the game itself is fun even with the controls it's pretty easy. Not much characters but the game was real good the story line is hard to complete. But i suggest you stay practicing in training mode before anything else.

BlazBlue on the PSP is as amazing and great game as it is on the console. In the game you have about 12 characters to follow and all 12 have "Unlimited" counterparts that are awesome and more powerful than normal versions of Characters. You have story, arcade, training, time attack and a new legion mode in which you build an army of BlazBlue Characters and take out other teams. when you complete different modes of play you get money which you can spend on art, Unlimited characters, outcomes of story mode, a bunch of funny tutorials called "Teach me, Ms.Litchi", and Unlimited characters. Another cool aspect of this game is its multiplayer. Up to 4 people can be in a room or "Lobby" and while two people fight the other two can spectate. this game is very odd and unique fighting game that is rarely found on the psp. When you get the time or are just a fighting game fan go out and buy this amazing title!
Rated 5 out of 10 by WesWolf Great game, stupid controls
As much as I love Blazblue, the psp d-pad is not well suited for fighting games and there is no option to use the thumbstick. It feels awkward trying to move, and it usually wont detect diagonal movement, turning a quarter-circle strong attack into a forward strong attack. The bad control choice is a shame because the game looks amazing with well animated character sprites, and it has all the humor and interesting character design one would expect from Arc. With all of the added content such as new unlimited characters and play modes, this game could have been even better then the console release, but it gets frustrating when half your moves and dashes won't register causing you to lose matches. Stick to the console version, or buy Guilty Gear if you need a good psp fighter.

The sprites are of Guilty Gear quality so one of the portable Guilty Gear games would be a more solid fighter and would be cheaper. I will probably still buy it soon as it comes out but this feels a bit odd knowing Continuum shift will be coming out soon after and will have two more characters. Still new a Arc System works fighting game for is generally a good thing And at least we get new modes and unlimited versions (super overpowered) of each character as opposed to just Hakumen, Ragna, V-13, and Rachel.

If you are looking for a solid fighter for the PSP of some sort, BlazBlue is the game for you. This game has engaging characters, good story, and a good sense of humour. The controls can get really annoying sometimes though! Anyways there are several characters (My favorite is Taokaka!) to choose from and many moves to use. Use them WISELY!

Well Blazblue's controls were a little odd but hey, the game will last you for so long if you like fighting games. Also if you love the Guilty Gear series, dont be afraid to try out something a little new

I know it may be kinda suspicious if i give this game just about a high rating on everything, but TRUST me its worth it(trust me).Ok Ima try to make this quick, this game is about 1 inch away from perfect(in my opinon). When i started,i didnt know how the controls were gonna be considering the psp's d-pad,but it somehow feels REALLY smooth.Attacks and specials are real easy to do.There's also a nice feature to do specials using the analog stick (up,down, left, right). The gameplay is fast paced and is just fantasic. And if somehow the controls don't suit you, change them in the options menu Characters are all unique in their own little way.12 didn't really seem enough for me,but boy was i wrong. Each character feels different and no 2 are the same.So after experimenting with them all,i wasn't worried with the fact that i only had 12 characters to beast with. The same goes for the story.Everyone has a serious/funny story and again,no 2 are the same.If you think you just fight and fight, you're off.Stories go deep into the characters and help explain who they are, what they do, and how they all relate in one way or another to each other. And by the way, graphics are amazing, backgrounds are highly detailed and sprites(characters) are very bold and colorful.Of course they're not as good as the consoles, but nothing's perfect. The game was worth while and there's many too unlock(mainly in-game/special illustrations).Arcade is also included with a new feature Legion mode.Kinda like Team/Strategy/Arcade/Survival type of thing.Almost everything is voiced so i gotta give props for that as well.So now that im done babbling(about this awsome game),i feel perfectly fine with giving it such a high score(like i said it really,REALLY deservid it).
