When I first bought this game, I assumed that it probably wouldn't be worth it because of the very low price (9.99 is still extremely low even for a PSP game). I am very happy to say that I was completely wrong. The graphics are better than I thought they would ever be (although if you're looking for a game with graphics like a PS3 or XBox 360 game, this isn't your best choice) and the variety of firearms is lots better than I expected. Once you first start playing the game the controls are at first a little bit hard to understand but after the first level or so you really start to get the hang of it. The game's length is pretty good, but the levels aren't too much different from the others. The thing that keeps you going is the excitement of achieving new firearms, because each gun you pick up is very unique from the other. The variety of monsters is pretty good too. For the money, this is a very good game that is totally worth more than the price.
A fun game but not the greatest
This game is fun but if you like long FPS shooter games this is not the one to look at. It has 3 sectors. Sector 0 is the tutorial. Sector 1 and 2 have 3 levels. Here is some of the good things: Great weapons. You can carry alot at a time and have the other in your inventory. The game is hard. I can't beat Sector 2 level 3. Its really, really hard. The graphics are pretty good. I see where they could have done better. Some bad things: The story is not really good. You are a hacker in a simulated training center that has never been beaten. That's all. You are the only person you see. Its good its non-stop gameplay but in others...not so much.Like I said it's hard but too hard in some parts. You have to kill certain enemies to go on and in some places they are guared buy enemies who can kill you (even when your health is at full) with 1-5 hits. It is hard to find ammo with certain weapons. You mostly find ammo for the weapons that are least affective or weakest. In Sector 2 they overdid the levels. It took me over 2 hours to get through 3 floors. So overall, if you want a game to occupy your time get this and if you want a game to enjoy I recommend something else.
Repetitive, but worth a buy.
The only sci-fi fps available on the PSP (aside from the sequel), Coded Arms is a ton of fun in short bursts. Your arsenal of weapons is varied and upgradeable, the targeting mechanic works well, the graphics are GORGEOUS, and the sound design is downright perfect. A lot of small details went into sound and graphic design that you'll come to appreciate the more you play the game. Unfortunately, Coded Arms is incredibly repetitive. You'll be fighting through LITERALLY the same corridors throughout the game. There are a few new room types later on, but for the most part levels are copied/pasted with a new coat of paint. That being said, the game is very fun in 30-minute intervals and the simple weapon upgrading system will keep you coming back. Recommended, especially with its low used price tag.
I've had this game for over two months and I have to say this is one of the best games I have ever played. It was a lot of fun even my friend liked it. The story line was all right but what I liked the best were the weapons, there are over 30 guns and my personal favorite is the machine gun. The game had realistic awesome gun sound. Though this wasn't one of the longest games I have ever played the length was OK. THe graphics were awesome. The multi player mode was great especially with all the worlds you can go to. The controls were great for experienced gamers so I wouldn't recommend this game to beginners. But I would recommend this game to anyone who likes shooting, killing and gore so I would really recommend this game to the players of the world so I hope you buy this awesome game!
Game is convieniante
So the deal with this game is that PSP has like no good first person shooters, side from SOCOM and GHOST RECON, which you can play on other systems. So its convienante that this game is around. cuz' sometimes your jus itchin for a good F-P-S game and you got your psp and your just like "well this is great..." then you dig through that old stack of games adn you find this game and you just have at it... That or you buy and Xbox 360... But somtimes its the portability that adds to the enjoyment of the game, so for me this game is just... Nice...
Good FPS on the PSP
Coded Arms is a good PSP game. I was a little skeptical about getting it, but I'm glad I bought it. Gameplay is easy to get used to if you have played the Medal of Honor games on the PSP. Graphics are great, especially since this is one of the earlier PSP games. Overall, if you like FPS games and sci-fi, this is a perfect game for you because it combines elements from both. It's a good game for the PSP.
this game sucks the controls are hard to figure out there is no storyline what so ever all your doing is running around shooting random aliens that dont even look cool get an awsome game like skyrim dont waste your money on a piece of trash
A good game.I would recimend it to any one.Not to challingin.graphics are not amazing but good.It has cool guns.Vary good for the monny. the controls are good.It is just a over all good game.
