Rated 3 out of 10 by The Jackal No new changes on this game.
Purchased this game on the first date that it was available. I expected a lot of the things that I have received year after year with this franchise but, I was extremely let down and disappointed. First of all you cannot update your line ups as well as play via the net. To me those two things really made this game not worth getting. My other gripe with this game is that they really have not made any improvements at all, no changes in their commentating, same old sayings with some dumn jokes at times. But to me it definitely came down to improvements because you figure you pay top price because you expect the game not only to improve from the previous year but, to also not take away things that made this game great. They definitely failed to meet that criteria this year, what a bummer. I have been trying to forwarn everyone about the let down of this game and not to waste your money, this is coming from me the customer.

The Game Looks pretty good as far as the graphics, the controls, the game play, the sounds to the game. The fun factor in the game keeps you coming back for more and more every time.I love the Commentator in the game and the Season mode is always fun. Here comes the LET DOWN! This game does not have the ONLINE MODE! And that's when I got slapped in the face...And so did every PSP Go fan....What the heck was Sony thinking when they did not add the Online to the game and to make it worst there's no kind of info on the PS store stating that the game only haves Ad-Hoc mode.So we are now stuck with the same Rosters...I will never EVER buy another MLB game for the PsP and I Mean NEVER...If Sony Wants to keep robbing us for the Money He can go Rob the Rich and Famous for it....I spent my last and I got a sport game with no online mode and a slap in the face!!!!
Rated 8 out of 10 by MetsFan17215 GREAT BUT WHERE IS ONLINE PLAY
Whats everyone complaining about. the game is quite good. one lack is that there is no online mode. only ad hoc mode. sucks playing with someone a couple feet away. i never had 09 so i dont know the difference. i personally recommend the game but if u want to buy mlb 2k10 go ahead. good things about this game is that the graphics are pretty good. the rosters are not quite updated. jonny damon isnt on the tigers. the gameplay is really smooth. just watch out for the umpires cuz they call horrible strikes or balls. batting is great especially with the guess pitch feature. its funny how the players argue the call becuz there arent umpires. i hate tht. i had to adjust to the fielding at first to playing in the outfied cuz the ball kept rolling by me. i would get this over the mediocre mlb 2k10.
Rated 5 out of 10 by blakestreetbombers32 Its O.K. but 09 The Show was better
I got this in the mail from Amazon.com and I was surprised. Number one problem with this game is Adam Kennedy, Johnny Damon, Yorvit Torrealba, and a lot others are still free agents. Second, on almost all the teams there are fake players. I am a Rockies fan and I am disappointed with no Paul Lo Duca, Jonathan Herrera, and Jay Payton and so on. This game is still realistic and I do like the realistic part like the pa announcer. This rosters are brand new, there some problems with this game. I have started a Spring Training and I have had a 0-5 slow start with a huge blowout and I am going to say if you want to buy it go right ahead. Target Field is a plus and it looks nice but I still this MLB 09 THE SHOW is still a better ball game then this one.

This game is great. They have an improved base running system. The runners actually run, not fly or hover. The players are the players. Mark Reynolds strikes out a lot, and a guy like Ichiro wont bomb 50 HR in a season. When the game is on the line if you put Mariano Rivera in itching becomes easier. Infield hits are now included. Before a ground ball to third was an out. Now if you have Carl Crawford or Brett Gardner running you'll beat it out 85% of the time. This game will be the turning point of the future MLB THE SHOW games. The only downside it has that doesn't make it a 9 is the fact that there is no online play.
Rated 0 out of 10 by NYY ROCKS!!!27 mlb 09 was a dissapointment on road to show i hope they improve
well i hope they improve the goals.i love playin road to show but when i played 09 it was hard for me to get to big leagues. i simulate my season when i am in the minor leagues but it is hard for me to improve my attributes when i have to deal with the goals....maybe i should play it but watever.i hope they improve everthing and mostly road to show.
Rated 9 out of 10 by clackers Really good game
This game is good but it has many problems and i'm only gonna name one of the problems that they need to take off the game next year. The problem is that why do the batters argue to the umpires when they strikeout if there isn't any umpires. So this game is really good i personally like but i will recomend it to sports gamers.

Rated 0 out of 10 by gophils0987 mlb 09 was a dissapointment
There were so many flaws in 09 i don't know where to begin. Bad Graphics, there wern't any umpires so when they argue a call, they are talking to no one. It took FOREVER to load 1 game and road to the show takes forever to beat! I hope that Sony changes the game a lot!
Rated 0 out of 10 Game
I hope it has umpires, better graphics and if they can update the roster a few days before they bring it to the market because i dont know if miguel tejada will be playing for the orioles or will be a free agent when they release the game.
