Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
This is an excellent game. It starts off a little slow at the beginning, but it picks up in intensity. I could not put it down after I got into it. It is like watching a movie that is full of suspense. I am an older gamer, but I really enjoyed this game. It had me on the edge of my seat!!!

Simply phenomenal!
I've been a long time fan of Silent Hill, but was hesitant to pick this up do to how different it was. Definitely to be treated as a stand alone. While the gameplay is neither difficult nor are the puzzles challenging, it still has a phenomenal story, which I honestly believe beats the original. it has a story that keeps you going, guessing, and wanting to see what happens next, regardless of the fact I looked up the ending before I purchased it! I love this game and want more like it and will wish more will be made.

A good game, best judged as standalone.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a good game with a really good, moody soundtrack, and I believe it captures the essence of being completely alone quite well. The reason for this is that you hardly meet anyone else in the game, and those you do meet don't stay on-screen for very long. I also find the "Nightmare" (or "Otherworld") sections of the game really fun and good for a rush. The puzzle segments are also fun to solve. The other thing I like about the game is the presence of "Echoes", which are imprints of life; they're good for collectibles and to flesh out the town a bit more. However, in order to truly enjoy this game, it would be best if you judge it as not a part of Silent Hill canon, but as its own standalone title.

Great game...for a not so Hardcore Silent Hill Fan
This game is great with its story line as well as in depth strategy that is a great game for the person who isn't up to date or dosn't even know a thing about the series. Its a game by itself seperate from the silent hill series in my opinnion but a great game none the less. Nice job Konami on a great game.

Possibly The Worst Excuse For A Silent Hill Game.
I think that this game should not even exist. Because it is certainly not Silent Hill, Its not a tad bit scary nor do the creatures have any relavance to the original Silent Hill. The RawShocks are a great example of a copy & Pasted creature with only a slight change in form due to choices. And since when did silent hill revolve around ice? Back when i first bought silent hill for the PlayStationOne It had a variety of creatures and was about ''Fire And Disturbing imagery'' not ice and petty excuses for disturbing imagery. A Silent Hill game requires a few simple yet great things that make it what it is. ''1.COMBAT'' (No Silent Hill game is complete without its combat system) ''2. A Variety of creatures'' (we all know Silent Hill games not only by the story or the characters but the disturbing and grotesque creatures and their creepy meanings) ''3. Siren Followed By Blood, Rust, Disturbing Landscapes, And Fire Or Darkness'' ( All Silent Hill players i know knew the siren as the time to prepare for tough fights and puzzles and eventually leading to a boss or story piece. Not only that but the landscapes were what interested me, The twisted areas, the gory halls and floors, and the creepy and violent sounds.) These three things make a Silent Hill game what it is but not this piece of junk oh no! Not only is it a insult to be on the Wii and HandHelds when TRADITION is PlayStation Console with a wired or wireless controller, But the whole remake is a insult to true silent hill fans who expected something good and ended up with a big disappointment and a WASTE OF MONEY! Oh one more thing. WHY DO THESE THINGS HUG YOU TO DEATH?!?!? What happened to the Acid Spewing, Flesh Eating, Skin Cutting, Decapitating, Human Skinning, Grotesque And Destructive Powers And Attacks That Struck Fear Into Those In Silent Hill?!? ///////////////////////From Your Very Own Horror Loving & Skilled Gamer! Worst Silent Hill, ever.
Is this even Silent Hill? i regret buying this completely! For its price, its such a waste of money. get origins or homecoming if you want real silent hill action. all you can do in this game is run away from the monsters. you can't even fight them, or hurt them at all. its terrible. Just watch it on youtube to learn the story, thats the only thing in the game that isn't completely terrible. please, save yourself the time, & money. don't buy this!

Great Game, but sad!
I'd like to start off by saying this is a great game! just like the other silent hills, this has a great story line. The only down side is, you can't fight off the monsters... but still an over-all good game, very depressing ending. The game changes itself, depending on your personality, which was a great effect! I defidently recomend this to people who like survival horror games, and stragedy games!

Worst Silent Hill
omg this was so not worth the money i should of just watch it on youtube, just to get the story. i mean silent hill origins was way better and 20 bucks cheaper on the playstation store. you don't even get to eliminate the monsters all you get to do is push them out of the way. simply just a disappointing game. dang game producers think just cause it has nice graphics it'll be a good game but not at all. just get origins if you really want to have fun. oh and also this game is very short.

I"ve never played a better game
First off, I would like to say i was a little nervous about buying this game at first, but when i saw the trailer, i knew i had to get it. It seemed like a type of game that would give you the freaks if it went to your head. It defidently had it's moments. The graphics weren't great for a psp, but better than any game i ever had. I thought that the story was excellent, a little boring at first, but the farther you got, the more interesting it became. The sound was great, especially the shrieks from the creatures during the nightmares. The only problem i had was the fact that the game was so quiet. The length was great, the first time i played it took almost two weeks for me to beat it. But when you would play the game again, depending on how long you played for, would depict the length of the game. I thought it had a partial challenge. I felt it was pretty much straight forward, until you got to the school, then it had a challenge. Then it evened out again. Some of the nightmares were pretty difficult, especially when it would seem you changed paths and ended up where you started, that became really frustrating. The controls were very simple, they are for all psp games. And last but not least the interface. I was suprised at how much interaction there was. I really enjoyed the fact that as you progressed the nightmare creatures got tougher. The best part was when you played again, some details got changed, i thought that was amazing. It seemed that nothing happened automatically. So if you want this game, It's worth spending however much money to buy it, trust me, you wont regret it.
