Gamers will explore this darkly compelling story through the eyes of two of the world's most deadly creatures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great graphics and effects This game was pretty fun. Even though at times wandering around was boring, it was exciting to beat bosses. And the graphics and the effects were amazing and realistic. I would recommend this to people that like to see animals battle and collide. And personally the scorpion is a ferocious animal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deadly Creatures If the box art didn't clue you in already, Deadly Creatures is not for the faint of heart. However, if you have a taste for things that go bump in the night, this game won't disappoint. Let me start by saying my only complaint of this game - it was too short! I got through it in five hours, and a seasoned gamer could probably do it in less! Its really a shame, because the game is very good, and I wanted to stay in its world just a little bit longer. The best part of the game is the fact that the developers really got into making this game as realistic as possible, and it certainly shows. The graphics are a marvel, and its amazing that the Wii could power a game like this. The controls make it feel like you really are this creature that's traveling around the desert in the game. The motion sensors could have been better, but motion detected moments come very rarely, so its not a big gripe. I also found the sounds in the game to be quite disgusting; when you take down an enemy, the crunching and the gnawing really makes you shiver. In conclusion, Deadly Creatures is very rare - a GOOD third-party game for the Wii! Unfortunately, I can't honestly recommend buying it due to its very short length. However, you'd be a fool for not at least renting it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was sceptical at first... Until this game went into the Wii console. Here is my review. I hope it is helpful! Challenge: 8 - It is not a very hard game although it can be a bit challenging to navigate through as most of the terrain is usable. There is a guide “arrow” to help you along which simply gives you the direction towards the end of the level. The most challenging parts I have had were: Finding all of the Grub larvae and Leaf Crickets, Web hopping, and two words… Rattlesnake and Struggs. They are tough. Graphics/Animation: 9 - While the human characters lack detail and appear “cartoonish”, the creatures themselves and the terrain are beautiful and detailed. Seeing the world through the arachnids’ point of view is beyond creative and everything is scaled to suit such. This is definitely an eye pleaser. The camera does get a little iffy in small areas and if you are crawling down a tunnel and switch from floor to wall to ceiling, it can get confusing at times as the camera angle switches. Length/Story line: 9 - The game was finished in roughly 6 hours. The story itself did not lack much, considering you play arachnids who have eventful meetings with Struggs and Wade as they keep coming acrossed one another throughout the game. The game itself gives you the creatures’ perspective throughout. For what it is, the length is honestly perfect considering that for it to continue on would mean a never-ending cycle which would end up tediously dull. Controls: 9 - There are some issues if you are using older Wii-motes while playing. Like the finishing moves appeared to be hit or miss until we switched to a newer wii-mote and nunchuck and were able to nail the moves. (This especially helped during the first battle and the final one.)Interface: 10 - The updated goal menu helps keep you updated on moves and current goals. There is also a menu that you can access to check out your creatures’ moves, collections of various kills and gathered grubs/ crickets. Very handy and easy to use. Sound: 9 - While unrealistic in the sounds the creatures make. (Some sound like bears, lions, etc) they are rather fitting. Even the developers mentioned that the sounds were not true to the creatures, but they did add a bit of depth to them. And the soundtrack is simple yet fitting as well.Recommend: Yes. All in all, visibly appealing. The terrain and creatures that make it up, as well as the finishing moves, web hopping, digging, cutting etcetera, really make the game what it is. The dialogue is rather amusing as well. (Leave it up to Hopper (King Kuppa for you Mario Bros. Fans, Land of the Dead) and Thornton (Bad Santa, Sling Blade) to add some humor to a game about arachnids.) The Pros definitely outweigh the cons. My personal opinion is; Even if you are an arachnophobe, you can get enjoyment out of this game. Though not all games are for everyone this is definitely one to rent or borrow first so that you can try it out for yourself, then perhaps buy it if it appeals to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Animal Planet On Crack! Attention if you are afraid of bugs do not play this game! I mean it this game has a lot of creepy creatures, and I do mean alot. However if your like me, who love senseless violence in video games than play this game cause it is awsome. Witness an exprience in a video game unlike any you've played before. Awsome combat is what makes