Rated 2 out of 5 by from No local co-op My sister bought this for my kid thinking I could play it with him, and he was so excited (as was I) to play it with him. I can't believe they made this with only an online co-op. Really silly move.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No local co-op What's always been nostalgic of the TMNT games was the ability to play co-op with your friend. This game offers no local co-op. That's a HUGE mistake. You can play online multiplayer , but no local Co-op. So that means you and your buddy can't play side by side and try to clear the levels. It is truly a miss by Activision !!! Now my two boys have to take turns when playing this game. No fun !!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Platinum Mutation In my most honest opinion about TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan, The game has served its purpose about being a Ninja Turtles Game, You save New York in everyday life and Fight The Turtle's toughest goons in an action packed frenzy but there are some complications that can easily be fixed if you play the game and find its true way on how to play and strategize on bits and pieces of the game you will even have a chance on hard and very hard mode. Now to be frank, I personally like this game I haven't played a TMNT game in a long time and I was a HUGE Turtles fan back than and if you love Ninja Turtles than you will certainly want to get this game there's all the classic villains the turtles themselves and a very good story throughout the game yet there are times maybe the combat could get a little repetitive and somewhat a little confusing by that I mean whenever you get into a fight you get immediately lost on what's going on considering there's more than one turtle fighting at the same time along with the enemies yet luckily the game has a lock on feature that make the fights a bit more better note: the lock on works for lesser enemies and bosses. The games support Ai persay is of course the four turtles and they rely on commands like Attack, Wait, Protect etc. Keep in my mind you can switch between the four turtles so you do not always play as Leonardo in this game, you will actually be having to give your party Ai commands whenever it is truly necessary for example whenever there theirs a mission in a level where you have to stealth kill enemies the best thing to do is to tell the other turtles to wait so they don't move all over the place and fail the mission with them getting spotted yet somehow even if you fail a mission it won't affect the game whatsoever unless you want an S rank or secret boss fight so Its only important not to fail if you want those two things to happen and each mission in every level is actually randomized so it won't really he the same mission in a second run of the level you played. The games graphics and music I have no complaint over with and highly think its perfect for this game the turtles look awesome in the cut scenes and so do the villains it has a sort of comic book look to it and honestly that works. The multiplayer kinda makes the game more easier and a lot more fun while playing with other people online it may not have couch co-op but its satisfying as it is. A little tip about boss fights and fights in general if you find yourself as the last turtle standing here's what you must do you survive, dodge, heal, and keep surviving until your turtle bros revive in the action its pretty simply really that's how I was able to fight Super Shredder and most secret bosses

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No local co-op BLEH Rented this for my son and I to play TOGETHER, and we were sadly disappointed. What a waste Activision, might as well have not made the game at all. Awesome thought, poor execution. Should have made it like the X-Men Legends games......those were fun co-op. I'm not buying another PS4 to play with my kids. in the other room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The game is good. I've heard this game get alot of flak but really... its a decent game in all it doesn't deserve the negative reviews its getting. To me the game is a love letter to the franchise of the past. The gameplay is good and it might be a bit overwelhming at first to some people but I think they will catch on quickly. There are only 9 stages and the game is really short, but there are challenges to complete for medals, as well as items to collect to power up your heroes. There are some difficulty spikes in the game but really most of it isn't a problem. The characters bring back nostalgic memories and many of the enemies are types of enemies from earlier games like turtles in time or just old favorites from the cartoon and comics. Bosses are the best part about the game along with some of the cooldown moves, Donnie transforming into a giant hologram and beating up enemies with a swing of his fist is just wonderful. The turtles are all customizalbe in single player and you can switch between all of them at once. single player may be a bit crazy for people at first but I'm sure multiplayer is something people would enjoy. If you honestly play the game you will see how couch co-op really just wouldn't be a possibility but if you have 4 friends with PS4's give it a shot. I know a younger me would have enjoyed it and I think that most fans would enjoy the game. This game is perfect for old and young alike, casual or hardcore. Just give it a try really its not a bad game license or not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Couch/Local Co-Op = No Purchase As a casual gamer and a dad there aren't many local/couch co-op games that come along and it's a big disappointment this one wasn't. Sorry no can do on this one. Missed opportunity honestly. Just shows the sign of the times I guess.
