A fast but unique fighter.
As a close follower of the Type/Moon works, I first tried this game out on an imported disc for the Playstation 2. My group of friends and myself were hyped about playing it, and we soon dubbed this game "Fate/Unlimited Combos" for various reasons. However, despite the fact that we didn't understand the basic mechanics of the game and let Lancer, Caster and Gilgamesh players completely run the room, we still had fun.
Now that the game had been released out in the states, with easy access by DLC as well, I have been able to not only understand the the text now, but also the game mechanics better as well, to the point of taking my best characters gameplay and using it in the PS2 version.
Those who like fighters that are simple to mash through can play this to pass the time, but the ones who like to bring strategy to their fighters will definitely play this for months to come. I even found some great players at this years Anime Expo, picking up some new tricks along the way. I consider myself a casual gamer, but this one can bring out my competitive side, too.

Fun, simple fighting game
Fun and simple fighting game, yet deep enough to keep you coming back to it. Not for those who spend hours a day studying combos in order to beat everyone on earth.
