D.D.R. = lots of fun!
First of all, I just want to say this: I am new to Dancedancerevolution games. Honestly, I had just wanted a fun game and D.D.R. looked like a lot of fun so I picked it up. I was SUPER happy with it. I love that there are so many choices for basic gameply. I had just assumed that the mat would be used at all times during gameplay, but I was delighted to find that there were, in fact, three different ways to play. First of all, there's classic, which is the mode where you just hit the arrows on the mat with your feet. Then there's "cherograph" mode, in which you dance with the mat and wave around the nunchuck and wii remote in various ways. The last mode, one I just recently discovered, is the wii balence board mode, in which you basically just swing your hips in time to the music and move your arms a little bit. The songs are great too. There is a song for everyone; the variety is great. Although personally, I do think some of the songs are annoying as they usaully are guaranteed to give me a headache. This game has certainly brought me a lot of enjoyment; me and my sister both. It's great to play with friends or family, or by yourself. I am now totally obbsessed with D.D.R. =)
Better Than Ever Yet to Come
Out of all the games I anxiously wait for, this one is the one I have never been THIS excited for. I was hooked on DDR at a very young age, and I still play it up to this day. The only thing I'm worried about are the Miis you could play as in the last two DDRHP games (there were no Miis in the first one). I hope you can still play as Miis in this DDR; it would break my heart to see them go away. I always thought playing as your Mii is like placing yourself in the action. I want to keep that feeling going as I play. Basically, I'm so excited for this game, and everything we get to see in it! =)
This is the first DDR I have ever played and I was instantly hooked. The first day I had it I played for 3 hours. The music tracks are pretty good (excluding maybe two) to dance to. The game is easy to learn, but difficult to master providing a nice challenge. It also works great as an aerobic exercise that compliments my regular gym workout. If you want an addictive and active game buy this!!
So addicting, great fun, and it gets you moving
I just got this and I LOVE it! I played for an hour and a half before I was too tired to go on. You get to get your arms involved instead of it just concentrating on your legs. It's addicting to keep trying to unlock new content. $70 for a video game that gets your heart pumping vs several thousand dollars in exercise equipment or gym memberships. I love it!
Ha, I actually like this DDR.
So i literally got this yesterday and haven't got the time to play it today.
First things first, i've been a DDR fan and i really like this DDR.
The choreography mode (The mode where you use the wii mote &+ nunchuck) is actually fun to play. I thought that it was going to be dumb at first but it actually is fun.
And as always, the classic "Mat" comes back & it's just like the original gameplay of the DDR series.
I played for straight 3 hours today and i was sweating. :D
Any DDR fan should get this.
A Dream Come True!!!
For Konami, 11 years has really paid off! I dreamed this day would come for them, and I'm so proud for their effort to put into this game. I can't wait to play this game! It's got everything I wanted in a DDR game (personally, I like the Mii support feature in it! Yay!) ! If you're a DDR fan like me, you'll love this game and everything it has to offer!! =)
Konami finally got
To be totally honest, this is the first Wii DDR I ever liked. The hottest dance party seemed as if Ninteno forced Konami to use the Wii remote. I hate using the Wii remote when I am dancing because it usually is too easy, too much motion and not enough DDR which was true of all Hottest Dance Party games. This one finally gives the user a choice. Needless to say I have yet to use the choreograph mode because I am a true fan of DDR. I bought super Mario DDR and the madcatz dance games which were both good but this game takes the cake. Konami we want more dance games that are simply DDR! Stop ripping us off for nintendo's sake. Thank you Konami for finally looking at the pathetic sales of your lamest dance series and giving us Wii users something to brag about!
w00t for DDR :D
omg omg OMG!!! I've been waiting for a long time for a new DDR game! And I love the Choreograph Mode, I know I'll have fun with that...Of course I'm gonna need to get wiimotion plus just to play it...Heck I think I'll stay away from the Free Play mode and play the Choeograph Mode from now on!!
Mat + wiimote + DDR = FUN (but not so fun)
as the title says, the game should be FUN but its not so good. It is more realistic but you end up getting dizzy with arrows and signals in the screen. Overall, its pretty ok but not so OK.
This game is very irritating. You can wave your arms around and get points. You can select the arrows on the Wiimote and get points. You use the game pad, no points. No matter where I step, the only square that works is the A square and this is a brand new game. I traded in two games for it, but it's going back. It is not a challenge at all if all if you can sit on the couch and wave your arms around. Waste of time and if I didn't trade to get it, waste of money too!!
