Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 with Gun
This game is a HIT!!!
This game is the BOMB!! Never mind that the graphics are great. There are sounds that actually place you in the hunt. Never mind the traditional hunt itself. There is a shooting gallery mode that is just great. There are thirteen different events, birds, ducks, geese, rabbits, mountain lions, bears and leopards, I think? This FPS game is my very first and I’ve been looking for something for the WII system. WII night at my home is dominated by screens ten, eleven and thirteen. I truly believe that this is the best game ever for WII. On these three screens the animals are actually trying to kill and eat you. So firing the shot gun at them is very realistic and you will at times find yourself in the game. People actually jump from and scream at the screen. It’s designed for four players to compete; we’re trying to figure out if all four can shoot at the same time. The shotgun is light and the trigger control is in the correct spot; unlike the zapper. Be sure to turn the volume way up. GREAT GAME!!!!
One of the best shooting games for the Wii
When I first got Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 with gun, I thought it wouldn't be as nearly good as other shooting games like Modern Warfare Reflex. Well I was wrong! Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 turned out to be a really great game! The graphics were really amazing for the Wii. Everything in the game looked really realistic and colorful. The challenge was great too! You have to see if you can hunt animals without them noticing you in places with rarely any cover such as a desert, and even defend yourself against dangerous predators such as nasty brown bears! The sound's in the game were great too, they are indeed real animal calls. There is also a great variety of hunting weapons that include many rifles (such as the Remington), a crossbow, shotgun, and a magnum pistol. The maps are huge! You travel all around the world from forests to deserts, and hunt animals and hope you won't get lost; and when I mean big maps I really do mean big maps. You'll have to see for yourself. The camera functions most likely work well. The only reason I rated it a 7 is sometimes when you are scoping in on animal, the camera is supposed to zoom in so you can see the animal's critical hit areas (such as the heart and lungs). However sometimes it does not work which makes it harder to kill animals. The statistics of the game are also good such as everything else, you have to get high scores to earn medals in the game such as killing a deer from a certain cover spot and in the heart to get enough points to earn that medal. The multiplayer was fun too, except I thought it could be better. You have to take turns hunting animals for a certain amount of time in a mini-game and whoever gets the highest score wins. However I thought it would be more fun if there was a way where you can do something like co-op hunting with gameplay that's like the singleplayer. However, overall I would give this game a definite 10 out of 10 and I can't wait to buy next year's version!
Awesome Hunting Game!!!
I usually make pretty long reviews. This one will be short. Why? Because I already reviewed this game for the XBox 360, and it is pretty much the same thing. SO AFTER READING THIS REVIEW, LOOK AT MY REVIEW FOR THE 360 VERSION FOR MORE. the controls are pretty good. You can use the Wii Zapper (I hate that thing), but I perfer the Top Shot the game comes with. It feels as if you are actually hunting. I think it is the best gun perhiperal for Wii (I even used it for Black Ops and it worked great). Anyways, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the 360 version, which is good because it was great and pretty realistic. The graphics are good, but going from the amazing realistic graphics on the 360 version to the Wii vesion does feel kind of upsetting. But besides that it is the same game, and the gameplay with the Top Shot perhiperal it comes with makes up for the only alright graphics. It has the shooting gallery from the 360 version, but unlike it, you can have up to 4 players shooting in the gallery at once, which makes the gallery mode actually worth playing. That is one big advantage to the Wii version. Is this game better then the 360 version: No. Is it worse then the 360 version: No. Should you get it for 360 or Wii. It is whatever you want it for. NOW before you forget, go check my 360 version of the game review for a more in debth review.
Overrated? I think so.
Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 was one of my most wanted games, but once I bought it and played the first level, I was saddened to see how short it was. I was returning to the series from 2005. And the two are nothing alike. The visuals were great, the many environments is a great part of this game! The other thing that made me angry was that there was NO story ending to the game, its like the creators forgot it! In the beginning, the main character (you) is trying to get into a professional Hunting Club, and he gets help from a basically an agent, but once you beat the last level of the game, it just goes straight to credits, as if you gained nothing. You don't feel the joy of beating a game on this. The multi-player is good but you don't hunt together, the shotgun minigames are like playing Duck Hunt again with your NES The game is also major easy, if you activate the "Hunter's Sense" you see a waypoint, and it tells you where to go and where the animals are, so your booming through the game very easily. To sum it up, I have to say that this game I think was aimed for a new crowd due to its difficulty level and it didn't live up to my expectations
Many of the other cabelas games have been the same but when i got this game i was amazed by the amount on new animals and terrain settings. last years game was terrible the grafics sucked and the game was short. the gun on this game is durrable and lightweight it has a good responsive trigger and is just like the arcade gun. You can also use the gun for games like resident evil and COD. I got this game because of the gun because i thought it would be crap but turned out to be one of the better games for the wii. the game is quite challenging and will take a long time to beat so its good for hardcore gamers or just casual layed back gammes.I got the wii for my family and didnt like it but this made me a proud owner of a wii. Hope my reveiw helped, Thanks.
this game is very good. gun is excelent. graphics are preety good. game play is very fun but can become a little frustrating if you keep scaring the animals. also the guns are way overpowered i shot a kate buffalo with a magnum it died with one shot not good gun selection either. sum levels are more challenging than others but very good game WORTH WHAT I PAID FOR IT $50 GET THE GAME
This game is great. Although i dont care about sounds as long as it sounds like a gun it was pretty good but the dumest thing was that you have a limited hard scope time. For example i had a perfect heart shot set up but then my hard scope shot time ran out i was cursing and screaming bloddy murder,BUT over all great and beautiful game.
well worth 20 bucks
this game is ok the graphics look nothing like the screen shots and you have to stay on a set path while hunting and a guide points you in the right direction which is great for kids but not adults. the mini games are fun like duck and rabbit shooting. well worth 20$ but no more than that . oh the gun is great and fells natural.
A fun, intense game.
This game is like the best shooter ever(not compared to Black Ops)! You actually fell that you are the one out there hunting because of the new Top Shot attachment. You really get the fell of the shot gun and you can listen and track the animals with a lot of animal signs. If you are a pro hunter, I recommend this game to you.
Cool! and gun works great but needs more guns and over way to quickly.
