A must-have Wii game for Summer 2008 is on its way! BOOM BLOX, the first game developed in collaboration between EA and director and producer, Steven Spielberg, is a high-energy game featuring over three hundred levels, a variety of activities, a cast of over thirty wacky characters, and an easy-to-use in-game editor that allows players to express their creativity. BOOM BLOX will be available in May 2008 for the Wii from Nintendo.

Fun for kids and the entire family, BOOM BLOX offers action-packed interactive activities that takes Wii play to a new level of creativity and fun with single player, co-op, and versus gameplay. Explore the visceral gameplay - perfectly suited for the Wii's interactivity - that keeps you destroying your way through brain-twisting challenges. Interact with entertaining characters such as the Blox-laying chickens or the baseball throwing monkeys, who bring personality to the Tiki, Medieval, Frontier, and Haunted themed environments. Additionally, remix any level of the game in Create Mode using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game. You can virtually build anything you can dream up. Plus, your designs can then be shared with friends or used to challenge others to solve your newly created puzzle via WiiConnect24.

  • Over 300 Brain-Busting Challenges
  • Fast-paced Multiplayer Action - Play with or against your friends in co-op, versus, or 4-player games.
  • Make It Your Own - Unlock characters, worlds, blocks, and props throughout the game and use to build whatever you can imagine in Create Mode. Remix any level and share what you create with friends via WiiConnect24.
  • Over 30 Wacky Blox Characters - Tackle the action and interact with a cast of entertaining characters including animals like a chicken that lays bomb blocks and a beaver that likes to make them explode.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the $4 While I can't speak on how great this game would have been at $50, $35, or even $20, I can speak on how good it is at $3.50 (which is how I much I paid for it during the 50% off sale). Even then it's worth it at the "full" $7 for a Pre-Owned copy. Fun game, easy to pick up. Definitely has that "one more level" addiction-type quality to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So simple, so sublime The central concept of this game is simplicity: you throw a ball at a pile of bricks and they fall down. But it is SO difficult on so many levels that it is far more entertaining and engaging than you could possibly think. The physics involved can be equally frustrating and enthralling, and therein lies the high replayability of the game: small changes in positioning your throw can lead to huge differences in how the bricks fall. It is easy to get lost in the game as it moves quickly and there is unbelievably lots of diversity in the levels and in the blocks. Just because one angle of attack works on one level does not mean it will work the same on the next. And for multiplayer it is a joy, as you can watch your laboriously setup work exploited by your opponent (or even watch them destroy an entire level in a lucky toss that you'll try to duplicate for the next few weeks!). The time of Wii-dominance is clearly over, and much has been made of how it lost the console battle for hardcore gamers (whatever that means), but this title is a lasting addition to the creative gaming world and deserves a place in the console in any household. When friends ask me why I own a Wii ... this is the game I show them: entertaining, challenging, and social, it is simply one of the most fun games I've ever played.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fun for a rent at best I originally played this game over my friends house and liked it do i went to gamestop to get it. When i got it i found out that it basically has the same exact gameplay the whole game. Sure it is fun to destroy blocks but it is so similar to jenga and there are so many more better games for the money IF YOU ARE OBSESSED WITH JENGA THAN THIS GAME IS FOR YOU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for all ages! This game is a lot of fun. I love playing this game with groups of friend or even relatives. I had older relatives from out of town visiting and they loved it just as much as my room mate who a a hardcore gamer (they beat him too!) If you want a game that has a reasonable amount of variety and and can be played by anyone this is your game. Don't expect to be dazzled by graphic, but a game like this is about game play not trying to dazzle your eyes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Think About It....... Now, most of you probably think this game is a gift from the gods, and some of you think it is a waste of space, I have to say that this game is at the EXACT middle. This game now has you throwing baseballs, bombs, marbles, and a bunch of other stuff at a very creative way of organized blocks. Each block can do it's own special thing, like purple swirl blocks vanish when hit, and when green chemical blocks make contact with another one, they explode. So this game always make you think about what you have to do before you throw, and you always want to think to, because this game has rules, where if you complete the objective in a certain amount of throws, or in a period of time, you will get a medal. And you HAVE to get a medal for every level, because if you don't you have to do the level again. Now, this game may be really easy to some people, and impossible for others, but this game does offer some fun multiplayer. So, if you want a fun destruction game to play with friends, give it a try. But, if you like to play alone, or online, think again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Play it with family and friends! It's a lighthearted game and it's really fun and addicting. I first played this game at my brother's house ( I had never heard of it). We wanted to play the wii so he suggested this game. There are several types of games involving the blox, and the little animals that stand on or around the blox were fun to hit and knock down; they make goofy noises. I would definitely recommend this game if you're gonna play with several other people. It can get competitive and it's fun to watch others attempt to knock down and pull blox. It's fun and can be amusing to play by yourself but it's definitely one of those games thats made for multiple play!
