Best Game Ever!
I love this game. It is so much fun. the graphics are good, but the only thing i dont like is that the game is very quick and mostly everthing is timed. So, this is a really good game.
This game ROCKS!
This game is very fun. It can be just a tiny bit scary to young kids (A trantula crawls after you). This game can be just a little hard in some spots too. The length of the game is really short. It took me about 3 hours to complete it. Overall, this game ROCKS!!!!!!
A Normal Movie Game!...uh oh
I can't believe people buy this.. it's just...let me put it this way, it's as good as those CSI Series. The movie was pretty good but don't play the game, the graphics are as good as that Darkest of Days game, it has no challenge, and the controls aren't helping. Even for a movie game this is one of the worst out there. I give Coraline the game, a 1 out of 10.
I have heard ALOT of bad reviews about this game, but I find it's awesome! The sound or glitch problems are probably caused by old TV's,mostly. But my new flatscreen panasonic TV hit the right spot. The graphics are terrific, and the voices are performed by the REAL actors of the movie! The sound is very pleasant, and I think the minigames are easy, but only if you have good hand-eye cordination and a fast hand.I loved the movie so much, but I do not recommend buying this for ages 5 and under. At first,it's fine, and Coraline explores her house and is asked to perform tasks by her neighbours, but when it gets to the end of the perfect other world,There are some really creepy stuff. But overall,it's a big "THUMBS UP" for me.I want to say that fans of the movie should buy this game!
My 6-year-old daughter got bored with this game in about 30 minutes. And, don't let her age fool you -- she's an avid gamer. :) From what I've seen, I wasn't impressed. The graphics were pixelated (what you'd expect from a Wii game). It looks noticeably bad on my large high definition television. The background music was monotonous and the dialog seemed unnatural. It seemed like a lot of pointless walking around, and my daughter got frustrated with some of the timed quests which forced you to repeat them over and over again if you run out of time. The story followed the movies plot line pretty close which is one thing positive I can say about it. In summary, it was a big disappointment. It's maybe worth a rental, but don't buy it. It was an excellent movie, by the way.
The game itself is fun. The mini-games can border on mundane, but it's still all right. The game is cute, the graphics are pretty awesome, and the controls are easy to get a hold of. The sound, however, is EXTREMELY glitchy. Words are often repeated, cut off, or left out entirely, and the music often skips or stops. Along with this, the game itself seems to freeze up a bit as well. I haven't, however, had any true crashes yet. The game doesn't take full advantage of the Wii Mote, seeing as you can use it to perform some actions (sweep up the floor or draw on a photo by waving the wands, for example) but you DON'T use it to aim and shoot your slingshot, which I found a little bizarre. It seems to me like there was either a rush to get the game out at the same time as the movie, or someone was incredibly lazy with the game testing. All in all, it's a fun game to pass the time; cute imagery, good story, and a lot of mini-games to play if you're into that sort of thing. The terribly glitchy sound is, however, really annoying at times. I have also heard it is a little short, although I haven't gotten far enough to comment on that. I'm enjoying it for what it's worth, although I do wish I had waited to find it used so that I could have saved myself the full cost.
