Space Invaders Extreme is a must buy for arcade fans, old school gamers, or just old gamers. It will challenge even veteran gamers on their reflexes and tactics to approaching which powerups to get, and how to survive. I am a hardcore gamer, and when I heard about this game I dismissed it simply as "another remake" but after researching it, and actually buying it, I stand corrected. It is an awesome commemoration to a historic franchise that defined video games and innovation for its time. The price is another good aspect of this game. It is one of the best games on the PSP for the price. There is no story, but that doesn't take away from the gameplay, because it's not necessary or expected. The graphics have been totally redesigned and the special effects like explosions and powerups are great. It has tons of replay value because it's very addicting and it makes you want to shoot for the high score. Overall, I would say this is a must-own for any gamer. Period.

Absolutely amazing update to the series. Do not overlook this fantastic title based on name alone otherwise you'll miss out on what is already one of 2008's best games so far. The music and beat mechanics of Rez and place them into a supercharged updated version of Space Invaders with combos, insane power ups and some nifty visuals and you have one incredible game. DS or PSP, buy it.

This game was very good when I played the japanese demo, (by the way, it is a very import friendly game). Very fast paced, nice music, and nice graphics(sort of). Despite all of this, the frame rate was perfect for the time I played it (and that was about 15 minutes).I will probably buy it.

Played the Japanese version of this game. so-so graphic and is way behind many PSP games. No reading, no planning just non-stop action with good music, sound and game play. Game play is a bit repetitive which makes replay value low.
