You are trap in a mall. You are boxed in buy zombie on all sides. What do you do? This game is the story of a journalist who has 72 hours to get the story and 3 days to survive. The clock is constintly counting down and you must solve case which real just invole you going somewhere to get something or save someone. There really isnt much varity. The fun you get from this game depends on how much you like smashing the living dead with different weapons. And there is a lot of weapons! About anything you can think of you can us to put the dead back down. The swinging of the wii-mote can get a little stupid but not enough so that it detracts away from the overall experince. The zombies are hard to get by some times when you are running around with somebody you have to save and that person runs right into the crowd of zombies. The surviors are almost as stupid as the dead. They have no idea whats going on they will run time and time again into zombies. Overall it is a good addicting game that is hard to just to play once.

As we all know, the original Dead Rising was an amazing game. It had story and game play mechanics the likes of which had not been seen before. So when Nintendo and Capcom decided to remake it on the wii as a way to make more money, things went sour. First off, they changed the 3 day timer, so instead of you being at the mercy of time, it now contoured to you, so you pretty much get as much time as you want. This removes the urgent feeling of getting to each scoop before it expires. Also, they removed the ability to take pictures, which was one of the best parts of the original. And if you used one of the many guns that you buy in the game, you will notice a simularity between the game and Resident Evil 4: Wii edition. They recycled the engine from that game and placed it in Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop, but Dead Rising isn't suppose to be a shooting game, it is a hack'n'slash. I could go into more detail, but I think I've said enough. Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop is, bottom line, a a horrible rehash of a master piece.
Rated 7 out of 10 by theforgottenking222 good game but not the greatest
let me start by saying this is 1 of the most easyest games ever releashed 4 the wii u can just walk right pass the zombies and they dont even do anything. i palyed the xbox 360 verison and i liked it even though the zombies didnt attack when u walked by the boss battles were challenging. so i thought the wii verison would be good to. it wasnet the worset game i ever played butit wasnet even close to the best game i ever played. the graphics arnt teerible but there nothing to brag about. its a pretty long game and can be frustaing at times (like when your surviver dies or when u dont no where 2 go). the storyline is what i dont like. If u played the 1st deadrising game (and sorry 2 ruin it if u didnt) the way the zombies got into the mall in the 1st place is that a retarded old lady just had to save her perfect dog (which i dont no how it got outside) but she tore down the barricade and opened the door (like an idiot) so i didnt like that. i wouldnt go right out and buy this game i would rent it 1st then if i liked it buy it but the choice is yours

well well well, Dead Rising for the wii. I have to admit this game was fun and difficult not to mention bloody, but all in all it is worth the cash you can adjust the blood settings brightness even for when the power is out and dress poor frank in a bikiini. Sure it's not what I expected, I rescued everyone. got my extented ending, and pulled everything off very easily. As for the zombies they are easily disposed of except for the ones that are introduced later in the game. they can take a beating if you lack a sword or ax. as for some downers some of my shots said they missed when i was aiming for heads but i hit my mark. length of the game. it took me two days to complete the game but it might take you longer i had too much free time. i still go back for disposing of the entire town. i think my kill count was atleast 15 thousand on my first run through. when the lights in the mall are off it makes your senses tingle because you may be attacked out of the blue. you dont have all the wepons in the 360 but what you do have is still fun to play with.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Sull3877 Kind of a let down, but still a good game!
This game may be a bit too easy, but its still fun! the controls are tough to get use too and the zombies die WAAAY to easy, for instance, hitting zombies with a baseball bat is a one hit kill, but shooting them down with a pistol, shotgun, ext, just destroys your ammo...plus, they took scenes from the 360 and just slapped them onto this game and lowered the graphics a little. BUT, this is really not a bad game! if you play it long enough, you just might fall in love with it! plus, i dont really suggest this game for first time players of dead rising seeing how there are 2 new annoying enemies: What appears to be a Parrot and a Harmless yet deadly looking Poodle..(Sad aint it?) like i said, the game is also confusing seeing how you have a camera..but you cant use it..Odd isnt it?anyways, this really isnt a bad game is you just bought a wii or something..i really recommend you RENT IT before buying
Rated 8 out of 10 by Frehley good game for wii
I got this game about a month ago as I was looking for a zombie game to play on wii.It is alot of fun sometimes it does get fustraiting and the zombie parrots and poodles are majorly annoying. You have to go through a mall saving people and fighting zombies as well as bosses. There are several chapters in the game about 7 I think. Zombies are easy to kill but they will come back to life also even if you do head shots they will regenerate but sometimes not a bad thing as you get points for the more zombies you kill and you also get things like books ect. and money as well as leveling up. The graphic's are good it does get repetative sometimes like repeatedly going back and forth through the mall in certain areas not a bad thing really but sometimes gets boring. it does start out easy but does get hard as you go through the game. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has a wii.

