A DISAPPOINTING Socom Entry
Socom is well known for combining first person elements, with strategic gameplay. Socom Fireteam Bravo shows none of those thing's. First of all, Socom Fireteam Bravo is a, "get to point a, to point b", type of game which dosen't cut it for a fps game. The enemy ai aren't that smart nor challenging, but you're going to die A-LOT in this game, and most of the time, it's just cheap death. Also, the graphics aren't that great, nor detailed, which is sad since the psp is capable of showcasing better graphics. There is not a proper checkpoint system, so when you die, your going back to where you started, hearing the same exact annoying voiceover. Worst of all, there is not a consistent story here, and if there is, I can't tell. The only slight story you get, is the mission briefing you get before the mission starts, and that is unacceptable. Socom fans and first person shooter fans, you should probably skip this one, unless you enjoy unless grinding.
This game I would have to say is the best PSP game i've bought. The graphics in the short little movies at the start of the missions have awesome graphics. And the graphics for the game are the same as any other PSP game. The campaign mode is fun, but the online multiplayer mode is awesome. I recommend to anybody who loves war games with an online mode, to get it. The game also has a mic. In addition, so you can talk to people who you're playing with. Or if you don't have a mic. It gives you orders you can give to people. In this game you can even make your own clan, you make the name of your clan and invite people you've played with to join it. You can also have friends, by inviting them just like you do when you invite them to your clan. And if you don't have internet on your PSP, you can play the awesome campaign mode. Overall, this is my favorite PSP game.
Dose The series Justice
Porting a console game over to a hand held some times doesn't go over well, but zipper dose a good job of bringing the series over to the PSP. One downside though is you'll face a lot less enemys during the single player and the auto aim only makes things easier. There is a free aim but it's too loose in the heat of action. Most missions will have you going from point A to B or rescuing hostages. Missions get bigger and can be more troublesome to find your way through. Online is packed though with big matches and maps to play on. There's also a quick mission mode where you can replay other missions with different objectives. Over all it's a decent shooter but not one of the best on the PSP. I say check out 2 first and dark Mirror. Both offer more in terms of single player and online.
Great PSP Shooter
This game is fantastic! The gameplay is really great and is almost as good as Fireteam Bravo 2. The graphics are good for it's time as well as the sound. The online multiplayer really shines in this game too. You can send friend requests and become part of clans. Overall, this game is really good and I'll keep playing it for a long time!
Great online game for $6
This is a pretty good game for being so old. You can find a used copy at almost any GameStop. The single player campaign is pretty decent, but it does get repetitive quick. Plus the Instant Action option is basically all the campaign levels, 5 times each. The online multiplayer is what makes the game shine. There's usually about 200 people on every night and it doesn't lag (I play on the East Coast server and I'm in CA). All in all this is a decent game for real cheap.
LETS GO KILL US SOME TERRORISTS!!!
I absolutely love this game! It is very fun shooting people who in my opinion need to be shot! There are a few different difficulty levels (ensign, commander, and admiral) so you can play wether you are good or terrible at it. The graphics aren't all that great but the gameplay matters more in my opinion. It is very fun and I think you should buy it.
Solid PSP Shooter
this game is good for the psp, not great. it has some cool features. the auto aim rocks! but your other squad members don't even follow you!!
great psp game
socom us navy seals is a great psp game but there is room for improvment for many liitle things all about this game but overaal i liked thiss game and you will like it too. first the storyline the storyline was good but not what i expected there are onty you and one other guy and there are no tanks and i hope that socom navy seals firreteam bravo 3 has tanks vichels and a bigger squad and too make this game an realistic as possible. back too the game the sound is good and there are many guns and there is a rocket luncher and grenadeds. the lentgh is perfect there ar 14 missons and thwey get harder and harder which will ocupy you. the conterols and graphichs are good. i honestly recomd this game and i hope the new one is much better this is a good game i liked it.
One of the Most Boring Shooters I've Ever Played
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo intrigued me at first. I was hoping for a fun FPS romp full of action, but instead was nearly put to sleep.
The game throws you and a squad of other soldiers in various levels with tasks such as eliminating enemy threats or defusing bombs. All the missions however end up playing the same: sneak around an enemy, spray a few shots, reach objective. It's dull, easy, weak gameplay that never changes. The enemy AI is bad enough where you won't have to worry about dying unless the death is cheap.
The sound is awful as well. Gun noises are horrible, and every single weapon seems to end up sounding like suppressed bubble wrap popping.
I've seen better shooters on the PSP, stay away from this title.
