by RayTheUlitimateGamer A decent yet not at all great shooting game...
It was okay. I mean it's just a basic old shooting game. But truly I had a lot more fun with the original arcade Ghost Squad. The ups of the game are Wii Zapper and multiplayer. If you don't have the Wii Zapper I recommend you just don't play it at all. So basically it's an okay game, but if you have the time I recommend you try to find a better shooter.

Okay, first disclaimer: I haven't played this except in an arcade with my brother. However, he and I got great enjoyment out of the various costumes...he was a panda and I was the ninja. I think its an extremely good rail shooter, better than Area 51. A note about the Wii Zapper. I haven't played the game w/ the wii zapper. I have, however, played with Namco's zapper on Umbrella Chronicles. I think both zappers are awkward and unnecessary. The story itself is also your usual fare: save/help/cover the good guys, rescue the hostages and don't kill the wrong guys. Fight the terrorists and have fun doing it. I think the graphics are pretty good (at least they were in the arcade) and the sound is kind of what you'd expect: lots of gun noises, reload sounds and guys shouting at you. It is short and it is repetitive. But if you're looking for a fun, relatively clean rail gun shooter to play with a friend (or your brother ;), this one's a good bet.

From the arcade to the Wii. This game can be great and bad at the same time. With only three levels they can get harder and longer. So the challenge of this game is solid. Graphics are nice. It's not 360 great. But it gets a thumbs up. Responsiveness of your Wiimote can be ok. If you have quick reflexes then it shouldn't be a problem with this game. The story line is not very great. I can quickly summarize the whole game in 4 words "Terrorist, Guns, save leaders." Controls can be changed to you liking (but with a limit.) So the game is very flexible. Sounds is ok. but it's mediocre. it can get annoying to hear a hostage say "I'm not a terrorist!" So to a point you just want to shoot them. With interface there practically is non. It's a rail shooter!!!! You do fight in a jungle (spoiler alert) and it's does have a little interface. So with the fact that you can unlock guns and costumes. Also the fact that the levels can get harder the game can keep you going till you get to the very last rank. So I proudly give this game an 8-10 (aka a fun solid game)

I think that this game would be a lot more fun to play if you could have more than four people playing one game at the same time on a split screen. The graphics could definitely have been better. It would also help if this game had a better story line, because after you complete the first level of each mission you repeat the same mission over and over again it just gets harder each time, there are slight changes it storyline because each time you complete a level the next time you play you can choose a different path through the level. I wish that they would come out with an updated version of this game with more than three levels. I remember when this game was an arcade game in the mall. It was more fun when it was in the mall then it is now on the Wii, because you never got the chance to stay around (in the mall) and play more than a couple of levels on four quarters, anyway not the point. To sum it up I would definitely recommend this game to anybody who likes first person shooters, and anybody who might not want to play games that are rated 'R'.

Ghost Squad is based on a commonly used arcade game called Ghost squad. It follows the adventures of an elite team of highly trained military professionals fighting the cold and harsh grip of terrorism. The game has other modes like ninja mode, where the enemies are ninjas and you shoot throwing stars instead of bullets and water party mode, everyone is in a bating suit and you use water guns instead of guns. The game does give you costume options and certain paths you can take. These options help make the game more interesting. The graphics and voice acting are terrible though. But you don't notice that much till you play the game a lot though. So overall, I had a lot of fun with this recently made arcade shooter, it's not the best game ever but it's still very enjoyable especially if you like arcade shooters.

Ghost Squad is an arcade light-gun game released by Sega in 2004. As such, don't expect this Wii port to offer impressive graphics, good voice acting, or any sort of lengthy campaign. What you get here is a short but sweet on-rails shooter that delivers bite-size fun for up to 4 players. There are 3 main levels in arcade mode, and each only takes about 10 minutes to beat. However, there are plenty of multiple paths and unlockable weapons / costumes to keep subsequent play-throughs interesting. Other than that, there are a few quick training mode missions that help you get used to the controls...and that's it. A couple more exclusive missions added to arcade mode would have given this game a lot more replay value--but even as it is, Ghost Squad is a must-have for arcade enthusiasts. Keep them coming, Sega!

This was a truly great game. It was fun on the arcade versiom playing with the big machine gun. But when youre playing on the wii either disarming a bomb, saving hostages, or shooting down a chopper. When i first got this game i thought it was just the three levels and youre done. But each time you complete a level the level gets modified and you find yourself doing something very different then the last. The graphics were pretty good except for the mouths. when people talked the voices and mouths were way off.The storyline was pretty good because you had to save the president and very important people from some wild terrorist gruop. The one thing i found was the multiplayer wasnt very fun because it was the exact same thing as regular player. Bu toverall i do recommend this to a person that loves a good shooter.
Rated 10 out of 10 by tdude1196 Awesome arcade shooter comes to wii
This game is great i just got it and right away its fun. First of all the controls are great plus it can be really realistic with the wii zapper since you can fire with the z button its more like firing a real gun the choices of weapons are also great theres at least 50 weapons to choose from and same with costumes. The bad thing is the games a little short but replayibility is fun since you can make decisions that change your path also there is a 4 player mode called party mode when you finish it you get paradise mode. This mode switch's your gun with a water gun the enemies as girls in bathing suits (there always covered for parents) i think its from dead or alive kinda looks like it. Overall this game is really a fun shooter on the wii and is great for its low price

Ghost Squad for the Wii is a good game with great replay value. I''ve played through the "campaign" (three short missions) about 15 times, and I haven't even played through the whole game yet. What do I mean? Well, Sega decided to put branching paths into each of the missions, so you could literally play through the three missions well over 100 times and never have played the same campaign twice. Yeah, it's awesome. The game is very easy, and you can't exactly lose. You shoot the bad guys, shoot some more bad guys, and if you die, a Continue? screen pops up, and you can keep on playing. At the end of each mission there is a boss, which is very fun. The only problems that I have with this game are that it is way to easy and short (a campaign run will take 30-40 minutes) and the graphics and sound aren't the best. When you have to rescue hostages, they say the same thing over and over again. "Don't shoot!" "I'm not a terrorist!". It gets old fast. What can you expect, though, it's the Wii. The game is very responsive and has great controls. I'm pretty sure there is one time in each mission where you can go into hand-to-hand combat with a terrorist, which is very fun and, if you win, rewarding. That's my review so thanks for reading.
