Hmmmmm....
Ive played so many of the HM games before, and im usually VERY tollerant of how long it takes to acomplish friendships, raise animals, ect. ect. but this game just took TOO long and i gave up. :P (It gets really boring after about 2 days lol)

Really Fun
I got this game for Christmas, along with a PSP. When I first started playing it, I was dissapointed that I couldn't be a girl. Then I started the game and found it to be really fun. But, only 2 years to get 50,000G? Seems hard. And it is. The map is confusing to me because the arrows don't point the same way the road does. Also, there's too many places to go. I get lost a lot. Now, my biggest problem with this game is selling things. There isn't a shipping box. I have to go to different stores each scattered along the island. They only take what the store sells. So you basically have to run around all day. This game is fun though. You get to choose from 2 stray dogs that come on your property. Also, the part-time jobs are fun too. The mining one is far from your house, but it pays a lot. I would recomend this game to anyone, it's not horrible, and it's not perfect. But you get used to the not-so-great parts.

Game Freezes
This is the first review I have ever written. I am only writing this one to warn people about the game freezing. I have returned one game thinking it was the game. I also returned a brand new system thinking it was the system. It was not and cost me my extended warranty at gamestop, I was not willing to pay another $20.00 for another one. I have had the game now several months and it freezes at different times and locations in the game play. It is very frustrating as I love harvest moon and this game is wonderful otherwise. Just be aware that the game freezes up or is it just the two I have gotten hold of.

the best harvest moon
in general, all harvest moon games are good. the best are a wonderful life and friends of mineral town. but this outranks them all. to my perspective on the gameplay and graphics, they are both solid and wonderful. most of them would give this an outstanding rating. truth be told, this is a replica of both friends of mineral town and a wonderful life put together, creating a distinct perfection within itself. most would say that this is a wonderful thought out game. when i first saw the game, i was dumbfounded by the way it looked. oh, it is everything that any harvest moon game can deliver. in truth, i wanted them to make a "normal" harvest moon, not anything that has only the characteristics of it. i think they answered my prayers when harvest moon: hero of leaf valley was born. thank you, natsume, for making the greatest harvest moons ever.

I love this game!
I recently bought this game and I have to say, it's excellent. The storyline is wonderful, and very well organized. The graphics are very good as well. I love the character designs, and scenery. There is so much you can do in this game. I'm a big Harvest Moon fan, and this is the best one I've played so far. Also, I love the sounds in this game. Everything fits so perfectly, like, the music. I can never get tired of the music in this game. It's so beautiful, and relaxing. The other sounds are good too. For example, I love the sounds of all the animals. I also love the personalities all the characters in this game have. Every character has a different personality from anyone else. When you befriend the characters they say different things depending on how good of a friend you are to them. So overall, I love this game, and would recommend it to many people.

Your not a robot!
After a much awaited wait the brand new Harvest moon game from the series is out. There has been two releases of harvest moon onto the playstation portable system. The First been harvest moon: boy & girl(a great remake from a classic in which you basically choose everything in the storyline, including your gender!) and the other being Harvest moon: A futuristic harvest moon, which was not liked by many fans since the limitation of being a robot took out many liked features. Though with this new title from natsume, many fans will once again be able to take their favorite RPG style farm game with them. The story line is very similar to the other harvest moons as in the fact that your trying to save the land from being destroyed. This harvest moon does have certain key figures such as the new way to obtain man's best friend and the different side quest which you have to take in order to receive important materials needed to better your farm and thus saving the land you have inherited. This is a must play for any harvest moon fan and farmville fan.

Best PSP HM
Despite the lack of family, and if memory serves, festivals, Save the Homeland was a great game for its many different endings. There was always something to work towards. I'm sure it won't be as good as animal parade, magical melody, rune factory frontier, or any of the other newer HM titles. But I think it has the potential to be the best harvest moon on the PSP system and a good travel game. I've played HM: More Friends of Minerial Town so many times that the change will be refreshing. I look forward to adding this to my collection.

another one?
I'd like to call myself a big fan of the Harvest moon series but Ive only played a handfull of games (wonderful life, magical melody, DS, sunshine island and all 3 of the rune factories) but from what Ive read of save the homeland this seems liek the newwer version of it that lets you marry. Even so I think I'd still like to try it out.

Wow
I am pretty excited for this upcoming PSP Harvest Moon title. I have played the better portion of the Harvest Moon series and have missed maybe 3 or 4 of the current titles. I really enjoy HM however marriage in the game is one of the most exciting aspects but I have read you must first complete two years of the game time before you can even begin courting. Once you do get married you are UNABLE to have children. This was a major let down to me and may be the one thing that prevents me from picking up this title.
