Dead Head Fred
The hours of sleep I lost
I was skeptical at first about this game. Time and time again I would pass this game up and get something else. I decided to buy this when I did a little reading about it. I am so very glad I did, however, be prepared to lose some sleep. The graphics were awesome in the game. I was amazed at the detail that went into this. I know it is a hand-held game, but wow did the game makers really do okay with this game. I love ripping the head off and the other moves you can do. The sounds in the game were flawless. There is a lot of humor in this game and language. I would not recommend to kids under 13. The voice acting was great and I commend all those who did the voices. Every little sound was done right and what I would expect to hear from a game. The controls were very easy to use and learn. Even the occasional button pushing was easy. Overall, this has to be one of my all time favorite games. There is so much to do and the replay value is awesome. I am still going through and playing some of the side missions and there is a lot. In fact, there are side missions I haven't even found yet. Anyone who likes dark humor and can stand the bad language, must go out right now and buy Dead Head Fred.
First things first, if you can't stand blood or swearing, look elsewhere. If these don't bother you, you'll be treated to one of the finest action adventure games on the PSP. Every aspect of this game impressed me. From the excellently voiced cast, to the great atmosphere the game presents. It's not a terribly difficult game-- there may be a few areas where you'll bite the dust, but you generally get to retry very close to where you failed. That's not to say it's too easy, you still have to utilize the finer details of the combat system or you'll get nowhere. One of the main features of the combat is the interchangeable head system. The heads have different abilities and are able to counter certain enemies' attacks. There are some enemies where it might be beneficial to start with one head, and finish them off with another. Heads are easily switched out, much akin to the weapon wheel in the Ratchet and Clank games. It's not particularly deep, but it's still fun. Really though, while each individual aspect of the game is pretty good, it's when you put everything together that it becomes truly great. Aside from the main game, there are a lot of little extras that really flesh the game out. They're not mandatory, but if you feel like playing pinball, pool, or going fishing or participating in rooster fights where you can train up your own bird, or arena fights and other miscellaneous things, you have the option to do so. There's also a lot of side quests that you can partake in for money, items, etc. All in all, it was a game that I really enjoyed. Like many, I had never heard of it, but I took a chance since it was only $edit new. After playing it, I can honestly say this game doesn't get the attention it deserves. There are many action games where the story doesn't flow quite right, but this one nails it.
Dead Head Fred Is Dead On!!!
"Dead Head Fred" is one of the top games for the PSP. Although the title isn't up on the popularity scale with titles like GTA Vice City Stories or God Of War: Chains of Olympus, it is in my top 3 games. it offers the best of all the top games in history. compelling story line, awesome characters, great voice acting, funny dialogue, and good controls. it is a must own for any zombie genre fan. i am a Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Clocktower freak, so this addition won't stray too far from what i like. it is set in an alternate 1930's universe which makes it a little comical. i was laughing right after the first cut scene. this title deserves to be given a chance by all gamers. college students would love this game. as i am one, i am always looking for a game that will challenge me just enough so that i will stay interested. college students are always looking for the most convenient thing, whether its food, books, or video games. this game is awesome to play between classes. it stars John C. McGinley, or better known as Dr. Cox from "Scrubs" as our hero Fred. he brings that sarcasm and dark humor with him to the voice of Fred. it is hilarious to hear him briing those talents to the game. the game reminds me a little bit of "Psychonauts" because of the graphics. although "Psychonauts" was a major disappointment, "Dead Head Fred" will not dissapoint. the cost is right, and the game is awesome. go out and buy it.

How could anybody like dead head fred! let alone giving it 10 out of 10! gameplay is boreing, sound is bad, graphics are old and dated, and wonce you play it once, you wont play it twice.
