I am a big fan of Need For Speed but this game destroys all the Need For Speed games for the PSP in every category. This game has awesome car customization, excellent graphics and two huge free roam cities. To start the graphics are stunning for a PSP game. Some PS2 games have graphics that aren't this good. Rockstar Games has done a great job recreating the city so it is small enough for the game but still has all the popular landmarks in Los Angeles like Sunset Blvd., the Santa Monica Pier, the Bank of America building and much more. Career mode feels a bit too much like an RPG than a basic racer. There are no cut scenes but other racers will call you on the game phone and trash talk you for the better part of half of a race which really gets to be a nuisance. The car customization is great with all the same options from Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition. This game is really good and from what I've played through so far I am much more impressed than I was with any of the Need For Speed PSP games.

This game is the best that I have ever played. Its graphics are some of the best that I have ever seen for the PSP. When I got this game I could not stop playing it and I still have not finished it so thats good because I like for the games that I play to last a long time. The controls are good too. The There are a lot of cars to chose from and the customization is the best. There are a huge variety of customizations that you can do with any car, even exotics. You usually don't get to customize exotic cars but In this game you do. The music is also really good. Its music you actually know and that you like to listen to. The race track have many short cuts which makes the racing fun. The story is alright but thats not really why I buy games, I buy games for the cars, music, and customization. This is the hottest game out right now and you need to go spend your saved money because it's a an expenditure that you wont regret. The console version is also good so go buy that too!

The game is actually what I was expecting, Midnight Club LA Remix isn't bad but it isn't great either. It's worth playing, I'm not very far into to it but from what I've played so far, I enjoy. I'd have to say it's about a tie with MC3. There both really good, if you liked MC3, then this one is pretty good as well, like most of the others have mentioned there aren't many vehicles to choose from, maybe 36 or so but there actually pretty good, Again I have enjoyed it so far, the graphics are surprisingly good though LA itself is rather small. I haven't gotten to Tokyo yet but i'm excited as it is in MC2 and MC3 Remix, the races are pretty good as well. The only thing I don't like much is traffic, sometimes that will actually drive into you or change into the lane that your in the last second which is very irritating. Overall I suggest it to anyone looking for a good game in the time being. Starting in 2009 most game developers will be coming back to the PSP to make more games for it so it does have a bright future.
Rated 6 out of 10 by Throwed Too Hard, gets boring.
This is a decent psp game made by Rockstar Games (makers of GTA). The races are fairly fun overall, but very frustrating due to the fact you will have to restart them half the time. That's the real problem in the game, it is too hard. In the easiest races, you can come in 3rd or worse with one wrong move. Another aspect that takes away from the game, is it's very one dementional (Win a race-Get money-Buy Parts-etc.). This routine gets dull quickly, and often leads you to just cruise around the city. The soundrack is annoying because most of the music (which is good) has many curses which are all edited. If you're going to put in music like that, you really have 2 options: Don't edit them, or simply don't put those songs in the game. Lastly, the city of Los Angeles is beautifly depicted, which is why I gave the graphics a high rating. Overall this is a decent PSP game, but if you want a real game get Midnight Club's mature cousin: GTA.

This racing game is hardcore! The vehicle customization is beyond great! You can customize the license plates, the rim color, car design, etc. There are a number of vehicles in this Midnight Club game, like more than about 30+. The graphics look realistic, especially the car designs. Some of the graphics might look somewhat dull and/or too pixelated. Some of the races are hard, some are easy, but they're not as difficult. The controls are a little tricky, i always think that the brake was the square button but it's not. The thing that's similar to the graphics is the sound. The car sounds are realistic. More specifically, the engine noise, it's sounds like a real-life engine sometimes. I like some of the music, thought. Others, I'm not fond of. The interface's good, too. If you got a PSP, and you are a fan of racing games, this is the right one for you.

Midnight club L.A. for the P.S.P. isn't bad, but I thought it would be so much better. Its a good game but not great. I like the story line, the graphics, and the cars. There's not many cars but with the ones that they have, they're cool ones. It's better than Midnight Club 3. So it's an upgrade from the old ones. The game is pretty long, considering you get to have two careers. I wasn't wowed by the music and I didn't care for the car customization. But i did like how this time you get race updates on your phone. Theres a lot of people to race and a lot of tournaments to win in L.A. and Tokyo. The races are pretty challenging because of the roads but it's a little easier with the controls that are there. It's a game that is definetly new you can tell by the graphics but with all of that. I thought it would have been, and should have been better.
Rated 10 out of 10 by a great Customer one of the best racing games for the psp
This is a must buy if you love racing games and have a psp Midnight Club: LA Remix has two city to choose from LA and an exclusive city Tokyo. It also a open world and has lots of cars and lots of Vehicle Customization. This is not like the console version but its still fun even though you there no people around the city but there is lots of traffic like in real LA and the graphics are the best i have ever seen on a psp the the only problem i had was you can't play online but everything else is great and fun. it has 41 cars and three bikes the loading times are not as long as midnight club 3 dub edition but they are still kind of long this game is worth the buy even if you have the console version I give this game 10 out of 10 and i would recommend Midnight Club: LA Remix to other customers is a must buy!!

When I First Played Midnight Club: LA Remix on my psp. I was concerned. The cars were old and to get new cars were expensive and it was hard to win races. As I progressed throughout this racing game though i fell in love with its style and gameplay. This game might be hard at first but once you get good cars or upgrade your existing ones, you can kick anybody's butt in L.A. or Tokyo. Midnight club has the best controls and the soundtrack is great. The game can get hard at times and you might have to try to beat somebody once or twice but overall this is probably one of the best racing games on the PSP. The cars are great too. You might start out with a 1983 Voltswagen Golf GTI, but in the end you'll get awesome cars like a 2006 Fort GT or a Ducati Motor Bike. A Must have for all PSP owners

This game is more than I expected and very well done. Graphics are amazing even at high speeds with great control over the hand-brake. Customizing is what you would expect from a tuner game. Smooth gameplay and you can clearly see obstructions ahead. Bright clear skies during the day and colorful nightlife. Agro, Zone, and Roar are unlocked later in career mode with a bunch of new toys for arcade/multiplay mode as well. Disrupter, Ice, Nitro, Pulse, Shield, Stealth, Stop, Go, Reverse Steering, and Quad Damage to make arcade mode a completely new game. There are 43 cars and 3 bikes along with more than enough music to keep you entertained. The only real thing I wish they will add in the future is online since it's bigger brother has it and us psp users need to show off our creations!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Kromius Outstanding, Must buy!!
This is by far, much better than any need for speed on the PSP, I got this game for my birthday and had average expectations because I only liked Need For Speed. After Playing it for a week, I fell in love. The game is amazing and a must buy for ANYBODY that likes racing or ANYBODY that needs a psp game. Get this game for sure, it has a good sense of speed, AMAZING customization. Great vehicles and a lot of challenge in some races, it even has day and night, so you are not always racing in daylight or at night, it swaps. The graphics are amazing for any psp racing game, and there is actually traffic in the game, so unlike NFS Carbon where you only see a car every 5 minutes, here you weave through traffic with your car at about 175 mph or even more. Even the music is great.
