Rated 1 out of 10 Movement is so slow that the game feels broken.
I looked forward to playing this game as soon as I heard it came out in Japan. Unfortunately, wile trying to put so much focus on creating a spooky ambiance they failed to add the element of realistic environments. When it comes to the control for the entire experience you feel as if you are walking in molasses. The character you play has absolutely no sense of urgency. If I was getting chased by a malevolent evil spirit I would be hitting speeds that my legs never new were possible. It seems as if the only focus on the game is to look around for batteries for your flashlight because if ya don't find one and you light dies so do you! In closing, this game was poorly realized and didn't capture the main point of the lore. Instead it capitalizes on cheap shock-factor scares with virtually no purpose or meaning behind them. Cheap thrills are not enough to bring such a horror franchise as Ju-on to game consoles. Ju-on deserves more respect.

If you are a fan of the grudge then you will love this game. Even if your not a fan you will still enjoy playing this for some Halloween scares. The graphics are pretty good for the WII but the dim lighting and the sound are what make this game creepy. The controls are a little hard to get into since you can't run through the levels or even use a joystick. There isn't really a story line in the game you just start off with your dog in a scary building and you trying to find your dog. Even with the lack of storyline what makes up for it is the scares. Just walking through the levels give you a bone chilling of you not knowing what is behind the next corner. If you can't really afford going to a real haunted house then this game could be a option for you. I think really the full downside of Ju-On is the quickness of the game even when you slowly creep through the levels. But even with the short game I guarantee this game will give you chills for months to come.
Rated 10 out of 10 by EastGermanGamer Best Haunted house Simulation!
An Excellent game, All tough a little short the game has stunning graphics and is actually very scary. I am a great fan of horror games and I found this to be one of the best. Even with a lack of a storyline ( At least to the point where you trying to find your dog) this ia a great game. The game moves along in very eerie setting that works out extremely well with the game. The sound quality is also amazing. The noise the "grudge" makes will have you scared for many months to come. I was never a big fan of the movies, only watching them out of pure interest in the Paranormal, so when the game came out I didn't have high expectations. As soon as I started the first walk though, it turned my view of Ju-On completely around. I really hope the make a sequel. This is an awsome game and the best Haunted house simulation ever made. SO in the End I recommend all who enjoy horror games Ju-on Ten stars.
Rated 0 out of 10 by GameCow What you can expect? Can you expect?
When we are faced with a game adaptation of a movie or vice versa we usually associate it right off the bat with the already crowded bin of rather down played cheap budget games that has honestly plagued the gaming retailors since day one in the history of gaming. Now i'm not saying that Juon could possibly be any different hence such short coming info and a rather dry use of previews that leave the viewer to fend for their own idea of how the game will play out. I am however saying that from what we have seen we can expect a somewhat new approach to an already founded Deeply eastern story about a family and it's members who each met a rather ill fated end. Acting as a prequal of sorts and illuminating upon more of the original family spoken of in the film, Juon for the wii may just be far grander of a game than how it is letting on now. We must focus on the use of motion on the wii mote for the flash light as well as the rather cramped and dark interiors featured in the game that has been utilized before in such games as Silent Hill. Let us not also forget the key factor of health being the actual battery life of the flashlight you are holding. If anything, if Juon cannot bring something new to the table in the world of gaming it can at least provide that quenching taste for the fanbase already established with the movie.

This game is so creepy. Not that it makes you wet your pants but man! There are so many jump-outs and dead people scaring you, it actually makes you enjoy the game. I totally recommend this, especially if you liked te movie. And if you like horror games/movies. (I love horror movies).