If you were a fan of Dead Rising on the Xbox 360, you'll want to stay far away from this one. Essentially, for this remake, they took everything that was good about the original Dead Rising and chopped it into tiny pieces, hence the subtitle "Chop Til You Drop". The controls are cloned from Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, which would not be a bad thing if the other parts of this game weren't also a disgrace to Capcom and to the Dead Rising franchise. The "streamlined" menu function serves only to disrupt gameplay, and using anything other than a gun for a weeapon has become all but impossible. The motion controls are unresponsive, and the enemy quantity has been reduced to nil, even on the highest difficulty setting. Add to that the new animal zombie enemies, and it all comes out to the broken, disgraced shell of one of the best games out there today.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop follows the story of Frank West, a freelance photojournalist who heads to a small town in Colorado in hope of finding the scoop of a lifetime, later to find that the town has been over run by the un-dead. It is in the local shopping mall where you take refuge thinking your are safe until a dog loving old lady opens the gates of the mall trying to save her precious pooch but only gets herself and many others killed. Dead Rising's controls are mainly good except for the Z and A combo to open doors and grab items but you get use to this and it's not a problem. The gore and graphics for this game exceeded my expectations by far. The sound for this game I found better than the 360 original, though it could use a little tuning up. The length of this game dissapointed me due to the fact I beat it within a week but the entertainment of the game had me reaching for the controller to play through it again. Storyline is enriching and exciting and is full of twists and turns. All in all this is an excellent game. If you are a fan of killing zombies like theres no tomorrow then this game is absolutely a must for your collection.

Ok, I played the Demo on 360 live and didn't really get it, because they drop you off in a room with a bunch of zombies standing around outside. So, kill, right? Maybe the dem just needed to start out a different place, I don't know. But, I rented the Wii version and am currently having a lot of fun. Oh and for the guy complaining about motion controls? You don't really have to use any motion controls. To swing any weapon, you simply press the "a" button. If a Zombie grabs you, wave the wand a few times- that's it. Shooting and combat in general is simple and fun. The graphics? I they're fine and the characters move fluidly. the difference from 360 to wii, it just reminds me of when you reduce the sharpness on your hd tv to the point where you can tell it's no longer hd. You really won't notice after a few moments.

I wanted this game when it came out for the Xbox 360 but i didn't have a a 360. So when this game came out for the Wii I got my hopes up again. When I opened up the box and stuck the disc in I was greeted to a cheesy zombie flick more than anything else. It even had the cheesy dialogue. The zombies are very easy to kill and and don't even pose a challenge. They die from being smashed with a cardboard box once but take multiple shots from a gun. The controls are very restrictive as you must do everything standing still and the aiming is very touchy and unresponsive at times. The game allows you to kill with everything but only if its on the ground. If its on a shelf you can forget about using it. But there is something satisfying about ramming zombies with umbrellas . Any way maybe a rent but don't buy.
