If you have another system or have already played Mass Effect elsewhere there is little reason to revisit it on WiiU.
This is just another example of a bare-bones over priced (at launch) port from EA. Most egregious is the fact the game comes with an 'interactive comic'. Why would you release the third installment of a series on a platform that never had the first two? The trilogy came out on PS3 a month or two prior and yet this singular game at launch was just as much as the entire trilogy elsewhere.
If you only own a WiiU it might be worth checking out or at the very least a rental now that the price has dropped. But if you have another system or a PC; you are better off just getting the whole trilogy. WiiU owners deserve better treatment than this. You would be further ahead buying Bayonetta 2. At least that game comes with a copy of the first for the price of one game.

I had beat the original mass effect then played most of mass effect 2 before getting distracted. I knew I wanted to play ME 3 but wasnt sure how it would be on my Wii U. I rented the game but decided very quickly this was a must buy game. The comic in the beginning is nice for allowing those who are not familiar with the story to get caught up while also allowing experienced players to refresh and make their choices from the first 2 games which are not available on the Wii U (yet hopefully). The game pad plays its double role perfectly. When playing on tv screen the pad works as a rather large tactical map and allows 8 extra hot keys which is great when controlling your team. The game is more than playable on the game pad alone. Yes you dont have a map but the game still looks and plays amazing on the smaller screen. I am about 5 hours in so far and love the game. Multiplayer is very fun if not a bit long. Hopefully more people will buy this game and we can continue to save the universe on the Wii U.
Rated 9 out of 10 by SnipinSanta99 Fantastic Game A Great Wii U RPG
It is one of the only full-fledged RPGs on the Wii U. It is a brilliant game and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It plays well most of the time and it looks great. It comes with DLC right on the disc and has a interactive comic at the beginning to cover the first two games. Aside from an ending that could have been better, it is still a great game that will give you 30+ hours of entertainment.

The date on this game is abnormally early from the wii u launch date. I understand that EA has done this before but it's just shy of 2 weeks early and that is very strange. I am curious as to why this is? If anyone could let me know I would get grateful. Besides that, I am pumped for this. The Wii U gamepad is going to fit very well with this game. Managing inventory in realtime is going to be sweet. I am so pumped for this whenever it comes out. Especially since I've played mass effect 2 fully and about 6 hours into the ps3 version of mass effect 3

I have only played the second, and now the third, Mass Effect games. Although I am really enjoying this game, it is it's integration of the gamepad that I really appreciate. The option to assign abilities and move squad members makes the gameplay experience far more rewarding. The designers of this game did an awesome job with the wii u hardware. Despite my frustrations with EA lately, they have created a quality experience with this game.
Rated 10 out of 10 by chriszmbe Absolutely great game!
If you havn't played ME before or even if you have beat all 3 on other platforms this is still a great buy. I have it on 360 and WiiU and both are almost identical except small detailing to a few things on the WiiU. The only con about this game is the voices are missing in most of the cutscenes which im sure will get patched by EA.

Finally an amazing tidal that comes out on all three platforms! Thank you to NIntendo, Sony, and Microsoft for finally collaborating and not splitting the ratio of good games so unevenly. I'm stoked to "take back earth" and enjoy the new Wii U simultaneously. Good hunting to all you space cadets out there

Mass Effect is one of the greatest game series' I have ever played. The immersive storyline, realistic characters, brilliant soundtrack, and fantastic graphics make this a truly incredible game, and the same goes for the rest of the series.

Half tempted to buy a WiiU just to get this game. I already have it for xbox but the idea of the gamepad being included in the gameplay bumps it up a bit. Sounds pretty good and it's a fun game to anyone who hasn't played it yet

Story line is great. Finition of the product is excellent (I haven't experienced one bug). Gameplay: excellent. I highly recommend this product. You have hours and hours of play game + you can play online. Great value.
