Rated 4 out of 5 by from deep this games has great physics and force feedback. the graphics are serviceable to good. the sound is good but the co driver just isnt working out for me even though there are many options for him. there are lots of different rallys to enter, this game should last a long time. bottom line is that the driving is alot of fun

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as bad as I first thought **GAMESTOP: I didn't see an option to update my original review, so I'm posting this 2nd one. It should replace my previous review. Thanks.** I've now had more time to spend in the game, and it's not as bad as I first thought. There are disappointments, but there's good stuff as well. The default car you start the game in has a pretty mushy suspension, and the steering & brakes seem abnormally slow to respond and pretty ineffectual in general. The tires never seem to get very good traction, even on dry pavement. In my first race, the default AI was set to semi-pro and I came in last. Even with the AI set to "easy" and the suspension made as stiff as it could be, I only improved one position. Similar results in the next race. Happily, I had better luck in subsequent races, so things are starting to look up. My original concern was that you would have to beat the first race in order to progress at all, but thankfully, that's not the case. You do earn in game credits regardless of your finishing position, and once you have enough credits, you can buy better cars. *Tip: thankfully, there is the option of a driving line. In Race Options, it's called "Ideal Trajectory", and can be a real lifesaver.* Graphically, the game looks great, and it looks like it has a decent assortment of race events to compete in and cars to acquire. I've tried several different cars so far, and unfortunately, they've all felt kind of soft and disconnected. But not so much that it would prevent me from playing the game. I'll certainly continue to play it until Dirt Rally comes out, and then decide if I want to keep it long term.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not looking good so far... Just a few quick first impressions for now - admittedly, I haven't spent a lot of time playing the game yet, so hopefully it will get better once I've spent more time in the game. But so far, this looks like it may be another disappointment. The default car you start the game in has a pretty mushy suspension, and the steering & brakes seem abnormally slow to respond and pretty ineffectual in general. The default AI was set to semi-pro and I came in last. Even with the AI set to "easy" and the suspension made as stiff as it could be, I only improved one position. Graphically, the game looks great, but if it's going to continue to be as difficult as my first couple of races seem to indicate, I may be trading this game back in very soon. If things improve, I'll try to update this review. But it's not looking good so far. Maybe Dirt Rally will be better?
