Product Details:

Wolfenstein®: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to the critically acclaimed first-person action-adventure shooter, Wolfenstein®: The New Order. The adventure, which spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories, features the hallmarks of MachineGames - thrilling action, immersive story and intense first-person combat. As war hero B.J. Blazkowicz, arm yourself with new weapons such as the bolt-action rifle and grenade-launching Kampfpistole as you attempt to thwart the advancing Nazi war machine, and take advantage of duel-wielding pipes that can be used for wall climbing - or for vicious take-downs of never-before-seen Nazi adversaries.

The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the allies' favor, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria....

Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead's compound. In part two - The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs - our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best wolfenstein to date! First off many of you wont believe me or disagree with me that this game was the best wolfenstein. I beleive that it is because of several things. One for the price of $15 the downloadable version is the best price and the space it takes up is the same weather you buy the disk or download. second this game is a little smaller than other wolfenstein games like the new order or the PS3 reboot. The upside to this is that the game is solid focused and to the point. the graphics throughout the game are amazing and the levels are great. The reason the price was lower in this is becuse of the shorter game. To me I like it becuse it was a full game but for half the price if ID came out with more shorter wolfenstein games that would also be great. overall this game is great for its price and I would recomend this to anyone who has not played a wolfenstein game or has played any of the old or new ones. The story leads into the new order pretty well. The combat some people say is hard but that is only because this is not a run and gun game it requires strategy and effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Game I have been a fan of Wolfenstein for years, this game being my second favorite. (The first being Wolfenstein:The New Order). Anyone who complains that this game is too hard or too cheap is wrong. First of all, this game was not meant to be as long as Wolfenstein, that's why it costs $20. Also, the gameplay is not hard as you can change the difficulty down. The game sometimes has a little scary elements to it, but it's not that bad. A few dogs jumped out and scared me a couple of times. I definitely recommend this game but I suggest you play Wolfenstein; The New Order first. The graphics are great and the ammo/supply system is fun to explore with. I hope this review was helpful

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Defintely a Wolfenstein game. I really didn't know what to expect when I decided to purchase this game but I knew I enjoyed all the previous Wolfenstein games. I figured it was a reasonable price for a known name. I have played some intense FPS but something about this game was more intense than the others. This was a hard game, at least for the first hour or so until I understood the rhythm of the game. Lot's of enemies and being in the open was not a good mix. If you would like a challenging FPS, this game is for you. Thank God hit detection is on point because head shots make all the difference.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a great game Some people will hate me for this but I do not like this game. It's too friggin hard. Even on the easier skill levels, it's too hard. One thing that I don't like is the attack dogs. It's hard to aim at them and when one grabs a hold of you, he will rip you to shreds before you can defend yourself. The graphics of this game are awesome but that's the only thing that I like about it. I bought this game at Walmart for $20.00. When a video game is sold that cheap, it's usually not a great game. I'm sorry that I have to say that I don't like this game because I've been a fan of Wolfenstein games for 20 years.
