Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper
I'm a big fan of the Dynasty Warriors series and Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper takes not only the Dynasty series but also the Samurai Warriors series and characters from other Koei series such as Ninja Gaiden and puts them together in a fight to save the human race from Orochi.
If you've played any of the Warriors games you know exactly what you're getting; you relive historic battles with officers and KO a ton of enemy soldiers along the way. My favorite game from the series was Dynasty Warriors 4 and in the nearly ten years since that game came out the action has gone through the roof. Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper is the Wii U version of Warriors Orochi 3. Hyper adds several new elements to the other versions of the game exclusive to Wii U. First there's Duel Mode. This is where players battle as three-man teams against enemies. Hyper also brings in two characters from Mosou Orochi 2 Special, Snennong and Momiji. The Wii U version can be played using the GamePad and the Wii U Pro Controller. The GamePad can serve as an extended map while using the Pro Controller. The game features Off-TV play so it can be played on the GamePad while the TV is being used for other purposes. Players also have the option of each having a full screen to play on, with one players playing exclusively on the GamePad while the other view the TV.
This game is great for experienced and novice players a like. The various combos your officers can perform are easy to learn and fun to execute! I've played with friends who are experts at the series and they love it! I've also played with friends who have never picked up a Warriors game in their life and after a few hacks and slashes were addicted to its gameplay and got sucked into the characters and their stories.
amazing launch title for the Wii U
I was very happy when I heard that this game was being ported to the Wii U since i love the warrior series. i was sad that after my brother's ps2 broke i couldn't play the second game anymore. since I am a nintendo gamer, i missed out on most of the warrior series. the soundtrack is fantastic. I have been playing this a lot more than my other new games that i got for christmas. I can understand why people say the gameplay is repettitive, but I find it addicting as well. there are so many characters to choose from so it won't be difficult finding three warriors that fit your playstyle. Personally my favorite character is Nuwa
Thanks for the updates but where is Wii U Content?
Great looking game, I'll give it that. The entire reason why I picked this up is to play dual player using the gamepad as a screen and the tv as a screen. Even with the system, it still does the annoying split screen jazz. The gameplay itself is childish. button mashing, really. Gets confusing in places and repetitive in gameplay itself. I'd rent before you buy.
