Innovation Across The Entire Pitch

Confidence in Defending

  • Defensive Agility - A new suite of 25 feature changes to defensive locomotion creates agile defenders that track attacking opponents.
  • Defend as a Unit - New defensive AI gives players better awareness of dangerous space on the pitch relative to the ball and their opponents.
  • New Tackling Fundamentals - A brand new slide tackle system gives you control of slide length and offers a chance to abort mid-tackle and get back in position. There is now huge variety available in tackling options, such as Fake Tackles, In Air Standing Tackles, and Full Body Tackles.

Control in Midfield

  • Interception Intelligence - Rewritten for FIFA 16, Interception Intelligence can be adjusted in Custom Tactics so you can control how aggressive your teammates are on the ball. You are in complete control of build-up play in midfield.
  • Passing With Purpose - FIFA 16 introduces a revolution in passing. Now play sharp, incisive passes so you can find teammates with precision. Using a new button mechanic, ping driven ground passes to find teammates in tight spaces to open up your attacking options.

Moments of Magic

  • No Touch Dribbling - Lionel Messi was motion captured to create an innovative dribble control system that gives players the freedom to decide not just how, but when to touch the ball. This completely revolutionizes 1v1 scenarios and gives players more opportunities in attack than ever before.
  • Dynamic Crossing - Crossing in FIFA 16 changes the way both the crosser and their receiving teammate approach the ball. New cross targeting means your strikers will meet the ball on the run and put defenses in difficult situations as more balls are played behind the back line.
  • Clinical Finishing - Clinical Finishing gives players a new understanding of where to strike the ball so you can finish like a pro. Newly defined orientation of the foot and ankle gives players more variety in shooting, making for exciting goals.

Compete At A Higher Level,/h4>
  • FIFA Trainer - Whether you're an EA SPORTS FIFA expert, or you're playing for the first time, the FIFA Trainer will help you realize your potential. Learn as you play with an optional graphic overlay (HUD) that prompts you with gameplay options depending on your position on the pitch and the level of trainer (automatic or manual).

We've built unique animations and 3D player models for women and motion captured top players from the US Women's National Team to use as reference for player movement. Women are playable in Kick Off, an Offline Tournament, and Online Friendly Matches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than the reviews For the life of me I have no clue why the reviews on this game are as low as they are. Maybe I am easily pleased or maybe I just am lucky but I enjoy this game a lot. Yeah there are some weird bounces but no big deal in my book. This game is enjoyable no matter what the nay-sayers say.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre First of all, I'd like to say that I've been playing FIFA since FIFA 10. I was(not anymore) a loyal customer of EA. The old FIFAs were great, and one thing we all liked about them is that they got better each year. (Or at least had some changes). FIFA has probably reached its gameplay summit in FIFA 14, which was a truly amazing game. FIFA 15 made substitions easier in the menu and made ultimate team even more popular. Besides the terrible goalkeepers, pace advantage, and glitches, the game was still somewhat enjoyable. The reason I haven't talked about FIFA 16 yet is because it is the EXACT same game as 15. Nothing besides the soundtrack, upgraded stats, and new ultimate team features is different in a good way. The pack luck in ultimate team is even worse then before, and I thought that was impossible after watching last year. I saw a man on youtube spend $99.99 in FIFA points and not get a single player over 86 rated. After promising to improve to the defense, all EA has done is downgrade the offense. Anyone who has played before will get frustrated on how hard it is to score. If you are new to soccer games, I recommend Pro Evolution Soccer 16.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst one yet This year's installment of EA Sports Fifa is completely and 100% unenjoyable for me. The most disappointing game in a string of disappointing installments of this game. There's no sense of control over your team with the AI constantly letting you down. Passes no longer travel to the player you've chosen but often end up rolling in bewildering directions which are usually straight to your opponent's feet. Game results are highly manipulated by the AI leaving you wondering if you're actually playing a game or just watching a predetermined result play out in artificial ways that presumably were meant to create drama but instead produce only disappointment in what could be such a fun game if EA would allow you to control your own destiny.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BOOOO!!!!!!!! FIFA 16 is soooo bad!!!!. The passing sucks, the players are like dough, the fans look weird, I had some glitches. FIFA 16 worst soccer yet. KEEP FIFA 15!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what is used to be...!!! The game play is awful...you can not enjoy it. Many complained about the defense last year and it gets even worst this year. If someone is slightly better player then you, you do not have a chance to ever win the game. Years ago I had bunch of friends get together and play tournaments...everyone had a chance if they play good defense, which made it so much more fun. Now, one player wins all because you have no chance of stopping the offense player without foul and getting yellow and red cards. It is just frustrating and make you not to play the game ever again. Last year I got so mad with fifa 15 for similar reason...just went to game stop and sold it. This year I wanted to check it one more time to see if they improved the game before I decide to never buy this game again. I guess I will never buy this game again. Thank you FIFA for allthe years of fun but it is time to go separate ways.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's awful This game is honestly too frustrating to even play. It is basically pointless to play single player anymore unless you enjoy watching the AI pass the ball around the back for the majority of the game and not allow you to gain any possession whatsoever. The game play is just god awful. Passes don't go where you want them to, average paced defenders are able to outrun the fastest attackers, and goalies seem to save everything (including your own keeper). Packs are a waste of time considering you won't get anything good unless you dump hundreds of dollars on points. EA is driving Fifa into the ground further and further with each installment and I am proud to say I will NOT be buying another game from them until they get their act together.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. This is by far the most frustratingly bad FIFA I've played. Let's start with what it does right. The graphics are good, but basically look identical to 15 with slightly more detail in the stadiums. That's about it. The refereeing is absolutely atrocious. Shoulder to shoulder is almost always called a fowl, any touch inside the box is a penalty, and cards are awarded on nearly every tackle. Get the ball first but still take out the player? RED. The passing mechanics are so awful that even players like Messi and Ronaldo can barely complete 60% of their passes. Shooting is way off too. Throw ins, quite possible the EASIEST PART OF PLAYING are hard and connect maybe 60% of the time. I would like to thank FIFA and EA for making this so bad that I will never spend a dime on another one of their games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good I've found that his FIFA is a lot more realistic that the others before it. The only thing i don't like about the game so far, is the pack luck in ultimate team. If your spending so much money on a game and expecting something good as an outcome, you'd usually get it. But, not with FIFA. That's all i really have to complain about
