I thought it was good
Cooking Mama Cook Off was a pretty fun game to play. From all the different and exotic recipes to choose from to the preparation of each dish,it all was fun to play. The gameplay was very cool, the graphics arent great, the sound can get annoying, and Cooking Mama is very replayable. Basically, the point of the game is to cook the food.If you cook the food up to mamas expectations, you unlock a new dish.Very simple.Even though it was simple,it still was very creative. My favorite part of the game was the food. You can cook anything from your normal hot dog and cheeseburger, but you can also cook exotic food like japenese sushi and asain curry.I like that they took different cultures of foods and put it into a kids game.So all and all,I think Cooking Mama earned a well-deserved 8 out of 10.I thought it was good!!

So So...
I bought this game yesterday, and have been playing it on and off. It has been a good game so far. There are a few pros and cons I will review.
Pros:
Animation/ graphics: So, if cute anime style appeals to you when it comes to art, you'll love this. The graphics, in my opinion, are spectacular. The clash of realism, with cute really sets the mood when playing this type of game. The food isn't cartoon like the other graphics, setting a serious example. If the food had been cartoon like, it wouldn't set a good example on how to cook. The anime graphics of everything else is a relief from realism. Now, animation; the animation is semi-perfect, but nothing can be perfect can it?
Sound/ music:
The sizzle of cooking a nice, juicy piece of fish, or the clashing noise when the wooden spoon scrapes up against a plastic bowl are just two examples of how well the sound effects are in the game. The sizzle sounds like a sizzle, the clashing, scraping noise sounds like a clashing, scraping noise.
The music, it fits the games adorable, likable graphics. It might seem to be repetitive at times, but you get used to it. Without that music, you wouldn't be in the mood to cook, would you?!
Controls:
The controls act like the utensils you use while learning to cook. The movements are spot on, and you feel like you're actually cooking! Need I say more?
Learning:
This game does help you learn about different foods, different cultures, and how to cook! I've already learned a lot by playing!
Cons:
Controlling:
When you're cooking, the controls can be tough to deal with. In a tournament to win against the other, you can not have any mess ups. What happened with me was that whenever I try to mix something, it never recognizes how fast I'm working, or it skips and won't mix. I can tell you that the controlling is very difficult.
Game play:
The game play can get tiring. Like some other cooking Mama's, they have fun mini games to play if you mess up, but not on this one...you get the grouchy Mama, with her fire flaming eyes, telling you to try harder! Plus, it's supposed to be a competitive game, and without a friend to play with, it gets a little boring; like Super Mario parties.
Attention:
You need patience to play this game.
I give this game an overall rating of 7.5.

AWFUL!
I am pretty good about games, I can play anything but this was TERRIBLE! My kids even hated it with a passion. We immediately traded it in and go something like Bass Fishing that was way more entertaining.

An OK Game
This game doesn't really teach you anything, but it gets you competitive toward other people if you play it with someone else. Its not fun if you play it by yourself, but if you play it with another person its pretty fun. Its kinda hard to control, especially when you do the cracking eggs step, other than that its ok. I think there are a lot of better games than this for the same or lower price, so unless you can't find a better game, for the same or lower price, then you should buy this one.

Could These Teach Us Something?
Cooking mama cook off is all about making food from all around the world. Including India, Spain, France, USA, Japan, and Italy. The sound and music of this game is ok I guess. You never heard these sounds and they are all random. The realism of this game is not awful but regular, just plain. There is no interface for this game I think because all you do is making recipes. The controls of this game is not comforting. When you are being timed you have to finish the recipe as fast as you can. And when you are rushing to finish the recipe sometimes the wii doesn't respond and you get fustrated and then the time runs out. And finally the graphics is clear, cartoonic, and kind of like 20 steps from perfect. When I play this I have to be so close to the sensor bar because that is how it responds. Also I don't know if these are actually real recipes but why wouldn't they? If you want to know how to make food from the world and if you don't have a cook book you could actually use this. So if you want to know how to cook foods step by-step then I suggest you play this.

