Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate Everything you read under the comments section is true, both the good and the bad. It's number 7 in a company franchise of mixed reviews and modern day marketing. I expected it to be average and that's exactly what it is. Is it better than its predecessors? No. Is it worth 60 US dollars? Yes, Why...? Because a lot of time and money was put into the development of this game and it does look & feel impressive when you play it. So why rate it 3 stars? I'm a gamer who played fighting games since atari. Simply put, I no longer get impressed by what companies are calling games these days. The ingenuity that existed long ago faded over the years and now we get what I call "incomplete products". So my answer for you is buy the game, criticize it, and write your own review on this page...and of course return the game for 15$ trade-in credit lol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was okay I guess I was just expecting more out of it. Don't get me wrong that's a fun game but it was just too quick and there's no Team battles or other modes. They should do what they did in the previous tekken games and have a scenario campaign where we can walk around or maybe add something fun like Tekken volleyball.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh..... Bought the game from Xbox market friday, beat campaign in 1 1/2 hrs, loved the graphics, but did not like the gameplay style at all havent really like a tekken game since 4, but have still played every tekken since the first one. Wasn't that fun of a game. main story is 15 chapters long 4 chapters are just videos and story scripts, i think 9 chapters had 2 fights while the other 2 only had 1 fight so 20 fights in all thats it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Besting Fighting Game for PS4 Tekken 7 is without contest the best fighting game for the current gen consoles. The complexity and depth of the Tekken series is on full display here, and at 60fps with beautiful visuals it is the best Tekken game, and indeed the best fighting game to date. I would not take stock in the negative professional reviews, which seems to present 3 common critiques, each of which is not persuasive. They are; 1) The game hasn't changed enough in over 20 years and is "outdated." When a perfect formula is arrived at, it doesn't need to be "updated" for the sake of presenting something new. We have seen dozens of fighting games come along since the first Tekken games, all of which brought something "new" to the table. But introducing new elements to games for the sake of bringing consumers something else to buy is a pathway to gimmicks, and that's exactly what tekken's competitors have offered. If you want something new, buy a different fighting game, if you want something good, buy Tekken 7. 2) The game is too hard. This argument can also be read, "the game is too good." Yes Tekken is difficult to learn. That's what makes it great. There is a reason Tekken tournaments are well populated years after the release of a game. Tekken is as close to a quintessential esport as it gets, a game where button mashing will not prevail past the very introductory stages. What Tekken lacks in gimmicky features it makes up for in it's incredible complex movesets. Most of the negative reviewers gave higher scores to much easier games, though I would advise those reviewers not to give Tekken 7 a negative review merely because they did not put in the time it takes to learn its systems. 3) Tekken 7 lacks a good plot. This doesn't even merit response. The plots of fighting games are background filler, nothing more. Saying that you didn't like Tekken 7 because of lack of plot is like saying you didn't enjoy the super bowl because it lacked plot. It's a sport. There isn't supposed to be a plot. Tekken 7 is the best fighting game there is, no contest. Buy it, take time to practice, and you'll be glad you did.
