Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfinished Game Lack of characters and modes and disappointing sales

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Missing things, but what it does have is amazing I would not recommend this game for anyone who wishes to do anything other than play online as this is really the only way to enjoy this game. However, playing online is awesome! You have the option of setting a minimum connection for opponents so you NEVER has to play with lag. The gameplay is great, many improvements from street fighter 4. Sure there are not very many characters yet but there is plenty variety to choose from still and many more are coming as free dlc. This game is great if you love playing fighting games competitively and the things that it lacks (like a good offline experience) will be coming in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Great Game Ruined by Capcom's Greed What I liked: >Streamlined gameplay that makes the game much easier to pick up and play for dummies like me. >The combat is so much fun. It's a lot faster and more fluid than past games, particularily USF4. >Great character design >I really like most of the new characters, with Rashid and Laura being my personal favorites. >Great gameplay that runs at a very stable 60 frames-per-second. What I disliked: >The launch version is pitiful. Capcom rushed this game out the door to train pro players for the upcoming Capcom Pro Tour, thus disregarding everyone except a particular market. >It's missing basic features for a fighting game: arcade mode, spectator mode, private lobbies, punishments for rage-quitting, etc. >Though I haven't had any personal experience with this, the servers at launch were a mess. That is unacceptable for a mainly online-only game. >A criminally small roster Look, I don't care if the stuff they promised us will be patched in later for free. The bottom line is that this should have NEVER been released now, and that's the only version I'll include on here.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor They shouldn't have released this game until it was finished. Very disappointed in this game. And no arcade mode is a definite killer! Don't waste your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Investment This game has a great appeal to me but it also caused a great deal of confusion considering the low ratings by other people. This time around Capcom is taking a different approach and is also delivering on their word. Everything said has happened and it's just the beginning. Season pass is also worth it considering the amount of content in shop. Also worth noting that game can only go up from here and you have to have an open mind and not focus on what happened on launch hence the confusion. This game has a lot to deliver and characters to learn. Down the line you'll notice an improvement as the dlc characters are being released since the game will constantly be updating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only good if you like Online Once you get past the 45 minutes of story missions, and boring survival mode. This game only has online to offer. As someone playing street fighter games since the original Street Fighter 2, I was profoundly dissapointed in a lack of single player arcade mode. Online seems actually worse than the last game. Matchmaking is extremely unbalanced and horrible to get through. Waiting 3-5 minutes of connection time to play an endless stream of Ken's and Ryu button mashers for 30 seconds each was enough to make me return the game. I feel like the game makes you wait so long for matchmaking it should have been called "Street Fighter : Connecting". This game has moved beyond old timers like me I guess. If it is nostalgia you are looking for, stay away, this game that feels like a less than complete game will leave you frustrated and wishing to dust off previous Street Fighter games wishing they would add things like arcade mode, and different costumes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its like a bata test for 60$ Yes, the graphics are better then SF4but there is some clipping and it feels like it needs a better coat of polish. lacking in a lot of detail in the moves. The back grounds are beautiful but there are only 10 of them. As for sound; it is as good at your hardware. The "GAME", (if you can gall it that) is severely lacking, even for something that promises massive updates. The controls are good and intuitive and the combat (what little there is) is fun, but the game is simply not finished. There's virtually no content to speak of. Out of the box right now (3-12-16) the game contains a story mode, that is barely even an intro to each character. The story mode has about 3 to 5 rounds per character to fight through and takes a little over an hour. There is a survival mode that does very little to increase the playability of single player mode. And that is it, that's all you get for single player mode. The game contains 16 characters this is 2016. This is a $25 game for a $60 price tag. I am all about single player mode's, but even if you're in this just for the online experience, it's still not worth it. Their servers are slow and often crash. Flight lounges can only contain two people and everything is very bare-bones. Overall the game feels more like a beta test. There was no reason for this to be released as an actual game for $60. Some will call this a long-term investment, I simply call it unfinished. Perhaps in June it will be better. So if you intend to buy wait until after June and read reviews at that point. As for right now. Stay away!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My biggest let down so far this year I have to say that I have always loved street fighter. Not only do I love street fighter, I am really good at it. When street fighter IV came out, I went to gamestop and played in their first tournament and won the whole thing with Ken. I bought this game and was so excited. I know the story modes have always been kind of lame at best but the story mode in this game was terrible. 3 matches and you are done with it for about each character. I mean come on right? It's like Capcom wasn't even trying and just pushed a fighting game to the shelves. No more than 12 characters in this game? Also a huge let down. They expect to bring more characters and for you to pay for them. They also didn't bring back favorites right off the bat. No Akuma/Blanka/Sagat/Guile? Just a terrible game. Also I tried to play online and it was a lag fest. Played with a friend only 200 miles from me and the lag was really difficult to play with. I will be returning this to gamestop with my head held low. RIP Street Fighter