Good for a moment.....
This game is fun for just an hour and I mean just an hour. Its not all that fun becasue the person that suppose to be your mama is always disclaiming you if you mess up. Thats not good parenting , now is it. The controls aren't all that bad but they are something that you will have to get used to. They are annoying if you are used to games that do everything for you. But i guess they are ok but not great in any way. You'll love this game for the realism and the technique that you will have to put into it. If your'e not a good cook than you won't have fun playing this game but it's interesting how realistic this game can be. When you scramble eggs they actually use real ingredients and actual timings and it'll pull you in the game so easily. But, it's still sorta difficult if you neva played. The graphics are just plain disgusting and not interesting at all. The graphics are barely worked into and lame as it can be. And lastly and overall this game is just gay but not to gay. It's fun for the time being and thats it. So yeah if your looking for a game that's fun for just a moment buy Cooking Mama:Cook Off!

Don't Waste Your Money!
Before buying this game, I checked the online reviews, and many of them said this was the best two player cooking game. Because of this, and the appeal of "Cooking Mama", I bought the game. It's supposed to have an awesome two-player mode, but I honestly don't think it does, at all. The whole two-player mode is like a tutorial, and you get directions in everything that you do. I wouldn't mind having the tutorial at the beginning, in order to learn how to perform each task, but there should be an option as to whether or not you'd like to do these things without constant directions. The game is also very repetitious, I found myself repeating the same tasks over and over again, even when making the different dishes available. I also didn't like the fact that this isn't like the other cooking games I've played, meaning that I've played games before where you get customers and you're supposed to cook what they order, this game isn't like that, at least in the two-player mode. Basically, there's a menu and you can pick from a list of about 20 different foods, that's why it quickly got boring. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, unless you were buying this for a small child. I'd say, don't waste your time or money.

Cooking Mama: Cook Off AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
I love cooking mama: cook off! It is the best game I've ever played. Sometimes you get a little frustrated but once you get it right you feel great! The graphics are wonderful and cooking mama acts like a real mother. You mess up she gets mad you get it right she complaments you! If you like cooking mama for DS you'll LOVE this cooking mama. You can make about 300 recipes from about 10 different places! It is the best wii game ever. When ever my friends come they beg to play it then when they have to leave they beg to stay. Sometimes when I go to there house I can hear them begging for their parents to get it. Even if they don't have a wii! If I were you I'd buy it mostly if you like the DS version but if you hate cooking and cartoon mothers don't buy it. I love cooking mama very much. It is the best wii game in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful but very annoying sometimes
CMCO is a very good game. I myself love shooting games, but my favorite hobby is cooking stuff. And I was very amazed. I heard very bad things about it. But it isn't bad at all it is my favorite wii game so far. Chopping is so real. I played this a LOT on multiplayer. It's really so much fun no matter what. I love how it has some good recipes in it. Like Ratouille and Cream Puffs its so fun. It's hard and easy and sometimes just downright funny. It is so good on the 2 player mode. I love cooking so much I cooked this Thanksgiving. It's better playing this than really cooking. It makes me happy just looking at the box. It has good mini games like preparing fish. Either way I love it better than any game i've played on the wii. It really cooks up a BIG appetite.

Worth $**
Totally. Some of the actions may be hard but very fun. I think it does not get boring even after an hour! Cooking Mama for DS is way easier in my opinion. But if you think the DS versions are very super hard then don't buy it or you'll think it was just a waste of money. Another thing I like about this game is that it helps you use the Wii remote in ways you didn't know. Also is you get angry sometimes about doing stuff again and again this is a no no. By the way if your one of those people who don't have nunchucks with your controller it doesn't matter because you don't need one! Finally, a game with-out a nunchuck it is hard for me to find one these days! So if you like both or one of the DS Cooking Mamas then totally get this. If not and you think they were really hard you might not want to buy it.
