this game is awsome and cool because u get critical mass
look out wii, Godzilla is in town!
This godzilla game brings a whole new level of godzilla. this is the Godzilla game ever made. Over 23 monsters at your finger tips, and 9 diffrent cities to destroy and wreck havoc. Godzilla himself dosent have cheep graphics. every monster has unquie looks and outstanding performance. Fighting is a better part. Every monster has strengths and weaknesses. some are huge, scary looking beats (Biolannte) and some are small, but still are nasty fighters (angirus.) Storyline isnt the best, but still can give you more points to unlock monsters and fight in brawl mode. The big let down is that the godzilla unleashed game for the wii is the best from the other games in the diffrent platforms. They couldn't even put on Xbox or ps3. but thats nothing to really worry about. the game is the best from the others and thats all that matters. Thanks for reading and don't listen to those other negitive reviews! GO OUT AND BUY THE GAME!
Great game for Godzilla and non-Godzilla fans!
The King of Monsters is back in this great game! This is a must have for Godzilla fans. For non-Godzilla fans, I hope you enjoy it. Sound: The monsters roars and effects are all there. From Godzilla 1954's roar to MechaGodzilla's roar. They have it all. For the soundtrack, it is horrible. The creators were nuts when they did this. At least give Keith Emmerson a chance to do the soundtrack. Forget about the war in Iraq and start worrying about the soundtrack. Thats how bad it is! Graphics: It is OK for a Wii game. Don't expect PS3 awe graphics. The buildings look great but could use some polish. When you destroy the buildings, they sink. Characters: There are 26 different kaiju. You get some that haven't even seen in a video game in the U.S. Some include MechaGodzilla 1974, Godzilla 1954, Titanosaurus, King Ceasar, Varan, and Biollante. They look like there movie versions but Biollante can use some work. Gameplay: You press buttons(A,B,Z,C) to do simple punches and kicks. You press the buttons and swing the Wii remote to do more attacks. Final Veridict: This is a must have for Godzilla fans and non-Godzilla fans alike.
King of Monsters
This is one of the best Godzilla games on the wii. The story mode is only cut pictures, but the battles are cool. Story mode could of been better. This game is different than ps2 version it has twice as more characters and more unlockables. There are 21 different monsters each with unque different fighting skills. The controls can sometimes be complecated, but you will get use to it. when you play vs mode with other friemds it is really fun to play. There is more destruction in this game than the other godzilla games. When battling in storymode or vs mode crush crystals to gain power ups and you transform into rage mode. I really wish this game has online because it would have been fun playing against other players. This game is really great. I hope they make sequel of this game with twice as more monsters including Monster X (1st and 2nd form), and better story mode. So go buy this game or order it online.
Sweet! I love it!
This game is awesome! Perfect for age 10 gamer's! It last's pretty long too! The graphic's aren't the best but pretty good... sweet sound effects along with gameplay you can battle your friends or CUP's in multiplayer or go through the story! Each faction has a different story here's a little info on each faction: Earth Defender's: These guys work toghether to destroy Earth-harming monster's! G.D.F (Global Defense Force): Huge Machine's that are programed to destroy every faction's monster's. Alien's: These guys work toghether to take Earth's power crystal's to become stronger. Mutant's: Flat out crazy monster's attacking all the faction's monster's- including there allies!
godzilla fans, this is a must have!
Godzilla: Unleashed for the Wii is one of the best Godzillas out there! It consists of over twenty monster which rocks! They are hard to unlock which is the only bad part, so I used cheat codes. Even though I used cheat codes the day I bought it, I still play it. I still get beaten by computers on a daily basis but I rock at challenging my siblings and parents. My parents suck, whos parents don't? Unless your parents are awesome, (I know that didn't make a lot of sense). The graphics are WAY above averege but the new Godzilla games usually are, so thats why I still own Godzilla Destroy all Monster Melee. Look people, the entire new Godzilla game series has the same stupid plot! Aliens come down and challenge the earth against Godzilla and send out their aliens. Godzilla has to save the earth and eventually you will beat the game. The only good part about this games storyline is that it is longer and you can save it, finally! The past two games you had to wait till you beat it or quit even if you were on the last level! I still give this game a 9. Really I would give it a 9.5 but thats not an option.
Best Godzilla Game
Godzilla Unleashed is one of the many games that was screwed over by the gaming media despite it being no where near as bad as the they claim. This is going to be biased as I am reviewing this game from the perspective of a Godzilla fan (the intended audience for this game, after all).
The gameplay for this game is absolutely top notch. I have never had as much fun with a fighting game as this one, and I managed to have a lot of fun simply playing by myself. The reason is simple: You have 28 different monsters to choose from, including many obscure ones such as Titanosaurus and King Ceaser. This is basically every Godzilla fan's dream game. No where else has any form of Godzilla media brought all these monsters into one area, and you can use them to create your dream battles. The gameplay itself is also very good. The gameplay is much slower than typical fighting games, mimicking the several thousand ton monster battles we all love to watch on TV, which both adds to a genuine Godzilla feel and also forces you think more in battle than simply memorizing a long string of buttons and chaining a really cheap combo. The game's deliberate slow pace, however, does make it jarring when a general fighting game fan tries to play this, so the people complaining about it is somewhat justified. The controls also contributed to the less than great first impression. The controls are NOT bad. They are DIFFERENT. The controls take full advantage of the Wii's motion controls (this game, by far, takes the BEST advantage of the motion controls, basing the entire fighting mechanic around it rather than some gimmicky moves in many others). This takes time to get used to, which means you'll probably be playing this game for a week before you nail down the controls and get it right. However, once you get it down, the gameplay is PERFECT. Great for inviting your friends over and having a blast beating each other up as giant monsters.
