Obscure: The Aftermath
great game worth it
i bought this game t was great horror for psp they could of worked better at the story at the begginig it felt like what is this but then it got good then scary and fun to play with a frend but the story could of been improved its worth the money it should be at least 15 for this game but cheaper then its worth
Different,but sometimes different is good
This game is many ways a lot like silent hill however it lacks the flaws of silent hill, the combat system is better then silent hill so its easier to attack your enemies you also got a good multitude of weapons rangeing from hockey sticks all the way up to electric chainsaws therw is of course also guns, interactive use of enviroment allows you to no longer be hassled by many lock doors if they have a window you can break them then unlock the door from the otherside, best part about the game is your always using 2 people hence someone is following you and has your back this aspect allows the game to be played 2 player via wifi an excellent idea for horror fanatics,it also has a good horror atmosphere and stays true to the series the music is creepy at times and can make you jumpy, also one of the cool things i liked in the game is you could smash vending mahciens and grab the soda from them and drink it very nice, the only reason this game didn't reach a true potential was the puzzles,it is normal for horror games to have puzzles but the ones in this game was sometimes ridiculous i mean to the point youd give up and never play the game because some of them are so hard youd have to look on youtube of online walkthrough, even when the puzzles are beat sometimes the answer makes no sense, however i do give bonus points to them having a secret level and multiple different things that can happen in the game which adds to the replay value, this is good for horror fanatics like resident evil and even better when you got a friend over,id reccomend it over the new silent hill games.
Not worth $10
This game is probably one of the worst games I've played...... Ever! I returned this after about a week, and this is why: Most corny and stupid story, terribly frustrating "puzzles" , confusing, nerve-racking, bad controls, bad scripting and dialogue, and its glitchy at times. For $10, I thought this game was a good deal before I knew anything about it. Turns out it's worth maybe $1, if that. If youre at gamestop and see this and you have $10, you might as well just throw away your money rather than buying this.
Great Horror Game
ive bought and played this game and its amazing. the way co op i introduced is cool where anyone can jump in at anytime. the graphics looks like ps2 so i thought it was impressive.suspense was very high as every corner had its jumpy moments. the music and sounds in this game were very like your in the game even without earphones. the speaker volume tends to increase. the storyline was great to me i personally enjoyed it. there are lots of puzzle solving which is y this game is lengthy. the feel for this game on a handheld is pretty good.i like the atmoshere it gives to a portable.overalll i would give this game a 9.5 for the fun and suspense. the only flaw is camera angles and control responsiveness overallll its a great game to pick up at your local gamestop.
Not very good.........
This game got leaked a couple days ago, i downloaded it, very big dissapointment, storyline is cheesy, characters voice overs and lines are terrible, stay away if you can.
I've played this on the PS2 and am looking forward to playing it on the PSP. The game is very neat in the fact that it had a different way of playing a "Silent Hill" type game. Solving the puzzles in this game meant using all of the characters in the game in order to progress which I found to be very unique. The PS2 game had nice graphics, nice control (aside from a few little quirks here and there), very interesting story that plays over from the first part (and you don't even need to play the first part in order to understand this one which is a plus), and a wonderful soundtrack. The music alone is something to play this game for with fully orchestrated music from the Boston Symphony Orchestra and National Opera of Paris by Olivier Deriviere. Now this kind of game is not without its flaws and had its reasons for getting its reviews on gaming websites such as IGN and Gamespot. Starting with the camera, now since this game is 100 times better with a second person playing alongside you it goes without saying that the camera should and NEEDS to be fantastic, and in this game that proves to be false. What with the camera being controlled by the first player only and at times just goes really bad and crazy but just not to the point of being impossible to see. If you happen to not be playing with a second player the AI is just stupid forget about the computer helping you cause it doesn’t. The game can get really hard and not just hard because of the puzzle being really complicated at times, the games difficulty is just hard because of the monsters and how they act and when YOU need to act in order to defeat them. The game is definitely a challenge, but in a way I think that would be a good thing instead of a bad thing only because games that are too easy are boring. The controls could also be a bit better being stiff and almost a problem when you need to do something fast and have the controls not respond ,though this is something that can be looked past once you get used to them. The voice acting and the dialog are something to praise in my opinion. Now at times it may be a few bad puns and really stupid one liners (really really stupid), but I believe that’s what gives this game more character and instead makes you laugh more at them rather than making you groan with disapproval. Now that the game is making its way to the PSP that would mean the camera issue would get fixed because you have to play on two PSP’s making it much easier to see and move around with both players. Hopefully fix up the controls a bit and keep everything else the way it was in the original and you would have yourself an awesome game on your hands.
Pretty good game.
I played this game on the PS2 and I'd say that this game is pretty awesome. Good graphics and pretty good and scary game. I't pretty cool because of the Co-op 2 player mode. My friend and I played 2 player on the PS2 and it kinda sucked because of the fact that one of the players control the screen. Now with this game being on the Psp, the player would be able to use their own screen.
Been there done that!!!
This game is cool and all. Like the graphics make the game look like a Silent Hill kinda game. But I bet that in the game you have to solve puzzles and I'm not good at puzzles. But like in most survival horror games solving how it started is the cool part. I sometimes get freaked out just by finding out how it started. But thats just me. Anyway this game is like a Resident Evil/Silent Hill kinda game. Like solving puzzles, and mysteries. So to me its a "Been there done that"Game.
