greatness and its downsides
I don't have this game but my friend does and when i first saw it i thought it was a flop. But when i started playing i couldn't stop. The graphics are pretty good and the sound is awesome. My friend took his psp away from me 3 times because i couldn't stop playing. It is a GREAT game but it does have its flaws. I found it way too easy. I could sit in front of the boss right in his face and i used quickdraw (slows down time for a bit or a while) and killed the boss without taking a hit and in the original game the bosses are actually fun but not here. I also found a lack of people in towns a bit of a bore because it kinda gets rid of a gta style feel by shooting innocents which means no FREAKING POSSE FIGHTS. The weapons are okay but only 2 of them are new. Buy.
well i liked it for the ps2 but this game kinda brings out a bad side to the game.but still looks pretty cool.even though it had lots of disimprovements like graghics, interface, etc> but either way this games good.especialy because shooter.i love shooter games. and also gun pumps up the GORE!! ilove to get into showdowns, got to the different towns, explore the map,get more guns.but i would highly reccomend this game thats into shooter, hunting,GORE,just wandering around the map, gettin into huge shootouts, getting a bunch of guns, even though there isnt a huge selection of guns.you get bows, shotguns, rifles, and snipers.but you get a few of all the weapons, so it will definitly satisfied with the selection.but anyway u might rather get it for the ps2.
Great remake of the original, w/ a few drawbacks.
1. New missions add to already awesome story.
2. New weapons make killing way more interesting and fun.
3. Online play gives the game a good lasting appeal.
4. Quickplay mini games, that are exclusive to the system
5. Graphics and gameplay are very good considering the memory constraint on PSP games and the
6. Cutscene videos and game environments are flawless!!!
1. Exclusion of the Scalping Knife from the original game
2. Minor pixelation during certain points, but wasn't too bad to ruin the game.
3. Characters mouths don't move when talking during gameplay; excluding cutscenes.
Honest-to-goodness GUN on your PSP, albeit some drawbacks...
After playing the console version of GUN three times through, I became very excited once I found there was a PSP iteration. Once I started playing, it was good old GUN, but smaller. My only true complaints about the game are the finicky horseback controls, which take quite a bit of getting used to and the targeting which is a little off, something like a target lock would have instantly fixed it. Nevertheless, it still retains the feel of the console version with some added bonuses, such as Quick-Play missions, additional weapons and unique Multi-Player games. If this game was given a little more polish, it would have been spot-on perfect. I would highly recommend GUN Showdown to any fans of the original, or for somebody who's itching for a solid action title.
