls were pretty good, but a bit "arcade-y" for me, it doesn't let you easily fly upside down and do advanced maneuvers, it's always trying to flip you back upright, of course this is _Kid Adventures_ so I can see why advanced controls weren't top priority. However, despite this, the challenges have 4 degrees of accomplishment measured by time: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Gold Star. The highest level being pretty tough to attain sometimes! There is good replay value to try and unlock new skins an get better challenge times as well. A great value at $20 and a great flying game that doesn't involve heat seeking missles, however you do have water balloons at your disposal and an arch-nemesis to contend with, Schultz! But don't worry you'll save the day and be the next Sky Captain.
