THIS GAME ROCKS!!!
THIS IS AN AWESOME GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok fun when first got
ok i loved it when i first got it but know its boring
A decent yet not at all great shooting game...
It was okay. I mean it's just a basic old shooting game. But truly I had a lot more fun with the original arcade Ghost Squad. The ups of the game are Wii Zapper and multiplayer. If you don't have the Wii Zapper I recommend you just don't play it at all. So basically it's an okay game, but if you have the time I recommend you try to find a better shooter.
Ghost Squad is based on a commonly used arcade game called Ghost squad. It follows the adventures of an elite team of highly trained military professionals fighting the cold and harsh grip of terrorism. The game has other modes like ninja mode, where the enemies are ninjas and you shoot throwing stars instead of bullets and water party mode, everyone is in a bating suit and you use water guns instead of guns. The game does give you costume options and certain paths you can take. These options help make the game more interesting. The graphics and voice acting are terrible though. But you don't notice that much till you play the game a lot though. So overall, I had a lot of fun with this recently made arcade shooter, it's not the best game ever but it's still very enjoyable especially if you like arcade shooters.
Pretty fun for what it is...
Okay, first disclaimer: I haven't played this except in an arcade with my brother. However, he and I got great enjoyment out of the various costumes...he was a panda and I was the ninja. I think its an extremely good rail shooter, better than Area 51. A note about the Wii Zapper. I haven't played the game w/ the wii zapper. I have, however, played with Namco's zapper on Umbrella Chronicles. I think both zappers are awkward and unnecessary. The story itself is also your usual fare: save/help/cover the good guys, rescue the hostages and don't kill the wrong guys. Fight the terrorists and have fun doing it. I think the graphics are pretty good (at least they were in the arcade) and the sound is kind of what you'd expect: lots of gun noises, reload sounds and guys shouting at you. It is short and it is repetitive. But if you're looking for a fun, relatively clean rail gun shooter to play with a friend (or your brother ;), this one's a good bet.
This game rocks!!!
I think that this game would be a lot more fun to play if you could have more than four people playing one game at the same time on a split screen. The graphics could definitely have been better. It would also help if this game had a better story line, because after you complete the first level of each mission you repeat the same mission over and over again it just gets harder each time, there are slight changes it storyline because each time you complete a level the next time you play you can choose a different path through the level. I wish that they would come out with an updated version of this game with more than three levels. I remember when this game was an arcade game in the mall. It was more fun when it was in the mall then it is now on the Wii, because you never got the chance to stay around (in the mall) and play more than a couple of levels on four quarters, anyway not the point. To sum it up I would definitely recommend this game to anybody who likes first person shooters, and anybody who might not want to play games that are rated 'R'.
From the arcade to the Wii. This game can be great and bad at the same time. With only three levels they can get harder and longer. So the challenge of this game is solid. Graphics are nice. It's not 360 great. But it gets a thumbs up. Responsiveness of your Wiimote can be ok. If you have quick reflexes then it shouldn't be a problem with this game. The story line is not very great. I can quickly summarize the whole game in 4 words "Terrorist, Guns, save leaders." Controls can be changed to you liking (but with a limit.) So the game is very flexible. Sounds is ok. but it's mediocre. it can get annoying to hear a hostage say "I'm not a terrorist!" So to a point you just want to shoot them. With interface there practically is non. It's a rail shooter!!!! You do fight in a jungle (spoiler alert) and it's does have a little interface. So with the fact that you can unlock guns and costumes. Also the fact that the levels can get harder the game can keep you going till you get to the very last rank. So I proudly give this game an 8-10 (aka a fun solid game)
So You Wanna Be a Ghost?
Ghost Squad is a good game. I received it for the holidays three years back. It's fun remembering to that time because at that time I only had a Wii, the system targeted toward the hardcore audience when I myself was, and still am, a hardcore gamer. Ghost Squad, though, is a great game. Before I was obsessed with Gears of War and its multiplayer, I was obsessed with Ghost Squad. Ghost Squad is a light-gun shooter, meant for utilizing the Wii Zapper. A light-gun shooter is a shooter that puts you and your character on a set path, so you cannot move freely. That isn't really a bad thing, but I like freedom, so Gears of War, Call of Duty, and other shooters are suited for me. Ghost Squad does give you a choice as you progress in level, though. There are three missions, and you have to shoot people, disable a bomb, shoot people, save hostages, shoot people, defeat a boss. As you play more and more as I did, you are given more choices as of how to handle the situation, which is cool, like being able to use a smoke grenade, and then use thermal vision. It's pretty neat. Ghost Squad's graphics are okay. They do the job, but are far from good. I at least know what I'm shooting at, but they are far from the set hardcore standard of Super Mario Galaxy and the like. The sound is really awesome too, and for one reason: it's cheesy. It makes it so cool. The main menu music sounds like something from an 80's game. Not to mention, the soundtrack is funny. The voice acting is what makes it, though. The voice acting is SOOOOO cheesy. The Ghost Squad and their commander speak enthusiastically, like an over-exaggerated version of a soldier taking duties from his commander. It's not only then, though. The bosses speak stupidly as well. Lacaard Zimone has a very, umm..., flamboyant accent, while Alex Havoc talks little and sounds (and looks) like an idiot. The enemies say stupid things, like "I'm over here!" If you're trying to kill someone , would you say that. Imagine Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2 yelling during that meeting, "I'm over here!" Lastly, the lips are not synced. And it's not the type of Alan Wake quality, either, it's the funny Japanese cartoon-esque kind. It's really hilarious. Gameplay-wise, you can't complain. There's nothing wrong with it, although some control options work CONSIDERABLY better than others. For instance, the Wii Zapper makes this game so much more fun. Leveling up and unlocking better fake weapons is fun, and unlocking cool and comical costumes is also great (the panda suit is awesome!). Why do I give the game a 7? The game is too short, and too simplistic. The graphics aren't great either. Really, shooting terrorists in the face is fun for a few rounds of the three short levels there are, and there's also a diversion of a party mode. It isn't the best. Playing alone (which is what I did half of the time) is not much fun, either. It's a great rental, but know what you're getting into.
Best game ever
First, I was not sure to buy it, but finally I bought it, and when I played it I felt in love with it. I play it with my wife and we love it, is the best arcade shooter for wii. I also play it with the Wii Zapper, that gives more entertaiment to the game. It's awesome in co-op mode. Have basic controls, you can play it with the Wii remote only. Sometimes you can take desitions and that changes the path of the mission. Also you can unlock costumes and weapons like shotgun, machine gun, pistols etc. for your character.
A great remake
This was a truly great game. It was fun on the arcade versiom playing with the big machine gun. But when youre playing on the wii either disarming a bomb, saving hostages, or shooting down a chopper. When i first got this game i thought it was just the three levels and youre done. But each time you complete a level the level gets modified and you find yourself doing something very different then the last. The graphics were pretty good except for the mouths. when people talked the voices and mouths were way off.The storyline was pretty good because you had to save the president and very important people from some wild terrorist gruop. The one thing i found was the multiplayer wasnt very fun because it was the exact same thing as regular player. Bu toverall i do recommend this to a person that loves a good shooter.
