I had thought after i purchased Haunted House that it was going to be pretty bland. Actually it is very nostalgic to the original Atari 2600 version! I have gotten through the first 4 floors and actually started to struggle through, it was getting tougher and pretty scary too. The place is pitch black except for the various items used to light the way. I thought the cell phone item to light your way is very clever! There are many items including: torches, matches and various lamps of color that does different things,I wont spoil it for you! I think that fans of the original Atari game will like this version as well as any younger kids who will play it. It is very refreshing to play and it is nice to not have to shoot/blow up things, which does get boring at times in games.
Nostalgic Amusement...not much else.
I played two-player with my gf, and while she is pretty good at the Lego series, this game was way too frustrating for her, so beginning gamers beware! I really wanted a fun pick-up-and-play two-player game, but this is not it. It is much too difficult to keep track of where your character is during co-op. It's like playing a haunted house version of Gauntlet in the dark. There is no soundtrack, the characters repeat tired Scooby Doo phrases, and the level-to-level objectives are unclear.
Haunted House is worth a try but I would not pay the full $20 for it.
Bad and more bad!
Haunted House bores people out of their minds even before the five minute mark.
This one is going to be so great.
Haunted houses are awesome, and games based on them that come out in October are even better. Be sure to check this one out. Buy it on release. Then they will make more.
