amiibo in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

  • Tap the Toad amiibo to the Wii U GamePad controller for a special hide-and-seek challenge in each stage.
  • Watch as Pixel Toad runs into the level and search through the level to try to find him.
  • Tap other amiibo figures and receive 1-UP Mushrooms.
Features:
  • Equipped with nothing more than a neck scarf, backpack and oversized head lamp, Captain Toad finds hidden gems, coins and power-ups on his way to the gold star at the end of each tricky, trap-filled stage.
  • Captain Toad isn't particularly fast or strong. He can't jump and he has no super powers. But he knows that sometimes, it's all about wits and perspective.
  • Twist the camera to reveal hidden locations and other secrets. The Wii U GamePad offers a closer view of the dangers and hidden items in each maze, and its gyro controls can also be used to peer around.
  • Captain Toad's world is brimming with life, with dangerous enemies, tricky platforms, nasty traps and secrets to uncover. Each stage is its own puzzle to solve, and littered throughout are hidden items in hard-to-reach places. Can you help our tiny adventurer survive to find them all?
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for casual gamers Not a very good game, but it's fun for young kids. This is not nintendo at it's best, it's a bit of a cash-grab, but the puzzles are easy and fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but not the best This game is basically the same as the captain toad levels from 3d world, but courses like those make up the whole game. This game is quite enjoyable and casual, but it's nothing new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Puzzle Game This is a decent puzzle game from nintendo. I really liked that it featured captin toad and was challenging. I didn't like that it got boring very quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best puzzle game so far! I thought this would just be a stressful game when I got it for Christmas but it turned out to be an easy fun game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter and I had so much fun! We played together, trading off the controller and helping each other out as needed. This game is so well-designed, so ridiculously cute, and now Nintendo has yet another stellar game for every future console. I want DLC and sequels!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than I Expected It's a little more interesting than the levels you see in 3D World. You get a very nice fresh feeling when you play it. Specially if you are sick and tired of the incomplete and glitchy games that have being released in recent days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fantastic puzzle game This game is a wonderful spin off franchise for Nintendo. Captain Toad is an intriguing character, motivated by what seems to be greed, which is rather unlike a character from the Mario franchise. The puzzles are great fun and the art/graphics are charming. I love the attention to detail that Nintendo has put in, having Toad interact with his environment that make you want to play the levels over and over again. And the missions cater to completionists, making the player desire to collect all of the diamonds and the hidden treasure in each level. Is it a little more on the casual side of gaming, yes. But it is so much fun that even hardcore gamers will have fun with it. It's a game that both my wife and I can enjoy.
