Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible Disappointment As a fan of the show I picked up a copy of the game. I didn't expect it to be the best game ever, but the game itself wasn't even decent or worth playing for more than 5 minutes. The graphics are PS2 level and laughable. The best moment of the game is the opening credits, because it's animated. The in-game animation talking scenes are cringeworthy because it's very repetitive and there's no movement from the characters. The game itself the gameplay and fight mechanics are good, and the enemies are aplenty. There's little variety in special maneuvers but generally fighting is fun. It's annoying when you die because you have to wait for an NPC to come and revive you (and the NPCs aren't the smartest). So it can be five minutes before an NPC will revive you. The story is weak, and non-linear. It continues the story of the anime which is good for fans, but only cameos and name of the game itself is about as fun as it gets for a tie-in. Overall it's a cheap waste of time and money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reptitive The first few hours of gameplay is great, but after a while you start to realize that all the bosses, mobs, quests and dungeons are exactly the same, with slight differences. All they did was change the color. It makes it really boring. Everything else is pretty great, especially the flying, but the repetition is just so unbearable for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for Fans, otherwise, no. The game is great if you're in love with the SAO anime and manga, but if you just like it casually, this game is by far, not for you. I got the game expecting to be entertained by the gameplay, story, and the character creation, but I was disappointing. The game is a rush job that was made with the sole reason to earn money from fans. The gameplay is not even that great unless you like Grinding. The story is...Okay? Without spoiling too much, it's the characters looking for a song, nothing special. And the character creation, the part most advertised, is lackluster at best. You get very little choices, (The max you get is two options.) And every race is gender locked, most being female. In my opinion, Sword Art Online: Lost Song is not a great game, but not a bad one, just an okay one for die-hard fans. -Dice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YES YES YES! AWESOME! AMAZING COMBAT AND LOOT SYSTEM, REALLY GOOD FLYING, STORY IS ACTUALLY GOOD! FANTASTIC MULTIPLAYER, AND OVERALL JUST AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR ANY SAO FANS OR CASUAL OR HARDCORE GAMERS ALIKE

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bland Combat is extremely repetitive, dungeons are too short, you mostly fight waves of weak enemies instead of having an actual challenge, there's barely a story, and character customization is practically nonexistent despite being a major selling point. I've never played a more generic action rpg.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just like the anime When i first turned this game on, i was a little disappointed that there was only English subtitles and not a full on dub! Which is why i rated the sound an 6. As for the game itself. It is just like you continuing the anime series. Which to me is a great feeling! The controls are pretty much on point. Annoying camera angles at time. Overall i feel its an amazing game! The grind to getting to level 1000 isn't overbearing. The multiplayer is actually pretty good for this game as well! The side missions will take you a while to complete! Once you beat the game you can actually pay a new game + bringing over all your equipment and learned skills! If you love the series this is definitely a game you should pick up!
