The King of All Fighting Games
In Tekken 6, you can play over 40 characters, including Jin Kazama, Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Marshall Law, and more. The graphics for Tekken 6 are pretty amazing, and you can also play as new characters such as Zafina, Bob, Lars, Alisa, and a few others. The Story Mode is different for each character because each fighter has a different story. The stages are really great and detailed, and if walls or floors get smashed, they lead into another fighting arena. In Tekken 6, you can customize the characters, like changing their shirts, pants, hair, armor, etc. If you like just simple fighting, you can choose Ghost Battle and play battle after battle with your favorite fighter. So, overall, if you're looking for a fighting game with great graphics and great stages, go over to GameStop and add this game to your collection.
i wud definitely reccomend this game to oyher people
this game was great but it could be better. For 1 the people you had to fight looked stupid and they couldve made them look a little different i mean it looked the same people kept walking around the corner. and the stoyline was ok but it sounded kinda dumb. the special moves were great. and i loved the graphics i mean i had the game on x box 360 but i felt that it was made for psp. so overall the game was awesome. i think the game wasnt much of a challenge because i beat it in a week. the controls were easy for me because i had this game on x box 360 so i already had a feel for it. the sound was well ok i mean i think it couldve been way better but thats my own opinion. interface well i dont really no much about that so im not going to say anything. i would reccomend this to you if youve had tekken 3,4, and 5 but if you are just starting the tekken series with this game i dont you should buy it.
My gift to you is a review with punctuation.
Okay, so we have the PSP port of what turned out to be an above average PS3/X360 game. The versions share the characters (including the Bloodline Rebellion characters who were once rumored to be absent) and the environments. Let's start with the positives. Tekken 6 PSP version has the excellent graphics that made Tekken Dark Resurrection so breathtaking. The controls, similarly, are smooth and responsive, and the new characters are fun to try out. There is extensive character customization, so thanks in addition to the impressive roster, the characters never get old. The load times are much shorter than in the console version, which was a relief to me when I started playing the game. The story is told by the traditional Tekken method, with an FMV at the end of each story. I'm not sure what more I can say other than that this game is FUN, though at times frustrating... ...And therefore we come to the negatives. Although some may appreciate the shorter story modes, the lack of interspersed cutscenes found in Tekken DR (due to the replacement of the 9 battles you needed to win in DR with an anticlimactic 4) makes playing through the story mode is less rewarding. I was a bit irritated that, for Lars and Alisa, their ending FMVs were just ripped off from the Scenario Campaign cutscenes in the console version. The game's boss, Azazel, is the most infuriating character I've ever had to fight in this franchise. Whereas DR's Jinpachi could be challenging but beatable, Azazel comes with his own set of ridiculous moves which he can apparently use without pause between each one. In short, the boss battles are unfair. It's very timing based, but even when you approach the battle cautiously, with certain characters it seems near-impossible to take this oversized fighter down. It's a real turn-off when I have to give up after trying eight times to beat Azazel with the same character. The customization is a bit less wieldy, too. You aren't able to even view the items available if you aren't able to pay for them... even if all you wanted to do was look at them. Gold Rush mode has been changed so that you are awarded money for attack variation instead of how much damage an attack does. This may or may not be a good thing for you, but personally, when I use my character's most powerful attack, I want it to award me more money than a basic punch does the first time I use it. Oh yes, Rage Mode. In case you haven't heard, in Tekken 6 a character goes into "Rage Mode" when they get beaten down to about 10% health, and it makes it so that all of their attacks do more damage. It was designed to make it so that weakened opponents still have a fighting chance. Obviously, it's a double-edged sword. I've developed a love-hate relationship with it. I realize that it appears in this review that the negatives far outweigh the positives, but that wasn't my intention; the thing is, if you've ever played Tekken before, you know which features make it one of the best fighter games available. I still believe that this is very worth the purchase, especially with the attractive new characters whose unique styles add flavor to an already fulfilling game. If you're on the fence about it or if you don't have the money right now, I'll admit that Dark Resurrection is still probably enough. If you have DR to play, then you can afford to wait a little while until you can no longer bear the absence of Zafina, Leo, Miguel, Bob, Lars and Alisa on your portable screen. All-in-all, it's a very worthwhile game, and one of the best PSP games in my collection. I hope this review was helpful; please excuse the length.
TEKKEN FOR PSP IS GREAT
this game is great!!i got it for christmas and i have to say i havent put it down yet it has so slick graphics on psp maybe the best on this system besides god on war besides the lack of some of the modes from the other tekken for psp its gonna take awhile to unlock all the endings and the best thing about the psp version is that it lacks the campain mode from the 360/PS3 version i reccomend this game to anyone who loves tekken
great games for casual and handcore games its not impossiby hars or easy the best games ever i enjoyed it
I really like this game. I have it for both the PSP & the PS3. The graphics will obviously be better on the PS3, but they are still adequate. The only problem is the Unlockables. IN the PS3, People can be unlocked, however, everyone is there, but that doesn't change the challenge. Azazel is very hard for it. I have to try for 10-12 times to beat him. I do like the game a lot. There are more customization features, and for less. The Scenario campaign was taken out, but that still isn't that bad, Scenario is really hard and the controls would'nt work well on the PSP, well, they don't even work well for the PS3. The Fighting mechanics are very good. They still need a little bit of work, but they are a bump up from Dark Resurrection. A Great game! I reccomend it for everyone who is into the Tekken storyline and always on the go!
when i first got this game i was syched to play it ive been a tekken fan since i was 7 when my dad bought me the very first tekken for the ps1 since then i have played or owned every other tekken that came out and compared to the other games of this franchise i have to say this one had to be less then great sure the great graphics make this a good game for the psp because we all know not that many psp games have awesome graphics but just the entire story dousnt seem to go with the
tekken 6 on the go
tekken 6 for psp i GEART because i can pratice my move and the custmazie mode witch is alsome and the grapics are great for the psp handheld and it's a good way to past the time
Whew, preordering this and dissidia ate up a whole week of paycheck xD. I have to say the graphics are absolutely stunning, the fighting never lets us down and there are quite a few characters for you to choose from. Even though I own the PSP, I have to say the controls are much easier on the XBox when playing this game. So I also recommend getting the Xbox version of this.
I also agree that Street Fighter cannot compare to Tekken's wrath! Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection were both truly awesome games. I still do have both and play Tekken 5 on PSP more often, because I can play it on the go! I hope Tekken 6 is more fun on the road!
