Great cables, but i had some problems with them
I think these cables are very great because I noticed that the colors were less dull and more bright. I also notice that it made the games look a lot clearer than they were. Another thing I noticed is that the framerate was better also. But I ad some problems with it also. first off, when I put my system to 480p it looked a lot more jagged than it was. Another problem i had is that when I had the component cables in I noticed horizontal lines running through the backgrounds and other surfaces of my games that i was playing. I don't know if it's just my t.v., or if this is normal,or if this the cables that are doing it. But overall these are very great cbles that you should definitively get.

You need this, Trust me..
There is a visual difference between component and composite, with component the picture is more clear and the colors are more bright with less bleed out. I purchased these to record game play with my Happuage Pvr, and they work great! If you looking for better picture quality this is a must buy.
Remember to switch from 480i to 480p in wii settings, and set to 16:9 widescreen and you'll have a awesome picture.

A Must Buy
When people compare the main home consoles( Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3), one of the first things they say about the Wii is that it has terrible graphics. While these cables don't give the Wii HD quality, they make the Wii look A LOT nicer. These are a must buy for every Wii owner! The graphics look SO much better with these cables! While a game with bad graphics will still have bad graphics, these cables make even the worst game look better. The cables are kind of pricey, but they are well worth the price. I would reccoment these cables to every Wii owner!

No Compliants Yet
Super easy to hook up to my 32" insignia 1080p lcd led flat screen. Wish it was full HD though. But I like it. Put the wii settings to HDtv goes to 480p as I thought it would.
Dumb employee told me it would be 1080i.

This is a must have!! I am THX certified.
It helps the colors a LOT!!! But thats about it only a handful of games support 480p and its a shame because it looks a lot better with twice as many on screen pixels, But the games that do support 480p look much much better, For the price its still worth it but it would be much better if it was lower like 19.99 or even $10. I have noticed (on 480p games) there is almost no blur, distant objects look better and the detail is clean and for any game(480p and 480i) the color correction is better there is less of a colors blur and colors are brighter and deeper. But to get full color correction you need to calibrate your TV its simple let your set warm up for about 20 min. then put in a Pixar movie and go to THX optimizer and follow the on screen instructions and adjust your contrast, brightness, color then tint and right a way you will see a better picture because its the way the filmmakers intended (make sure vivid or dynamic mode is off because its way out of whack, Its trying to trick you into thinking its a better set with unrealistic bright color and blacks turned down so low that in a game with a dark room will make it like you closed your eyes) so adjust your set then use the cables for the best possible picture wii can give. -I am a THX trained and certified calibrator and audio/acoustics engineer-

I'm glad I bought these cables!
These cables are very good! I don't know why people say they suck when they don't. I have 32 inch Sony HDTV and when I first bought the Wii I has very disappointed on how the resolution and graphics looked with the regular tv cables. I heard of the component cables and decided to buy them. Easy to install and cables are very thick so you don't have to worry about them breaking. I turned on the Wii and set the Resolution to 480p and begin to play Metroid Prime 3. Wow it made a big difference! Nothing was blurry anymore, the screen was brighter, and I was able to see everything a whole lot better! Even Zelda with Gamecube graphics was clearer, wii sports looked better, and so did Smash Bros. We all know that the Wii doesn't support full HD like 720p and above, but these cables will have a huge improvement on your HDTV. Overall I'm 100% satisfied!

Works well for the wii!!!!!
These cables do work very well. You do see the difference but not as much as an hdmi cable. If you want to see the difference just put the component cables and if you don't see it put the regular cables and see if you see the difference. Also the tv must be 30 inches or bigger to see the big difference, a smaller one may see it but not like a big tv. The colors are very vivid and contrast is higher. The sound quality is better than the AV cables. The tv must support 480p. One problem is that the games must support 480p for example super smash bros brawl or mario kart wii. There's a lot of games that support 480p. Games that don't support 480p can still be played. Remember to change the setting on the wii to HDTV or EDTV so that the color gets better. These cables are worth to buy I recommend people to buy it.

Just OK
I purchased these because my new HDTV doesn't have composite connections. I also wanted a Nintendo quality product, which this certainly is. These cables give you 480p vs. 480i and depending on the game, you can notice a slight difference. I would also say that for larger widescreen TVs, these cables will help give you a better picture. It seems that colors are more vivid and contrasts are better. Then again, that could also be a benefit of the HDTV itself. I'd like to see some Wii games in the future take better advantage of widescreen HDTV sets. But I guess graphics are not what the Wii is about anyway. Overall, for the price, it's hard to recommend over composite cables if those work for you. However, if you need component cables, they are certainly worth the quality and brand name.

Not as useful as you'd think
I got a Wii recent and I thought that a neccesary evil for the system would be to max out my resolution with the component cable, when in reality it really isnt enough of a noticible difference to spend the money. Save your money unless your a strickler for max settings. I honestly wish I had known that the difference would be as marginal as it was and Im hoping to save other consumers the same pitfall. This is also similar to the component hdmi cables for the xbox 360. The shades of shadowing are slightly better contrasted but the overall improvement is not as large as the different between s video and component cables. It really all depends on what kind of tv you have and how willing you are to spend the extra change to make the slight difference in the picture

Bought one... its crap.
I adjusted the screen for 480p after i hooked up the cable. Which at first I thought it was working. Then I put in a game and loaded it... on my TV it always tells me when a mode change happens. IT WENT BACK TO 480i. Don't buy this. It's a waste.
