I wasa huge fan of the original Tron back in the 80's. Imagine my utter disappointment when I got Tron: Evolution home and tried to play it without getting frustrated. I was hoping for, at the very least, a revamping of the old Tron game. Instead what Tron: Evolution offered was nothing even remotely close to that. The storyline was weak, if there's any storyline at all. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing in any of the game I tried to play. When it came to trying to figure out the object of them I never knew what I was going on in any part of the game my character was in. It was like I had the word "sucker" all over my face when I decided to pre-pay for the game before its release.
Rated 8 out of 10 by guillermoesmi Pretty good, but a challenge.
Overall, this is a really fun game. One problem with it, is that in order to progress and do well, you HAVE to unlock certain things from CLU and TRON. Take for example, the light tanks. You normally only have one turrent, but there is a double turrent that you can unlock by beating CLU. It took me a little while, but after you get it the light tanks get easier. It's also a pretty short game, which I was able to complete in about 3 days. And that was just picking it up here and there. But for little kids, this could get very irritating with the challenge level, so I probably wouldn't reccomend it to any of them.

I thought this game would be good but once I started playing it, I didn't really like it. The graphics are great but the gameplay is horrible. There's no story mode! It's all just mini games. I recommend this game to people who like mini games. I'd rather get this game for XBOX 360 when I get one. It has a story.

This game looks pretty sickkk! i will def be pre ordering it when it is available for preorder. I hope it is similar to the wii version at least and it would be sick if it was close to the 360 and ps3 versions. 1st person tron sounds promising.

Tro Evolution is one of the worst games i have ever played, First it doesn't have anything to be interested in. The light cycles are cool but everything esle is patheic.

Tron Evolution for the PSP is a title that will easily be overlooked but shouldn’t be if your looking for some portable TRON action on the go. The PSP version of Tron Evolution is different than the console versions but it’s still a good game on its own.
The game is essentially broken up into 4 mini games that include Light Cycles, Light Tanks, Disc Combat, and Recognizers. There are variations on the 4 types of mini games which includes races, death-matches, Light Tank zone control, a Recognizer on-rail shooter and platforming levels. All of this definitely keeps things fresh in terms of variety. The mini games can be tackled as you choose and each includes various unlockables for your character, Light Cycle and Light Tank.
There are various upgrades, color/circuit schemes, armors/helmets and classical/original TRON vehicle unlockables. During Light Cycle and Tank events there are typically 3 other combatants that will challenge you but occasionally one of the 3 will be either TRON or CLU themselves and they will surrender additional unlockables if you can beat them and come in first. But be warned: they are tough.
Speaking a little more on the difficulty of the game, I will say that it can be rather difficult at times. I'm a huge gamer and I've played hundreds of games in my lifetime so I definitely know my stuff. TRON Evolution for the PSP is tough for my seasoned skills and I can only imagine that its even more frustrating for kids and casual gamers. But fear not the game has a lot going for it and the above average difficulty takes nothing away from the experience.
As I mentioned earlier there is such a good variety of gameplay and the graphics, sound, and music are so good that the game easily justifies the $29.99 price tag, especially if your a PSP owner and a TRON fan. In the coming months when the game drops below $29 you really should pick it up. The game looks and feels just how a TRON game should on the PSP and its easily one of the best licensed movie games on the PSP for action fans.
