Wii Afterglow Controller
The remote has been working greatly for about a month, but after that month bad things started happening. Random lights have went on without the wii being turned on, which wastes a lot of batteries. Then after my 7th battery change, it wouldn't even turn on. The lights wouldn't turn on. I made sure they were new batteries (I tested on a real wii remote), and still nothing. I can't play with anyone until I get another wii remote. So unless you have a backup, I do not recommend this controller.
malfunction after 3 days
all of my WII brand controllers work and sync fine even after having to reset/clear sync to do it again. however this After Glow controller stopped working after 3 days for no reason that i can think of. it was not dropped and moisture didn't get to it. I tried to sync and changed batteries and the only thing that happens is the 4 lights keep blinking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING!!!!
Cooler,cheaper,and just as good
The wii afterglow remote is really cool. The best things are the lights, the price, and it works just as good as the original wiimote if not better. The bad thing is since you can see all the wireing, its probably not as durable. But other than that, its amazing. It comes in 3 colors, blue, red, and green. The only reasons why I would pick an original wiimote is because 1.to match my wii and 2.to play hide and hunt on wii party.1 through 10,the wii afterglow wiimote definitely deserves a 10 in my opinion.Cooler, cheaper, and just as good.
I love the design and works just fine as the Wii Nintendo remotes. There are settings to adjust how much it glows etc, so depending how you want it is how much the battery will last.I do not like how most of the buttons are not easy to see and the - and + buttons are slightly rough to click on. The price is reasonable.Overall I love this product and it makes a great gift for a friend or yourself. I have all 3 but the red one is my favorite.
Awesome Remote and Nunchuk!
I saw the Afterglow remotes and nunchuks before I even had a Wii and thought they were cool looking. Then I got a Wii and bought the purple nunchuk. (Mainly because I wanted it but also because I was told the Wii with mario kart didn't have a nunchuk; which it did.) Not long after I found the pink remote to go with the nunchuk and so far I love them both! I was worried about battery power until I found the switches that change the light settings, either on, off or flashing with movement or vibration. I have had no trouble with the remote or nunchuk, they both work perfectly. However, I still think I'll get the purple remote to match the nunchuk. Pink is cool, but the lights are red, and that's the only thing that bugs me about the remote.
Wastes Battery fast if u buy this then dont buy the nunchuck cuz the nunchuck gives away super fast. I've had my remote for like a month and it doesn't work. the nunchuk on WIPEOUT the game it like wears the thing down. If u buy this remote make sure you buy the real nunchuk!!
Price is good. this controller is almost like the official Nintendo ones. Button are a little different and for the better, motion control is great, the lights on is have different setting so you can chose to turn them off if you want. batteries do not seem to last as long but that did not worry me. solid construction and easy to sync with your system. compatible with PDP or Nintendo nun chuck, as well as the classic or pro controllers. Great purchase.
Cool, but sync could be touched up
I love this controller. It is the best afterglow controller, the only downside is that the sync is a little off, but as long as you don't use this for a game that is extremely in need of perfect sync, this controller works fine. But I recommend keeping at least one regular controller just in case, but otherwise it is a lot of fun and I love it.
The controller looks really cool when its lit up but sucks to try and sync with the wii...i think i will stick with the REAL controllers
The Good the Bad the Wii-tarted
First off I'd like to say this is a fantastic product and is well built. Having it being see-through makes it much cooler than the plain old Wii remote or the Wii Wand. Coming in three colors of red, blue, and green made it hard for me to choose. I ended up getting green. The Good It fits well into your hand, it has a nice plasticy feel to it. It also shows the board inside making me feel more in touch with technology. They even moved the HOME button across from the POWER button, which in my opinion is ingenious! The Bad The designers had to make it different from the original Wii remote so they couldn't get sued. This is where I have a problem. the 1 & 2 buttons are diagonal rather than one on top of the other. This is where the trouble begins. If you mostly play games that only need the Wii remote (like I do) it tends to be a little difficult to learn to use. The Wii-tarted This again comes in with the 1 & 2 button design. I have already explained it once so no need to repeat myself. Then there is the + & - buttons. They are to the left and right of the A button, making it easier to hit the wrong button.
