Elevating the Guitar Hero® series to new heights with unmatched social gameplay, an enhanced style, new in-game artists and more rock legends, Guitar Hero 5 features new surprises and challenges that will fire-up long-time fret board fanatics and create a new generation of addicts.

UNLEASH YOUR INNER ROCKSTAR® and jam any way you want with the reveal of 24 more iconic tracks to be featured on Guitar Hero® 5's massive 85-song on-disc set list. From the scorching solos of Iron Maiden's intense "2 Minutes To Midnight" to the classic, never before released live recording of "The Spirit of Radio" from progressive rockers Rush; the hard rock sounds of Grand Funk Railroad's signature hit, "We're An American Band" to the collision of punk, hip-hop and world beats in No Doubt's "Ex-Girlfriend," the game features the widest variety of today's rock hits and classic tunes from some of the biggest names in music.

Additionally, the Guitar Hero 5 set list will feature the unreleased single "Medicate" off of AFI's upcoming album Crash Love, available in the game before the album hits retailers, and Public Enemy has joined forces with Zakk Wylde to re-record PE's famous rap anthem "Bring The Noise 20XX" exclusively for Guitar Hero 5.

Numerous bands are also making their music video game debut, including A Perfect Circle, Brand New, Eagles of Death Metal, Gorillaz, Gov't Mule, Grand Funk Railroad, King Crimson, Peter Frampton, Spacehog, Sunny Day Real Estate and The Derek Trucks Band.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Guitar Hero 5 is a nice entry for the series Guitar hero 5 is a very mixed bag of guitar hero. Its soundtrack is mixed between many song genres and the same can be said between game modes. The gameplay works nice on the wii. There are the stander game modes for guitar hero then there are new ones like challenges and song creator that work good while party mode and mii freestyle aren't that much fun. The soundtrack is filled with all different types of variety which is kinda bad because you should always just focus on a couple genres it makes people happier and you can transport songs from GH world tour which is a nice touch. The graphics are pretty bad even for the wii these graphics are not good. Its a music game with good game modes, online, and a giant soundtrack that you can make bigger you should play this for along time. GH 5 is a good entry in the series.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst GH EVER!!! I can't believe they charged so much for this piece of garbage. The song selection may be huge, but the number of songs worth playing are slim. I've been playing GH since the first game and this game is so awkward to play. The only thing I would recommend this game for is if you want an over-priced coaster. The downloadable content is rather lacking as well. There are some good songs on it, but nowhere near enough to justify the price. The interface/menus are cluttered and a pain to navigate. The only thing that made it worth the purchase was the free GH Van Halen offer. The patch I downloaded to be able to play the DLC I have from World Tour made WT stop working on my Wii. PROS: A small handful of good songs. The DLC from World Tour works on this game. CONS: A small handful of good songs. The menus are very cluttered. The price. DLC patch made WT inoperable on my system. Only fun for about 15 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I didnt care for it I really liked the guitar hero games before this one, but i have Rockband 1, Rockband 2, Guitar hero 3, Guitar hero Aerosmith, and Guitar hero 5, so i really am sick of Music Games. But the game offered new music for me, and it was fun for the first day. One thing i think will be helpful to everyone is that THE ROCK BAND DRUMS WORK WITH THIS GAME. All of the instruments from Rockband works on GH. I also think that this game is the best one so far, but as i said before, i am sick of music games (although, i am looking forward to getting DJ Hero). Guitar hero 5 is a a good game for begginers because it has party play, and other band members can save you like in Rock band. One of my Favourite features on this game is the online play. Really fun for advanced players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Guitar Hero 5 Guitar Hero 5 is one of the best in the series. I got into it pretty quick. The song variety is very wide and well chosen. The downloadable content is also really good. If your a fan of Guitar Hero then go for this game. It won't disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best guitar hero game for now this is way awsome. this game contains enough songs to leave you playing for a few months, and begginers should pick this game as their first guitar hero game cuz this has party play and there nothing happens when you reach the red to the bottom (only on party play) and keeps you playing the song. this works great to see how you will face songs - in the future of your videogaming. with a lot of songs and better than the ones at world tour, 8 players online , expert+ for drums ( why only for drums?) and use ur ds for roadie play! the mii freestyle has gotten better than ever and the way you go in career mode is way better and more easy to understand than world tour or gh3. if your looking for a almost perfect guitar hero game around, this is the game for you
