This runs off a full version of Windows 8.1, a 64 GB Solid State Drive, and the newer version has an intel quad core. You will have to live with learning to work off of the cloud or with Mini-SD cards and Thumb-sticks but this isn't a gaming device. It's a home office/school tool. And it does it's job very well. I received it yesterday and have played around with it for a little over 8 hours. ASUS is a good company and hasn't let me down here. For the price of $200 I'll easily get my money's worth. It is smaller than imagined and should be handled with care as I've seen some horror stories in the refurbished section. I don't think it can handle drops or dings the way other laptops/tablets can. I don't intend to find out. I give it a 10 because despite some faults such as the mouse not responding to some touches this product is exactly what it has claimed it is and it comes with MS office included. This will be where I can make quick entries to quicken and make notes/lists that I can interact with on my phone & PC with ease. I can also use a full version of Excel on a tablet which is as of yet unheard of (why no one has made a decent spreadsheet app by now I will never know). I can see it acting as a standalone device if you have a printer with Bluetooth capabilities. Again, though, don't expect to be gaming... much... I DID just get Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition working off steam :) It did take a 3.0 capable USB drive and a less demanding game. All in all I have a workbook without the limitations of a tablet. Way to go ASUS! 10/10!

Great tablet/netbook for a really low price. Comes with full windows and a very durable feeling keyboard. Like the fact that it has a USB 3.0 as well. Worth the money and was on sale at the time I purchased it.

Bought this two weeks ago because my wife wanted something portable to take to work and that it was versatile. Too be honest it's has been working like a charm. She dropped using our old 15" HP in favor of using this full time. Since she just started working on her masters degree online the inclusion of a full year of office 365 was great for her needs.
Win 8 works great with the touchscreen, and since it's full windows and not RT, like many other products like it, installing desktop legacy apps hasn't been easier. The alternative of installing apps from the app store is a nice feature as well, that's what makes it using it as a tablet a breeze.. So far only installed a couple like Netflix and such and they've been nice so far. If you don't need a bigger screen than this device should do it for you. Sadly the only down side it's that it's no longer on sale. Got it for 50 bucks cheaper.