this game shine the most. Followed by one of the scariest settings on a wii game. I'm serious is awsome. I rented this game thinking it would be another one of those cheap wii features and boy was I totally wrong. This game wowed me in many ways. Let me talk about the controls, they are responsive and yet interactive at the same time. The game is fun to play with the easy going controls and amazing sound. Playing as two totally different bugs is fun, most of all bacause the control settings are so different between them. For example the scorpian is like a slow moving yet powerful tank, while the spider is more like a ninja that swings like spiderman. Another cool feature are the finishers, I tell ya this game is very brutal wiuth those finishers. And some huge bosse. Fight against different creatures like rattle snakes, lizards, and of couse man. All in all tis is a great wii feature its scary but fun. I know some people will disagree with me on this but I loved the game and I think anyone who has a wii but like mortal kombat or god of warthis is the game to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Creative This game is the most creative game i have ever seen. I love the way the storyline is very well put together. Only thing i wish is that it was much longer than what it was. But i can understand it for it being the first in its series. It would be great if they could come out with more deadly creature series featuring other deadly creatures across the world and even Like lions and the oceans deadly creatures. I give this game a 10!!! Everything was excellent in this game from beginning to End. I would recommend this game for anyone who is thinking outside the box. I love the wii in general for its developers creating different kind of interacting games, not just for you but the whole family. Deadly Creatures sets a new limit in the video gaming industry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Rental at Best Not your typical platformer here, but a change. This game could have been so much more. The graphics are pretty sweet considering it's a Wii title, but that alone won't do the game justice.' There is pretty much no storyline other than some dialog that has really nothing to do with anything. The ending is a huge let down, and the fact that it comes in about 3-5 playing time doesn't help the matter. The controls are pretty weak in that the stronger moves pretty much don't come in to play as much as your basic button mashing techniques. At times there was a bit of a problem with the camera screwing me over, and once you get the ability to wall on the ceiling....forget about it....the camera moves in every which way. All I have done here is complain, but oh well just go and rent this if you really want to be a spiderman, without the man...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mortal Kombat meets Discovery Channel This is like Mortal Kombat meets Discovery Channel. This game is very different than any other titles out there. it has potentiai. if they make more volumes of the game in the future like being a cobra or anaconda , cheetahs, lions etc etc. in different settings like jungles , the Arctic or even the city. like roaches , flies rats , dogs etc. that would be hot. they should even come out with an underwater sea deadly creatures. SHARKS !!! I first saw the video of this games and got hooked. couldn't wait for it to come out. even though i love animal brutal surviving shows on the Discovery Channel. the controls are a bit junky and the ambiance of the desert is horrible. NO DESERT AMBIANCE ENVIRONMENT SOUNDS. when you turn of the music its like being underwater.SILENT. the fighting scenes and controls are tight. very realistic. they even have FATALITIES !! which i though was an awesome add on to the game. The spider and scorpion i thought was awesome but they should have more creatures like , rattle snakes , fire ants , centipedes , killer bees etc. Billy Bob Thorton and Dennis Hopper added much flavor with a funny sick twist to it and a movie like feel to it. very very professional. i love those two in it. a great start off on a new gaming idea with DEADLY CREATURES. bring out more volumes with more creatures. I suggest you try it out first , you mite have mixed feelings about this one. but i like it. so my vote would be 8.0. great job guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome game This game is definitely worth trying for those who are thinking about trying this game or who enjoys this kind of game. The controls are excellent and the graphics are awesome. The shoreline is pretty good and the game is good enough for them to make another one or at least extending the ending. The excitement in this game is unlike another and the game lets you see through the eyes of the most deadliest creatures, The scorpion and the tarantula. Who are enemies in this game. The surrounding environment is unlike any other everything g in this game is larger than life to you. and the enemies or victims who try to stand in your way is history. you have full control of the creatures abilities, and possibilities. you have total control. of the worlds most deadliest creatures which is awesome. but over all it's an amazing game and good for every one.
