Product Details:

BATTLE RAGE: THE ROBOT WARS the third person shooter with elements of a beat'em'up game that allows a player to control giant robots. Battles between the robots take place on carefully selected battlegrounds (so called "arenas") and they are short, quick, brutal skirmishes. The player can fight alone (versus one, two or even three opponents) or in a team against a common foe. Every robot has its own weapons (for melee and distance combat), additional weapon types can be collected on the arena. The player can modify a robot's parameters in the single player mode as well as in the multiplayer to fit its possibilities to his/her own fighting style. Also many new, powerful robots will wait for the player to unlock in the story mode. The Tournament has begun.

Features:

  • Single player and Multiplayer modes.
  • Arcade mode with a separate Storyline for each of the robots characters.
  • Robot Customization.
  • Compelling mechanics (Rage, Rush, Power Traingle).
  • Special Attacks (push, stun and other unique abilities for each robot).
  • Robots allowed to fight with 3 weapons at the same time (two ranged and one melee).
  • 8 different robots.
  • 20 weapons.
  • 10 arenas.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tried it and hated it I bought this for my son and I to play, good thing I bought it used. The packaging looked interesting, and the summary on the back of the box sounded like it would be fun, boy was I wrong. It loaded fine, but when we started playing, neither of could figure out who was who in the battle, and attempting to keep the camera still so you could see your opponent was nearly impossible. This would be a decent game if you could figure out how to work the camera angles, but we lost patience w/it and played something else after about 20mins. On the plus side, I was able to return it for a much better game that we both enjoy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Game Under no circumstances should anyone buy this game. The controls are awful with the mechs doing absolutely nothing you expect them to. As such, this game is simply unplayable. It's a waste of money at any price!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh. Terrible, the graphics were mediocre, maybe about gamecube equivelant, it didn't have a lasting appeal, the controls were horrible, and could the words go by any slower? The 'splosions and gun fire and chainsaws and all that sound stuff were good tho. I didn't get totally ripped off tho, because I got 007: QOS for free with it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An average game I bought this game for the sweet 15 dollar game sale! It was a little different because I really don't see much robot fighting games. This game is all about shooting and sharp blade slashing. The controls are very easy to get used to and the weapons and different robots are great. The only bad thing is the story line. It is basically an arcade where you beat several robots and win, then unlock a new robot and play arcade with it and beat arcade again to win a new robot. I beat this in about 2 hours. very very easy to kill another robot but i especially love the multiplayer! up to 4 players and 2 on 2 mode. you can also change it to 3 on 1. but it's great to have something different to play. so try it out and if you don't like it then just return it.
