Loved it: It didn't take itself seriously at all!
I never had the chance to play Medievil 1 or 2 on the PS1, so I was in for a charming surprise with Medievil: Resurrection. I'm sure other reviewers have commented on the plotline, so I'll delve into the quirkiness of this entertaining, lighthearted game. It never takes itself too seriously and always maintains a childish sense of imagination AND humor. For anyone who has not experienced this title, try to imagine a game visually designed by Beetlejuice's Tim Burton, with dialogue provided by people like Rowan Atkinson, Simon Pegg, or Monty Python. It is difficult to describe such a magically entertaining combination of: 1) Fantasy, 2) Lighthearted horror qualities, 3) Humor and 4) Imagination -- but trust me, they worked excellently. My only critique would be the awkwardness of the action at times. However, its good points far overshadow any negative.
This game brings back memories of when i was little playing this on the PS on it has fun gameplay
midevil will always rule!
no offense matt22 im not trying to attck anyone but maybe you bought this game under false pretenses. midevil is a slapstick of the knight based games. i played the first two when i was 10-11 yrs old and loved it. resident evil was the game at the time but it was too intense for kids my age so my older brother turned me on to midevil, which along with blasto made my weekends for 2-3 yrs. this game never goes outta syle in my book.
game is wack
this game sucks i played for five minutes and i just got it and i thought it would be good since i like knights and midevil but its not a good fit at all. if i were you i wouldnt get this game (hint hint)