The graphics and sound are no slouch, either. The game looks absolutely gorgeous on the Wii. Even though the game came out in 2007 (relatively early in the Wii's life-cycle), this game still is one of the best looking Wii games out there. The monster models are extremely detailed, the buildings crumble realistically, and the reflective water looks absolutely amazing. This graphical power does lead to some slowdowns within parts of the game, but they're rarely long or very frustrating (the slow nature of the game means that it won't affect much on gameplay, anyways). The sound is great, too. The music is absolutely amazing. It was probably the first full gaming soundtrack I looked for on Youtube, instead of simply finding a particular game's main theme song. Heavy Melody really did a good job with this one. The monster roars are also great. I can't believe they even incorporated the ORIGINAL 1954 GODZILLA'S ROAR in the game. The only complaint for the roars is for Mechagodzilla 1. His trademark screech is not there (for some reason, Kiryu uses it in his victory roar), but other than that, all the monsters sound like we expect them to: large and mean.
Finally, there's lasting appeal. Even though in most cases, lack of online play would've drastically reduced replay value (keep reading, guys), Godzilla Unleashed manages to be fun enough that I actually found myself continually playing this game by my self for hours on end. The story of this game changes each time you make a decision. Whether or not you shoot down the alien mothership, trash or save the city, fight or ignore a certain monster, or keep or destroy a power surge, that will affect your standing within the various factions of the game, and, by extension, how different scenarios will happen and play out. This means that unless you deliberately do the exact same thing over and over again in each playthrough, every playthrough should be different (even getting defeated will still move onto the next level, your defeat obviously affecting the story). Now, this isn't a complicated RPG. The changing storyline is not that complicated, and many scenarios simply switch times. However, the fact remains that this is still a much fresher experience in a fighting game, changing from a standard tournament type single player to an actual campaign in its own right, complete with walking around in a third person view exploring the city for new objectives. The gameplay itself is already fun, as it requires actual battlefield thinking instead of memorization, which means that you'll be spending a lot of time playing this game by yourself, despite the lack of online play. Then, if you have a couple of friends that are also Godzilla fans, this game will last you for a very long time.
Definite recommend to Godzilla fans!
why this game is good/bad
this game is good no excellent perfect for kaiju lovers good story line. atari picked the strongest characters in this game including destoroyah, king ghidorah, titanosaurus etc.i like how they made mothra start out larva instead of picking larva or adult you get to be two monsters in one level/now for bad in the playstation version theres less characters and you can only fight four people each round thats about it see_ya
why i like this game!
this game is great because you get to create your own modes, and fight a total of 26 monsters!?!also, it really felt like if i was a real monster!
Great for Godzilla and Non-Godzilla fans!
Let me start off with this. If your a Godzilla fan, your gonna love it. If your a non-Godzilla fan, I hope you love it. Graphics: It is Ok for a Wii game. You won't get PS3 graphics, but you do get good graphics. The cities look good. The buildings can use a little polish though. When you destroy them, they sink. At least let them crumble down. Sounds: All the monsters sounds are there. Every single one. From Godzilla's 1954 roar to Mechagodzilla 1974's roar. The soundtrack; good luck with that. The soundtrack is horrible. The most horrible music is in there. Forget about the war in Iraq and start worrying about the soundtrack for this game. That's how bad it is. There is one solution to this though. You can go to the options and mute the music. Then, you can use a sterio/iPod/CD player, WHATEVER you have, and dowload and play Godzilla Monster March or the Godzilla theme or any Godzilla music you know. Story: The plot is easy to understand. There are a bunch of crystals appearing on earth and some of the crystals drive the monsters crazy. At the same time, the Vortaak(aliens), try to take over earth with thier giant monsters, AND at the same time, the GDF try to protect earth by using thier monsters.(Kiryu, Mecha King Ghidorah. etc) Monsters: ALOT! You get a total of 26 monsters for you to kick but! You even get Godzilla 1954! MechaGodzilla 1, Biollante, Titanosaures, Varan are some examples of the monsters. The Kaiju( japanese for giant monsters) look great. They look like thier movie counter parts. They don't even use the 1990's King Ghidorah, they use 2001 King Ghidorah. Gameplay: It is Ok. You press buttons to use simple kicks and punches. You swing the remote and press the buttons to do more damaging moves! You can also use energy attacks( of course). Sometimes when you try to grab the buildings, you jump. Final Veridict: This is a great game for Godzilla fans and Non-Godzilla fans alike. You get to use alot of Godzilla monsters and arenas to destroy in to satisfy your little needs.
