Great game saddled with 2 major flaws
I really wish the QA team for this game focused on gameplay and not just bugs... I really enjoy the D&D world; I played a few of the older computer games and had reasonable expectations. I was both delighted and outraged. I have never had such mixed feelings about a game. On the one hand the tactical combat and leveling elements are great. The problem is that you travel (when not in combat) in a tactical combat fashion (meaning you move each party member, one at a time based on their in combat movement range) this takes up way too much time and really was just poorly thought out. The second issue is the inventory/shop system is much more cumbersome than needed. Instead of having a group inventory each person holds their own stuff and items need to be traded between one member and another meaning if you fighter picked up an item (due to his high strength he can carry more) even when "in town" you have to trade items; this is again a factor of the tactical element (which is A+) so that encumberance (how much weight you are holding) is always monitored, but it was a mistake. If they had the party move as a whole outside combat and allowed for a pool of items when not "adventuring" this game would have been a 9 or 10. I played this game to the end and really enjoyed it. The story was meaningful, combat challenging and locations were well thought out. Gosh I wish some testers would have said "hey this is a video game not a pen and paper port" fix these 2 ridiculous issues.

Good for Fans
I'll admit, this game isn't the best out there, but it's not bad. The combat system is fairly decent. The story is however, forgetable. The main attraction to this however, is the 3.5 rule system.
So in conclusion, if you like DnD, get this game. If not, there are better games out there..

This is Horrible
I really like tactical rpg's I love valkyria chronicles and disgaea. But this game is just horrid. Let's start with the gameplay pretty bad for one thing you miss 9 out of 10 attacks. And besides that huge disadvantage the gameplay still is'nt that good. So bad there, the sound well you can't really mess that up,same with graphics. And I would never play this game AGAIN I returned very shortly after getting it I don't think you have to be a dungeon and dragons fan to appreciate this I don't think any one should fan or not

Great RPG, but What downloadable content?
This game is a must have for all RPG gamers but it may be a little confusing for people that are new to the world of Dungeons and Dragons. The graphics are pretty good considering that it is a portable game and gameplay can be pretty challenging. If you are new to the game i suggest you make a fighter or a paladin for your player character because they do a lot of damage and have high health. The only thing i think they should have fixed is the camera because sometimes you cannot move to a certain area because the camera isn't lined up perfectly, good thing you can change the camera with the analog stick. Lastly the description says there is downloadable content, but where is it? The game does not have a downloads section in the menus. Do i get it off the internet? Overall this game is a must have for the psp.

awsome game
this game seems fun but theres only one probelm i see in the screen shots that i dont really like. most of the screen shot pictrues dont really have up close veiw of the person. other then that this game sounds like a whole lot of fun. it kinda reminds me of a computer game that i used to play called maplestory. u can lvl cange weapons and do all kindas of stuff like this game.

What to expect?
I have not played a beta or anything. I love D&D and i think this game looks great, the characters and oprions look amazing, still im a little confused. If you look at the game shots you'll see that the game is repetitive. i hope that the game captivates the imaginative part as well as the gaming. When i was a teen-ager thats what D&D was about imagination, so in my opinion looks great i'll probably recomend getting!

About Time !
I can't believe it's taken 15 years to re-make a classic type game. Pool Of Radiance was / is the BEST RPG in the world ! I can't wait to go back to my teen years again and play D & D. Oh the hours of joy !!!!! Let's hope this starts the ball rolling and more games just like this come out as well ! ! !

Turn based glory!
This game ISN'T like Gladius, thank god. Just because D&D Tactics *and* Gladius are tile-based, turn-based strategy games doesn't make them similar. D&D Tactics is more like classic 1980's PC D&D RPGs. Like pool of radiance. It's all about deep, statistical combat, something that has been lacking in D&D games for the past 14 years. I'm REALLY looking forward to a REAL D&D game for a change. Turn based is real D&D.

gladius (old ps2) meets d&d
after more research and screen shots this game looks like a mix of gladius and d&d....gladius was an old ps2 gladiator strategy made by lucasarts which was highly addictive and cool as hell--if this is like it then this is gonna be an awesome game--prepare to waste many hours on it--looks kinda like a game of chess with d&d dudes-----super cool

....
I wonder what world D&D: Tactics take place in. I hope its Ebberon not Greyhawk. Ether way it should be better than Dark Alliance 2. Yes I know DA2 took place in Forgotten Realms. At least we get to make are own charaters this time around.
