I'm so glad there making a physical version to this game. I like to collect my games, not have them all digital. For those who feel the same way should definitely purchase this game! It's only $5 more than the digital version. The game is a great remaster to one of the greatest platformers on the NES.
This game is awesome and controls really well. My only problem is near the end you will get frustrated with a lot of cheap deaths that will set you back hours.
Perfect Remastering of a Perfect Game
As a kid "Ducktales" for the NES was one of my favorite games...this being a remastered version of one of my favorite NES games, I had to get it!! In my opinion the classic will always be the best as it is more nostalgic to me.....but this game is such a great reimagining of the original that I can see myself coming back to this game many times for years to come. This game has great replay value as there are different difficulties and treasures to unlock with the money that you earn by playing through stages. I've heard alot of complaints that the cutscenes are drawn out....but I found the cutscenes to be awesome...and honestly if the cutscenes bother you, then you can skip past them. Some of the platforming can be a challenge, but the more you play through the better you will get at it (this game actually takes skill and precision at parts). The boss fights are beefed up versions of the originals and they are very fun. The music tracks for each stage are remastered and done very well, they sound excellent. Graphically, this game is as if you were literally playing a cartoon (if that makes any sense at all). Overall, if you were a fan of the original and on edge about this - GET THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!.......you will love it...... I personally bought this for the Wii-U as I didn't have much to play on the system yet, and owning a physical copy of this game is a must have for any collector. This game is really worth it if you are a fan of retro-styled platforming games (or just a big fan of the original). Thanks for reading, and I hope that my input has helped.
