Super Smash Bros.
The best next generation console game.
Smash bros 4 is here. I am so hyped every trailer shown off for this game just makes the game look better and better and not owning the game right now just makes me want to explode. This game will be the game of the year and the fact that xbox and playstation fanboys want to call the wii u underpowered is just a bunch of baloney because those very same people who said the wii u is not next gen will up every night playing smash bros wii u. Finally Nintendo has a game that can not only stand up to next gen and attract the hardcore gamers like a magnet. Just watch the wii u will be a success this and Mario kart 8 will pull Nintendo out of the deep hole they are stuck in and who knows the wii u might just win the eighth gen console war as long as nintendo just keeps their heads up and keeps pulling out quality software the only title that their missing to ensure the wii u's success is super Mario galaxy 3, but just wait Nintendo knows what their doing they showcased that to us with the wii and watch them do it again to an even greater degree with the wii u. Xbox and Playstation get ready because you are about to get your but kicked. If you don't own a wii u by one you look like moron not buying one, "oh" and do yourself another favor and preorder this game.
Return of the King
After a long six-year wait, the newest entry to the Super Smash Bros. franchise is finally here! There is just way too much to discuss here: The Crazy and Master Orders, the updated Classic Mode, the new characters, the well-designed stages, new music, and the utilization of nearly ANY controller type! The GamePad, Pro Controller, 3DS, GameCube controller, Wii remote, Wii remote with the nunchuck, and the Wii Classic Controller. If you cannot find a controller scheme that suits you best, then you may have a problem. All of it is ridiculous. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the biggest and best nostalgia trip for any video game fanatic with Nintendo roots such as myself. Super Smash Bros will be the best place to duke it out for yeasr to come until Super Smash Bros 5. Highest Recommendations!
THEE Game to Get for Wii U
After Brawl, I had almost lost all hope for a good Smashing... Then this game came out. They got a new developer for this game and I must say it has made all the difference. They have added hundreds of new songs so the sound wont get boring. They have added LOTS of new characters (though Wii Fit Trainer and Villager really have no place in a game like this in my opinion). And guess what: Smash is FINALLY in HD. Stunning graphics. Nintendo has gone back to the best aspects of Smash. It plays a lot like Melee and the Original smash. I also feel the characters are a lot more balanced in this version; no few characters are more powerful than others. They have fixed MOST of the bugs with characters, and overall I think they did a good job making everyone more even. Also, it's awesome that you can customize your fighters.
Not to mention: 8 PLAYER SMASH?!? This is too much Nintendo. I think they are putting all their best cards on the table for this one. So, moral of the story is, if you have a Wii U and you DON'T have this game, then you aren't doing it right. The Wii U was made for 8 Player Smashing!!!
Great game but only if...
its a great game if you have the right controllers. playing with the wii or wii u gamepad is frustrating thus takes the joy out of the game. if you already own the wii u system and have at least two pro controllers then this is a must have game. if you are just purchasing the system and have gamecube controllers then you should hold off on buying the system until nintendo restocks the gamecube controller adapter. Why? because using the wii nunchucks or wii u gamepad are not really made for fighting games and purchasing a few pro controllers get VERY pricey. it has been a month and nintendo has yet to restock the controller adapters, clearly showing that they are more focused on existing customers and not on new customers like myself who has spent close to $400 on just the system and the smash bros game. there is no way i will be spending more money on a third place system, my primary is Xbox One and secondary is the PC.
Super smash bros for Wii u/3DS is shaping up to be the best and most innovative game in the entire series. The stages look amazing and seem to be the best in the series. from skyloft and wuhu island to mario galaxy and the fan favorites final destination and battlefield. the character roster looks to be the best. newcomers like greninja mega man and the villager from animal crossing are welcome additions. and old favorites like mario, kirby, link and others are welcomed back. Online will have 2 modes. for fun mode is just a standard game with different stages, items and only your wins are recorded . For glory is final destination only, no items and 1v1 matches can happen. Another cool thing about the stages is that each stage has a final destination form with no obstacles, so if you play for glory mode all the time you don't have to see the same background or hear the same music. so overall smash bros for wii u looks amazing and is set to be released this winter.
Good Game, But One Problem
I just purchased this game and when I first turned it on, I went straight to single player. Then I noticed something was missing-Adventure Mode. The mode one could play on Brawl with a friend for hours and it was awesome(Subspace). I was so dissapointed along with my friends who were anxious to play it. I heard hackers got ahold of the early clips and posted them online. So Nintendo decided to be childish and scrap the whole adventure mode altoghether, which everyone agrees was a huge mistake. So basically for single player mode, you just play classic mode and brawl online and thats pretty much it other than little things like home run contest. Same characters that were in brawl are all mostly here with most of the same moves. Still, overall it's a great and fun game, just wish they would've added a fun and unique adventure mode like Brawl had.
Not the Best Entry in the Series
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the latest in the Super Smash Bros. Series. The problem is that it's not very super. The graphics have improved little over the previous entry despite being several years newer and on a new console, many modes that were present in older versions were removed or replaced with lesser modes, and the large cast of characters that the game claims to have consists of several recolors that Nintendo considers to be separate characters. Fan favorites have been removed, while guest characters from third-party companies make up a sizable portion of the roster. Characters have more distinct weight classes than in older games, and you can expect to be defeated at lower damage percentages than before, resulting in quicker battles. Super Smash Bros. has become more of a party game, with a lot of focus being put on the new Smash Tour mode, as well as the new 8-Player feature. While it will be interesting for any Nintendo fan to experience the new modes, any hardcore players or longtime fans of the series may feel like they are being misled by Nintendo.
An Excellent Game for Young Gamers
Have you ever played a fighter game? Well, if you haven't yet, I highly recommend starting out with this game. The graphics look better than ever at full HD (1080p). The default control scheme uses the GamePad, but if you're unsatisfied with that, there are tons of others for use; such as the Wii Remote, Classic Controller, and even the Nintendo 3DS! If I had to choose which part of the game I most enjoyed, I would choose the 8-player Smash mode. There is a ton of madness to be had! If you're having a party, 8-player smash is the way to go. I wish that there was a better party mode than Smash Tour, but I still really enjoy this game. Go out and give this game a try. I bet that you will like it!
Good, but I prefer the 3ds version and Brawl
As a game, I highly recommend this for any smash/nintendo fan in general. Has a few little flaws here and there (this really annoying bug where the Lloid Rocket sometimes phases through players without exploding) and Smash Tour is the worst gamemode ever made (it's nothing but luck and inconsistent AI spamming the Tingle trophy.) My personal mains are: Villager (Pink), Mr. Game and Watch, and King Dedede while sometimes playing Wii Fit Trainer, Luigi, Duck Hunt, and Ganondorf.
I Never Get Tired Of Playing This Game!
The new addition to the Super Smash Bros. franchise has finally arrived after six years. I have to say that Nintendo has outdone themselves with this game. Each different area of gameplay continues to blow my mind each time I play them. As far as the new characters, watch out when I am Mega Man! My only concern to this game is very small, its that some of the characters smashes are the same as others such as falco and fox or zelda and sheik even though they are the same person :). But overall this will continue to be my favorite game for a very long time.
